What you said about mickey being so different in the womens clothing and earrings I think has to do with the contrast between this version of mickey and the one in season one that couldnt even allow anyone to imagine he could be gay or feminine in anyway. Its amazing to now see him confident in himself enough to rock that disguise without a second of hesitation (also damn he looks good doing it 😂).
I get your point of why mickey being a runaway prisoner is not exactly the best thing for ian at this point, and that it would have been a bad choice for ian to go to mexico with him, but mickey is always, always the one person who can and will make ian happy and vice versa. Theyre soulmates and soulmates always find each other.
You have no idea how much I cried at the scenes of Frank losing Monica and Ian losing Mickey happening at the same time
3:59 Brad is one of the absolute best characters, and his take on sugar being a substitute for drinking is unironically good advice because at the very least you won't want to drink when you've had enough sugar to make you feel like you're going to vomit anyway lmao
"Sober Yoda"
A great addition throughout the rest of the series
@@jramz5176 he really is one of the best added characters, I actually can't think of a better one
Originally S7 was supposed to be the final season, and thefore the whole Mickey's sendoff to Mexico. As John Wells (showrunner) said, he can't let Mickey out of jail to walk on streets of Chicago. And as a final episode for Mickey, it was heavy of references to Ian's and Mickey's past, starting with writer Etan Frankel, who started Gallavich by hooking them up in season 1 and now ended them. Kev went to Fairy Tale, gay bar where Ian worked during seasons 4 and 5. Night scene was reference to season 2, where Mickey said 'you wanna spread a blanket out and look for shooting stars next'. Mickey and Ian where again compared to Frank and Monica (favorite theme in season 5), a la messy, chaotic, violent relationship down to the death of Monica == death of Mickey for Ian. Monica and Mickey both crossed the river, moved to the other side (Siddhartha), but Frank and Ian couldn't go with them. And everything that happens to Ian in season 8 is direct consequence him burying Mickey in form of Monica.
well put ❤
This makes A LOT of sense 🙌 I didn’t know this was supposed to be the last season 😮
The long and short of it is that the writers had a hate boner for mickey (for Noel more like) and refused to understand how attached to mickey the audience (and Cameron himself) was, so they wrote him out in the most definitive way possible. Considering s7 was supposed to be the final season it's sort of like kicking someone when they're already down, no hopeful "Ian and Mickey could maybe reunite after" kinda ending, which is unbelievably dumb to then have Ian say I love you for the first time HERE, have him drop everything and everyone at the mere mention of Mickey, some baffling choices for a supposed final goodbye.
Etan Frankel (writer of this episode) didn't have any hate boner, it was John Wells, who's motto was: every actor and character is replaceble, and was pissed off, that fandom didn't let Mickey go. Frankel actually had a boner for Noel's ability to act around the script, and he made sure, to write Ian the biggest, heartless douchbag there is. Frankel did always his homework.
@@mudaKana I didn't mean any specific writer, it was more of a generalized hate towards Mickey that has come since Noel refused to come back as a regular without being paid like one.
John Wells or whoever for him had Ian and others say some completely out of character things about Mickey considering how they "left" him the last time he was around.
If that wasn't an attempted character assassination I don't know what it could be.
I don’t know any of this stuff, so I’m just hearting everything 😂
Not true! This is what the Mickey fandom has been spinning for about 6/7 years now! It just keeps getting worse! This is why John Wells got hate mail and death threats! If they could do that I don't think they should be considered too credible!
If an actor isn't available for a show, they have to move on!
We finally get the introduction to Brad!! 🔥 love his character
Goodbye Mickey😢
RIP Monica💀
WeIcome Brad.
I think you'll enjoy season 8 with Lip and Brad's storyline.
Told you that this last bunch of eposodes was hard to handle , lot of stuff happens 💔
But a special thanks go to kevin that always make me laugh even in the darkest of situations ❤
*ian and Mickey going to Mexico* “this isn’t me anymore” *ian goes back to Chicago and proceeds to blow up a van*
binge and finished the series a few days ago, awesome seeing you also watch this show
How long did it take you to watch all 11 seasons?
@@Crawf08around 3ish months
I love Brad so much. Can't wait for the next episode.
Finally caught up! Gotta say, I really enjoy your reactions to everything and the insights you give. It's actually really refreshing to see these different takes. Like how you immediately went 'Ian no' last episode while most of the fandom went 'Ian yes'. I myself was more on the 'Ian Maybe' side for that one, since I know what pull Ian and Mick have towards each other, but I also know that Ian actually had something good going for him. From the job he has to even dating Trevor (though I always thought that they could have been better off as friends in the first place, Ian literally just came out of a relationship where he was cheated on). I'm actually glad that Ian dated different people, it helped him grow. If it wasn't for Caleb he might not have gotten that job and if it wasn't for Trevor, he might have never learned more about the LGBTQIA+ community.
I started my first ever job after finishing college this week (government gig, I work as an extra helper on the legal department of the local government), so it will be nice to keep up with your reactions as I settle into my job.
Thank you for another great reaction.
brad!! youre gonna love him
Oooohhh Brad! You're gonna love him Danny ❤
Great episode can't wait for the next one
I think that this mini storyline with our favorite soulmates Mickey and ian, was a little gift by the writers to make we forget the absolute cold and detached goodbye in season 6 when Mickey was in jail and ian treat him like an anknown that count less than zero.
I take it like a precious gift and now i'm happy that Mickey is finally free and aware that ian love him too, even if they are apart, but soulmates remain soulmates forever, no matter what.
I hope you'll understand what i want to say because english is not my first language 😅
You did a great job 👏 definitely understood
you don't like glitter, that's a deal breaker, unsubbing, jkjkjk 😂
Hate the glitter! 🤣
Glitter is the herpes of arts and crafts.
And now I hate it more 🤣 🤣
Spot on prologue of Mickey!
OMG danny ! Now i wanna see you cover in glitter 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Get in line 🤣
Youre my favorite RUclipsr since you started your shameless reactions!! I think you'd like "Bojack Horseman" maybe, it also talks about alcoholism and those daily life problems and your reactions could be interesting!:D
Awesome video.
Oof the ending was hard with saying goodbye to Mickey (for now) and Monica's death. I really feel for Ian since he was the closest to Monica as well. Also reading the comments i didn't know Brad had so many shooters lmao!!! he's good for Lip's story though.
Just finished the show. honestly it was crazy and amazing
i hope you're uploading another episode of GOT soon. my mom is starting on season 5 right now with me lol. i know i have seen it already, but i love to have excuses to rewatch it. do you ready to movies? i have one in mind it’s evil dead 2013. one of my favorite movies. idk if you’re into those.
❤❤❤
These last two episodes are really top notch, especially the Frank and Monica storyline.
While most question whether Mickey is good for Ian due to his criminal dealings, I ask is Ian good for Mickey? For 5 seasons their relationship was stuck in a viscous loop of Ian giving Mickey a piece of Heaven, then ripping it away. My philosophy is pearl clutch at Mickey all you want, he has the biggest heart in the whole show, and was always (maybe save for the first two seasons) more loyal to Ian than Ian was to him. By a lot. I think Ian took advantage of that.
Prison is no place to rehabilitate. I don’t wish it on my worst enemy, and no spoilers, but my forever hope is that Mickey had the time of his life in Mexico
I was waiting for this episode from season 3, I swear.
I can't get over the final scenes. Imagine losing two the most understanding people in your life: one drove away in fucking Mexico and another one died.
I didn't love Monica, I more hated her. But she still was Ian's mother, and what's more important, she understood his bypolar side.
I don't have to say anything about Mickey, we all know his impact to Ian's life.
And welcome Brad :))))
