- Today, on Workshop Edits, I'm building an 78" x 35" Farmhouse Table with a matching bench. The table was designed to seat 6+ people and has a "common area in the middle for family dinners". There are endless ways to build one of these - this is just one "minimalist / modern" approach we took in our design - hope you like!

Thanks,

Very nice. You gave me some ideas for my next one
Harbor Freight clamps make an appearance in another maker's video. I love seeing the common man's clamps...as I like to call them. Great looking table by the way!
Thanks! Half of my clamps are the 18" F clamps from HF - can't beat $4 a pop and it saves money long term for bigger purchases
Thank you so much, Zach!
Can’t wait to see it in the space!
That's gorgeous, Zach. I love it.
thank you!
Reminds me so much of the table we had when I was a child and all the gatherings around it. Nice how a table can evoke memories :)
That's great - I'm honestly a little ticked I have to give it away - I want it for myself!
Thanks for the plans!!!!
my pleasure!
Awesome build! Looks great man.
Thanks!
Very nice looking table & bench. Well done.
Be sure to post an update after the finish is on and the table is in place.
Definitely will on my IG when the time comes!
Nice! I love hardwood projects!
Thanks for watching!

Great looking table. Hope you post a picture or two when it's stained and finished.
I will!
Nice looking table Zach and I am sure your family will get many years fine service out of it. I noticed you seemed to screw the top down tight. Are you not worried about wood movement? God Bless my friend.
thanks - I'm not worried about it moving any more than other parts of the table - personally for us California doesn't see huge temperature swings, it's indoors, the wood is already quite dry and acclimated. If we find its an issue I think drilling oversized holes would be a good solution. cheers!
Just a friendly note, when you go to finish it, start with the under side 1st. With this design of yours, your top will warp up if you finish topside before undercoating it.
@@teaguewhite26 Thanks for the tip!
I made a table and a bench for someone and after seeing your video I feel ashamed... amazing build...thanks for sharing
naw - never be ashamed of building your own projects! thanks for watching!
Great project and video!
I noticed that at around 2:40 you use an awkward crossed hands position while using your miter saw. You should probably avoid doing that - that's asking for trouble.
Keep up the good and SAFE work!
Why is that any more unsafe than the other way?
@@workshop_edits your arm is much more prone to crossing paths with the saw that way.
Does this wobble at all?
No - why would it
@@workshop_edits where would one find the cut list, plans for this?
What are the dimensions?
Why does nobody read the descriptions…
Nice build.. dude .never!!!! cross your arms on the Mitre saw...even if you have to clamp every piece...very dangerous...
Thanks 👌🏽

I have no idea what this means.
