I had an Etsy shop from 2008 until 2017. My shop was doing well, but I went through a life change and was no longer able to keep up with the shop so I closed the shop. Now I am considering restarting my shop. I am sure a lot has changed since I left so I am watching videos to see what others are up to.
Why is this such perfect timing?? 😳 I was just researching more about this because I think I’m going to start an Etsy shop soon for art and such :)

I’m literally 9 months late but if you’re under 18 I’m pretty sure you can’t have an independent shop, your parents have to kinda be in charge of it. Idk how taxes work though
Bc you are a minor, your parent(s) will have to be the "owner of the account. You won't have to pay taxes unless you make at least 2,000 dollars (this may vary depending on your state) a month. Hope this helps!
Hello Love!! Enjoyed the video a ton. Have one question, when you say if you go over 12,500$ you have to pay taxes does that mean in the months total sales or in all the sales overall. Wondering because I am 13 and am going to start my own etsy shop soon.

Way to make money off Etsy is to post the item on their site and when someone buys it you order a tracking number off the internet but never take the item to the post office and mail it. This is what a seller did to me,
and most people do not have the time or energy to fight it and just write it off. I am not really suggesting anyone do this, just trying to warn the public there are scammers on Etsy and they do not seem to care!
