    I’m so glad you came out with this! I’ve been looking for a pattern to make stockings for my cats (don’t laugh at me! 😂) and these are so cute! I’ve also been looking for a reasonably priced stocking template for a while so this was doubly perfect for me!

    So fun seeing you sew a home decor project! I've been using a 28mm rotary cutter for clothing and crafting pattern cutting for years.

    Excellent service from Fat Quarter Shop. I ordered this template set on Thursday and it was delivered to my front door 4 days later. So excited to use it. Thanks again FQS.

    For the lining - you can do as Kimberly did and place fabrics right sides together, draw around the template, but then sew 1/4" in side the drawn line - then cut on the drawn line.

    I LOVE this. I made so many. I used some licensed and some print on demand fabric so that they were specific to each recipient's interests. I will say my 1/4" foot did not like the Soft & Stable at all, but no matter. It was fine with the standard foot. And I added a zig zag stitch to the raw edges before turning the cuff over, to give an enclosed edge where the layers meet (my own ocd stuff). I'm giving as gifts as well and I'm sure I'll be making more next year. Thanks so much, FQS!

    What’s the difference between “woven and cotton fabric? Is that flannel? Great video Kimberly!

    • @maryackermann
      @maryackermann 2 года назад +2

      Woven in this context means that any pattern the fabric is showing has been created through weaving different color threads together and not just printing with different colors on top of plain (woven) fabric like quilting cotton.😉

    Are you not able to use the templates for cutting with a rotary cutter?

    • @christinalaska
      @christinalaska 2 года назад +2

      I think tracing would be easier except for the first rectangles. Isn’t this cute?!?

    • @shellyculver4239
      @shellyculver4239 2 года назад +7

      She said the template is extra thick so yes you can use rotary cutter to cut it out instead of scissors

      Perhaps use a zickzack stitch? Or stitch the blanket stitch by hand.
