What's funny is, that the "Obliteration Ray" is considered a melee weapon.
You can check it categorized in the melee-weapons tab in Creative Mod.
Kinda wished it was mentioned in this video due to that. XD
as a melee weapon I would S tier it. Its amazing.
Love the video! And I just wanna say that these are my opinions about the weapons:
1. Anchor Axe - I would say it is close to S tier/ at least on A tier. With crit builds, you can get a whooping damage and let's not forget its +40% crit damage and easily eliminate groups in 1 swing. Plus a knockback is quite useful when you try to get away from certain enemies if you have low HP, of course it is a chance but at least it is better than nothing.
2. Atlantean Worm Sword - Maybe B+ tier or A-.. this would be perfect for lifesteal build with hybrid of attack speed builds.
this is great. I can see how the anchor axe would totally be better than I rated it.
While I agree that the Atlantean Worm sword would be great in those builds, I've made a few of those builds and I haven't been very impressed with the overall effectiveness of the builds. And I dont think the sword does anything to push those builds into the "good" category.
Incidentally, I will eventually do a "build tier list" video, but its going to be a long time coming.
I think a really cool idea to give the C, D, and F tier weapons a bit of viability and some niche use cases in endgame could be to give them a special ability and a secondary attack (If they lack one) upon reaching 18. An idea I had could be a secondary attack on the slime sword that summons a spiked slime minion that just runs at an enemy and deals your thorns damage. Gives it a cool unique ability by making it a summon weapon, lets it really effectively fit into a thorns build, and the slow can prime faster enemies for your slime minion to make contact.

I do find that the octarine axe’s extra reach on the charge swing versus the battle axe makes it slightly better on crowds.
Fun fact, battle axe that drop from minotaur caveling stone biome, is litterally carry on ever dungeon coz its broken. From pufungi till lava biome. Even torturing every mob in shimmering.
Explosive build? even if explosives are extremely underclassed.
Then rune song is the best weapon in the game tho
We'd all like it to be the best, but right now...its just not. Its the hardest weapon to get, thats for sure. But its damage, speed and bonus' get outclasses by tons of other weapons.
i have a little off topic question: what is overall better galaxite or solarite?
right now I would say Galaxite. but the solarite workbench is pretty empty at the moment. I'm hoping 1.0 will have more to it.
