Same LOL just started like 4 days ago and pretty far TBH and got lucky AF with the builds like all but 1 build ship from the event and Kron was in my first 5 builds
I personally use the gun on her and use a seattle gun for her secondary or just something else cause chappy gun reload is pretty oof. It also fixes that she needs to use a NP piece of equipment requirement for her blue skill .
It was the first thing I bought without knowing the deal, I was like " oh. . .it's only for CB. . . .oh I'll just put it on Agir, nice " insta win, no brainer, considering I don't have the other two anyway
Question for Kron / Azuma: Both of them are Medium armor and I´ve heared that for Azuma the VH-Armor Plating is a BIS item as it changes the armor type to heavy to make her more tanky. Is this still the case for Azuma and does it also apply to Kron?
VH armor is not blindly BIS, it heavily depends on the fleet you're fighting. Torps deal more damage on heavy armor compare to medium, but regular shelling does much lesser damage. However, since Kron has the all damage reduction buff, u might be able to get away with it and use VH armor
Are there any good purple placeholders for CB guns tho? Those 3 are kinda hard to get for me right now. I can only hope I get it through research.
Hey Kimo, I just wanted to ask a question about your setup for kronshtadt.I noticed you use the standard fumo radar like on agir, whereas I use the gridman collab dynamic cannon instead. Why do you think it is better to use the fumo over the dynamic cannon? Should I spend my core data to buy a fumo for her instead? Also your videos are great man keep up the great content!
I was using both before, I just swapped off to washing machine because I was doing D3 at a low level and never replaced it.

Kronk' gun have lesser range than it is shown in any tables. Is it really better than SK C this way?
Kimo, is there any hidden gimmicks or probably a bug with Kron's 3rd skill? Because Kron won't die during healing 10s period, it didn't give Kron immunity and still get damaged, but Kron won't die during that period.
No clue, I haven't really had a period where my Kron was low HP so I can't confirm anything on that.

@@Kimocheese I found out about this after using her on SP level and she survived 2 medium fleets battles and died on the 3rd battle. With 0 HP. The third battle is Heavy Fleet.
tested in EX mode and she just exploded the moment her hp went under 10%, same result in pvp. Skill is still lvl 1 but she didn't even survive 1 second, could be a lvl 10 bug though

Kimo, since Kron's 2nd skill requires Northern gear, I don't think using chappy gun is needed, her main gun is already nothern. So maybe you can use a better secondary, or chappy gun is already the best for her? I'm a new player
Neptune gun is pretty viable choice for her secondary guns, it pierces and it fires fast.
Seattle gun can be good since it still has highest DPS of any CL gun but it doesn't give +45 FP unlike Neptune gun or Chapayev gun.
It's really the stats acquired from the CL guns are the most important here since it will also boost her main gun and ghost gun DPS. +45 FP is already a +15% FP boost to Kronk.
The Triple 152 NP gun is very similar to the Prototype Triple 152 MK 17 (i think it’s the Seattle gun?). So if you have your hands on one, use that. But the NP is the 2nd best CL gun on normal light cruisers too. Like say Noshiro should use the MK 17, but she can use the NP 152 just as well if you dont have the aforementioned gun. So ye same applies to Kron. I personally have only 3-4 of the Seattle guns and all are on ships already, so I’ll use the chappy gun on kron even tho she already has her main NP gun.
@@ussnorthcarolinabb-5517 the extra % for 2ndary is achieved from ANY equipment.. main gun being NP will give extra secondary %
@@MSgtRazor Yeah ik that, what Im saying is Chappy gun is probably better choice compared to Seattle gun since Chappy gun gives +45 FP and it also has pretty close DPS to Seattle Gun. Neptune gun is also a good choice because it has fast fire rate, it pierces, and it has +45 FP also. Seattle gun is alright choice too but it only gives +30 FP. The FP stat is very important because it affects pretty much every gun of hers, and every barrage she fires.
Welp... so let put it like this:
Seattle gun:
- Higher dps
- Faster reload, which mean more 2nd barrage spam (the one that fire every 4 secondary shot)(around 1s faster barrage btw)
- Smaller spread so more accurate
Chappy gun:
- More FP (which mean stronger main gun, stronger ghost gun, stronger barrage)
- It's NP gun so it active the buff regardless of your main gun choice
- The slot efficiency is not that high anyway, you can get away with using a bit weaker gun
That new IJN gun in lab:
- same FP as Chappy gun
- more dps against light armor than other options, for med and heavy it's stronger than Chappy gun but weaker than Seattle gun
- actually the slowest of the three
So yea, I will say it depend on whether you value secondary slot dps or everything else. Using Chappy gun in weak slot to boost FP for ship with a lot of barrage is not a new thing, I mean

the wiki says it’s ABP ammo, how is it different to normal AP?
ABP has slightly different damage modifiers 70 / 115 / 80 as opposed to AP's 75/ 110 / 75, APB shells also travel faster and have a slightly larger AOE on their splash damage.

Well, Krongun's APB have bigger splash range than Agirgun's AP* (bigger AOE basically)(10x10 vs 8x8) so there's that too

You obviously use the 305mm Mk-15 for Kronshtadt's skill proc so you're not scuffed on her secondary weapon. The Northern Parliament secondary gun is not very good compared to most of its contemporaries. It's hardly a noticable difference between that and the 305mm SK C/39 anyway, so the value for the 305mm Mk-15 is very high on Kronshtadt, though not for any of the other large cruisers. Which is fine, IMO. It's kinda obvious the devs designed it like that in the first place.
