Ingredients
(6 inches cake tin)
(A)
1. 3 Egg yolks
2. 25g ( 2 tbsps ) Caster sugar
3. 35g ( 3 tbsp ) Vegetable oil
4. 40g ( 3 tbsp full ) Milk
5. 1/2 tsp Vanilla
6. 50g ( 1/3 cup ) Cake flour
7. 1/4 tsp Baking powder
8. 10g ( 1 + 1/2 tbsp full ) Cocoa powder
9. A pinch of salt
(B)
1. 3 Egg whites
2. 50g ( 4 tbsps ) Caster sugar
Water bake in a preheated 150°C ~ 170°C oven for 15 minutes.
Then reduce temperature to 125°C ~ 145°C continue for another 35 minutes. Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. Adjust accordingly. Хобби

a very simple recipe
I've a small simple electric oven, with uper and lower elements. with max 230 C of temp.
When you say, to use lower elements for baking, my cake burns from below and remains white on the top. While your cake is white at the base and red at the top.
Do you have any combination of uper and lower at different timing, or what?

Hi Ursula, yes, the tricky part is in the meringue beating, slowly n patiently beat the egg white till they are very fine n silky in the "hook" condition...Happy baking n gave a good successful try😊😊😊.
