I seriously used to think you were a little crazy with the starching ….until I tried it! Won’t go back to unstarched fabric ever. It is a GAME CHANGER!
thank you for sharing your starching method. I've never starched before and have trouble with triangles. I'm now going to try your starch method and I believe it will make a difference on my triangles.
Could not love this more! I always have leftover jelly roll pieces, to the point of not buying jelly rolls anymore because I don’t know what to do with them! This is fantastic! Thank you!
💕💕I’ve noticed most of your scrappy quilts are some of my favorite quilts.🌸 my new mission, use all my fabrics.💕I’ll be using your ideas thank you so much.💕
What a cute and easy quilt. I had to chuckle, because I felt like an alien kidnapped Kimberly and replaced her because you did so many things you don't normally do...You didn't cut exact size piecing, you didn't pin, you made an on-point quilt and the music was different. I think it's all great! You've got such a creative mind and are so inspiring. Thanks for another great idea for a quick and simple quilt!
Kimberly, I want to thank you. I starch now before I cut and it has adequate a big difference in accuracy for me. Also, I poke a pin where I need things to line up and my sewing is so much better. I'm doing Edita Sitar's mystery quilt which is wedges and they are lining up so good, all thanks to your tips. Thank you.
A fun chat and a cute quilt block! After a busy day in my sewing room and filming, I get to sit and watch you work while I hand quilt! I hope you have a lovely day ahead. Thank you for posting this video!
Love the Tanya Wheen line I hope I can find a Vintage Christmas Book .. love the Riley Blake free heart quilt pattern .. the new Charity quilt is beautiful.. cant wait!
I love this scrappy jelly roll quilt. Would be a great and quick quilt to make for a baby shower. People could also write in the middle of the squares so the child could read them when they get older.
Yes! First time I've ever seen jelly strips used in a quilt that didn't turn out just looking like a series/bunch of strips put together--sometimes even just willy nilly mashed together. Also a great idea for a baby quilt or a signature quilt at a retirement party!
Another inspiring video.. Appreciate the background of your assembly from start to finish…also another great tip to remember is make a ‘mock’ block first…ask me how i know😉. Thank you.
What a great idea! I always have 2-1/2 inch binding strips left over. I could always add those into my jelly roll strips as well. It would be a great use up. Thanks a bunch for giving us great ideas.
I really like these videos where you show the whole process in time lapse! And perfect timing for this pattern, too. I’m finishing up a project now and I think I have about 15 JR strips leftover from it!
So cute. I know you don’t like appliqué but this would look so cute with flowers appliquéd into the centers of the squares. Thank you for showing your techniques.
Thanks for another great video. I had a friend who was a barefoot Quilter until she dropped her rotary cutter on her foot. She wound up at hospital with very bad cut on her foot. Now we always wear shoes when quilting.
Kimberly, I love this pattern. I not only have leftover strips from jelly rolls I never knew what to do with but I also have leftover layer cakes. It would be the same idea for the layer cake pieces except the center would be cut smaller. I cannot wait to make some charity quilts. Thank you 🙏
Hello Pauline! Don't miss next weeks livestream! She will be talking through how to make the next block for our 2022 Heartfelt Charity Quilt: ruclips.net/video/JaG7EgfMGrw/видео.html
I just want to say, these are my absolute favorites videos on your channel! I really get inspired by watching Kimberly’s process. It brings confidence in my own process and introduces something new to try. I also just noticed that her sewing room floor is the same exact flooring in my apartment. Too funny. We just had a remodel in our units to this type of gray flooring. I really like it. Keep making these kinds of video tutorials. It’s a real treat between live shows on Friday’s!
Great video Kimberly! You make me laugh… and also feel a little jealous of your organizational skills! Thanks for the easy and fast idea for using orphaned jelly roll strips!
Love watching you sewing in your studio!!! I have learned so much from you. I can't thank you enough for all you do with quilting as well as cr I ss a twitching. Blessings to you and your lovely family! YOU ARE AWSOME‼️❤🙏❤‼️
Thank you so much for this in-depth tutorial! I always appreciate the fact that you share every single step in your process. It's helped me to improve my own quilting. Blessings to you today and always!
I am a newer Canadian quilter ... I have only recently been able to find spray starch in stores here .... I don't saturate like Kimberly does, but i am very happy with how much easier the fabric is to work with after starching
I have made homemade starch, but wanted to compare it to commercial starch ... I like the results with commercial starch better ... I only lightly spray ... I want to try Sta flo and plan on picking some up when i can get over the boarder!
I’m experiencing sewing room envy. I love the wall of thread, all the colors-it’s a work of art. Great idea starching in the bathroom. I stopped starching, as I hated getting it on the carpet, walls and window coverings. I’m going to have to get myself a drying rack also. Thank you for all the great tips.
I really enjoy watching you create scrappy quilts. I don’t always want to spend money on new designer lines, and fabric bundles. This came out beau and it’s on point!😁
You need to get one of those handle thingies for your darts, so it’s eight you don’t have to keep pushing down which is one finger. It’s like a trigger and it just causes it to come out. Lowe’s has them Walmart has them. they’re great!
You should maybe try the starch concentrate. It was great when I used to starch my husband's dress shirts. You can use it diluted in a spray bottle, or full strength in the sink or a bucket. STIFF!!
This turned out very nice! I really like that you shared all the behind the scenes. It's actually very helpful and I appreciate your detail and organization ☺️. Love your sewing room ❤️
Kimberly I use a Vinyl table cloths to protect my ironing board. You know the ones with felt backing that you use for picnics. Cheap and doesn’t absorb the starch easy to clean up.
Love your videos! It would be nice if you could provide a pdf of the patterns that you develop so that we could get a copy and put it n our stash. Thanks for sharing.
I seriously used to think you were a little crazy with the starching ….until I tried it! Won’t go back to unstarched fabric ever. It is a GAME CHANGER!
Thank you for showing and explaining the starching process! Great info for beginners!
I allways like to see your choice of backing particularly if you use your extra bloks, just love this quilt.
Thank you.
Finally an easy quilt, with not much waste. My kinda quilt.
Greetings from Hungary, Europe x
thank you for sharing your starching method. I've never starched before and have trouble with triangles. I'm now going to try your starch method and I believe it will make a difference on my triangles.
You have a nice sewing room.
Just for the record, I really appreciate this video. Makes you seem human. Haha instead of the happy "look it's finished." LoL
Thank you Kimberly 👍🏻❤️👍🏻
Could not love this more! I always have leftover jelly roll pieces, to the point of not buying jelly rolls anymore because I don’t know what to do with them! This is fantastic! Thank you!
Starching seems to make the quilting more precise and neat. Love it Kimberly!
Great hint for starching jelly roll strips. I love fabric with body!
I love anything Lori Holt. My favorite is the paper hearts and the snowman quilt.
💕💕I’ve noticed most of your scrappy quilts are some of my favorite quilts.🌸 my new mission, use all my fabrics.💕I’ll be using your ideas thank you so much.💕

Truly lovely Kimberly. 💞💞☺
Thanks for explaining the use of starch. I see now how it helps with the stability of the quilt. Looking forward to trying this method.
Another terrific tutorial Kimberley ! Thank you
Thanks for the great stash Buster. It will be easy to increase the size of this quilt top to use up even more strips!
Oh, thank you! Now I need to go sort my strips. Thank you!
fast motion is good. that would be perfect for those who are looking for a signature quilt of something special to do for a center.
I’m signed up for Fig Tree Strawberry quilt. I can’t wait! 🍓
Hi Kimberly, hope your day/ week will be and is good.
Great for a baby quilt (42”x42.5” finished), but easily expanded with more blocks and a border. Thanks for this tutorial video Kimberly!
Looks good. I may try this one. Thanks for the great demo.

I just used a video you made of the original jelly roll quilt! First ever quilt I'm trying!
Love that, Kimberley. Great idea, and very effective. Thanks for sharing your talent and expertise. 💕🇦🇺

Beautiful & great way to use extra strips. Thank you Kimberly for a great idea! ❤️
Beautiful quilt. Most excellent instructions. Thank you ❤️ 🦋

Love this, have plenty of leftover strips to play with, thanks for the inspiration.
I love this! Thank you for sharing.
Great quilt. I can see machine embroidery designs in the centers of some of the blocks.
I really liked watching you make this in fast motion.
The square clapper!! Very cool I've got to get me one!! First I've seen a square clapper.
I like it!
Like this quilt.Like your sewing space. Like the quilt on your back wall very much Kimberley. Thanks🍀
Beautiful work Kimberly
So many good tips. I just added products to my wish list. Thanks for the info and beautiful work.
I love the easy quilts that come together quickly. Simply beautiful and beautifully simple.
What a lovely quilt! I would like to try this!
A great quilt but I'm loving your drying rack over the tub.

I had to stop watching too. Also, when I started quilting, I was told that searching will weaken the fabric and attack bugs.😢
Thank you for showing us how you prepare and make your quilts! Love the behind the scene videos💖
Beautiful, u r so lucky to have a spare bathroom to starch xxx

I’ve never starch any of my material thank you for that Elberta 😊😊

Another fun quilt on my list! Thanks, Kimberly! ⚘
I’ve been asked to do a wedding signature quilt and this would be easy and brilliant, thank u again Kimberly for another fantastic tutorial xxx
Thanks, awesome❤️
That's a nice quick quilt!
I am a newer Canadian quilter ... I have only recently been able to find spray starch in stores here .... I don't saturate like Kimberly does, but i am very happy with how much easier the fabric is to work with after starching
I was thinking the spray starch may get expensive, getting it so wet. Why not make up starch the old fashioned way and dunk and dry your fabric?
There are videos out there on how to make yourself some starch from cornstarch.
I have made homemade starch, but wanted to compare it to commercial starch ... I like the results with commercial starch better ... I only lightly spray ... I want to try Sta flo and plan on picking some up when i can get over the boarder!
Gorgeous quilt!
A big big thank you for starching. There is such controversy over prewashing and starching. Thanks again
Love these videos
This was great!! You are an excellent instructor 👏👏👏
That is a beautiful quilt is easy to make. Thank you for a nice tutorial. Walk in Peace

You could get some liquid starch in a bowl and dilute by half water, soak the fabric good then take it out, squish flat, hang and dry.
Hello Gail! Thank you for your suggestion. Kimberly prefers to spray her fabric.
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing the process with us. It is great inspiration!
That was interesting, I enjoyed watching your process……..thanks for sharing
That was completely fascinating. Thank you so much!

Excellent
I really enjoy these process videos. It’s nice to compare with what I do at home. 💜💜

Thank so much. I’ve got oodles of left over strips.
I need a quick quilt for a give away. This will be perfect.
