    I recorded this video BEFORE the Quality of Love update came out. Because of the changes to turrets in that update, there is now a level 2 stone moss farm design I made that uses turrets. That video will be out in a couple weeks. This farm design is still excellent and is the one I am currently using in my mob farm.

      Nice video, just finished your other mob farm vidos yesterday and build one.
      it would be rad to see the tentacles in action to really see the potential though.

      @@CurrryWurrrst I made a short video that shows that off. I meant to put it in the main video but accidentally left it out during editing. Sorry about that

    Having a caveling brute charge me down the conveyor belts I'm setting up is officially the scariest thing that's happened to me in this game.

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад

      I can see how that would be terrifying. The upcoming level 3 farm takes so long to build that you are constantly having to deal with spawn. It can be stressful.

    I have a similar build... Mobs keep damaging turrets. Not sure how to prevent that.

    Lmao. Just finished the advanced farm video and went looking for this one.

    This one didn't work out so well for me. Left the mold section by itself for about 12 hrs. Only ever got 4 tentacles. Slapped the moss in any way and it worked for a day. When I saved and booted the game later I spawned and watched the tentacles immediately get slaughtered despite seeming stable prior. Going to try and work out the turret version.

      I do have a turret version coming out soon as well. But Im discovering it has a few drawbacks too. The some of the turrets keep getting broken. If you figure out a good turret design let me know! I'd love to see it.

    I'm fairly early on right now, trying to find a way to farm Stone Cavelings. This looks doable for my freshly-scarlet bum. But I can't for the love of me figure out why this "needs" Lit Floors. It just seems like you were using them as a tracing tool. Couldn't I get the same effect with stone floor, or wood floor? I mean, yeah they light up, and I could see how they are useful inside the farm itself, but other than that, would you say they are a "need"? I know it is a bit of a nitpick. I'm just trying to farm Cavelings for halloween goodie bags, and and AFK farm seems like a good way to do it.

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад +1

      it doesn't need lit floors at all. I just like to see. If you want to see inside your farm then you will "need" lit floors. All other forms of light interfere with spawn.

      @@DakonsMadhouse So that's why the mini-farm I created spawned 1 caveling per hour (or at least felt like 1 caveling per hour) Thanks!

    why did you not make rows of 11 tiles stove moss in this farm like in the other one

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад +1

      so for this one I want to encourage brutes to spawn and they require a lot more than 11 to get to 90% spawn chance. So in this instance the more tiles the better.

    the generator keep getting destroyed. it isnt working for me. even i expand the gaps from 2 to 3 wide. please help me out. i love your mob farm

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад +1

      if you made my level 1 stone moss farm the generators should be able to be hidden behind walls. If you're referring to the level 2 stone moss farm then I recommend replacing the galaxite turrets in the middle areas with stone ones. the stone turrets don't need generators.
      There is also a mod on r2modman that lets you make generators and turrets indestructible.

    I assume that you are gonna let your other farm collect the infected caveling loot, cause i don't see any way to collect it in this farm

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад

      correct. This farm doesn't collect anything from the infected. I get infected loot from the main farm. The infected here are only for purposes of killing the other mobs.

    • @DakonsMadhouse
      @DakonsMadhouse  Год назад

      did you put up the shield between the infected cavelings and the robot arms? With the shield in place nothing should be attacking them. If they're still hitting it from around the edges of the shield, add more walls to make the shield longer.
