For IJN main Houshou boost cv/cvl exp by 15%.

Mommy Houshou is useful.
Exactly i used Akagi on center + kaga and houshou, just level up the skill for akagi and kaga for faster fights, front Yukikaze.
Tip: Bring senchou, Houshou Marine~
Its a godsend that the new iron blood event had more main fleet ships since before you only had 6 ships to grind for her and 5 were event only

I have full limit broken and retrofit koln, kornisberg and karlsrhue thanks to roon
Koln may become very useful, of we get a submarine orientated chapter map, but until then she's just auxiliary

You can also use Operation Siren for it as well. Its slower but if you are on safe mode and just dropping APs - it works. Thats how I grinded Minz just took Roon,Z23 and Prinz Hindrich - its 0 oil cost (never coverd oil to AP , its a rip off). After that go back to 7-2 and grind with the cheepest ships you can get. I always use Commans (LBO) if available.
Here is my cheap list (all Limit break 0 at lvl 70)
1. US:
- vanangaurd Cassin , Donws, Sims (2 zombies + damage buffer = 4 oil) and put something cheap at the back a monitor or Nevada/Oclahoma (but swap them at lvl 35)
- main fleet : Ranger , Langly , Bouge or Wasp/Long Island/Casablanka or Nevada/Oklahoma +Ranger (but this is more expensive- with Cassin and Downs infront.
2. UK
- vanagaurd - Amazon +Coment/Crescent/Foxhound/Cygnet/Bulldog (take a pick) with a monitor
- backline - when I unlocked Monarch it used to want BB and BC exp but they changed PR1 to be main fleet and vanguard (with no ship type restriction), which will allow you to use the 3 monitors
Terror , Erabus, Abercrombie + cassin and downs (total of 14 oil per run). Hermes is also good - only 3 oil.
3. JAP
Here you are acually spoiled for choises
-vangaurd - Shiranui, Mutsuki, Minazuki, Hatakaze (she is rare but only cost 1 oil on LB0) , if you want use can use cruisers as well the CL cost 2 oil while CAs 3
for CLs - Nagara, Abukuma, Sendai, Isuzu and for CA - Furutaka, Kako, Aoba, Kingusa. The best option is combo (2 DDs with CL).
- main fleet - Ise, Hyuuga , Fuso (Fuso is 1 oil cheaper then Yamashiro). You can also use the Kongo sisters (whichever you have) , also you have the option for Houshou (she has the CV XP buff like Langly) with 2 CVLs (Shouhou, Hiyou, Junyou , Ryuujou, Chitose, Chioda - but 1/2 of those are drop only , the others event). Akashi also works but she is very slow to lvl.
4. GER
I would suggest to just use whaever ship you need to lvl because there arent many choises (most ships a event locked).
For vangaurd at least you have cheap choise - the 3 Konigsberg class CLs or if you played the Norway invasion event Z20 and Z21 or Z18 and Z19 (same cost but the 3 CLs would be faster).
For the main just use what you have or what you want to lvl. The cheaper option are Scharnhorst, Gnize and Weser but if you are grinding Bismark, Tirptiz ,Graf and Peter (just grind them).

What I can say for any *KMS PR*,specially for *Friedrich der Große und Odin*, and you don’t have any event Main fleets you can try different strategies: *Farm Hard missions* and get 1200 cores for *Scharnhorst* and also you can enter the war archives and try upe luck unlocking any main KMS or try your cubes and coins in the gacha Pool for *Bismarck, Tirpitz, Graf Zepelín, Zeppy, Peter Strasser, Weser* on any event rate up and good luck.
Thanks for the trick it really help me a lot, especially I'm a beginner I just played 2 week ago and I manage to unlock Roon recently and now going for Monarch.
I just watched this guide when I'm about 25% of the exp away from finishing my first PR ship (but can use these tips for when I work on my 2nd PR ship)
And after grinding the exp, you will need 500 blueprints for each one. Sadistic.

For Roon I used Prinz eugen, z28 and graf spee
For everyone who doesn't have Amazon (dd buff), you can get her in light builds (time is 9 minutes), chapter 4 (4), 5 (1,4), 6 (2), 9 (3), and 10 (1). You can get Houshou (cvl boost) in chapter 7 (4). You can get Langley from chapter 3 and onward (all nodes, in chapter 3 only 2, 3, 4). You can get Yuubari by doing light construction (time is 1 hr 12 min.) I would recommend both the ships for grinding. Both their buffs contribute to the entire class, but it is best if you use them for their specific faction (Amazon royal navy, Houshou IJN, Yuubari IJN, Langley USS)
Idk, I haven't rushed to unlock any of the PR ships until I know I have the prints to bring them up to at least dev lvl 25. When you consider the oil cost and other ships, they dont seem worth to me outside of challenge mode, EX, and OS
It's just a glorified achievement, don't need them for crazy content either.

I use a different method, I choose the ship I wanna work on, in this case was Sirius, then I started researching Drake. I've been doing that with PR1, is slower, but you don't even feel the pain for grinding.

Hey Chesse, ik this ain't Azur Lane related. even thou i love the game....but i can't help notice your cursor. how did u get it stay like that, cuz i have Luigi as mines but every time i shut down and turn on my lap it goes away and i have to put it back on over and over again.
I don't do anything special, I use MuMu for emulator as well.

Hey, may I ask, for Champagne, you said to pick Langley, and you don't have DD's brought up. I just want to check: is this intentional? Or are DD's okay to use? I have some I still want to level
Because Langley boost exp for CV/CVL and not DDs which is why she's good for grinding Champagne.

Vanguards only so yes DD/CL/CA/CB all apply.

I'm grinding for FDG right now and the oil is just taking major hits, I'm doing 8-4 with 3:1 set up. Bismark, Tirpitz, Graf are main and Phoenix as vanguard, should I just switch to a 1:2 with 0lb zombies?
That's up to you decide and what you want to focus on and what your priorities on for resource/time etc.

Saint Louis is an American cruiser named after St. Louis, Missouri. Why does everyone keep referring to it as being french?
Unless you're joking, the PR Louis is based on the WoW collaboration, and we do have the USS St. Louis in game as an Elite ship (I know she's buildable and drops in some lategame maps). Anyway, I don't know the full details, but iirc PR Saint Louis is based on the designs of a french ship class that never made it very far, so much that even the name is a creative liberty, going after an old french king.
In game, the main differentiation aside from their obvious visuals, factions and rarity, is that the USS is named 'St. Louis', with the 'saint' abbreviated, while the PR is fully referred to as 'Saint Louis'

they need to add more than one Italian and Russian ship to the normal build pool first so new players can at least try to unlock em.
@@TheAckwardNinja Problally August von Parseval, the first PR Carrier and Hakuryuu, a DR carrier, which is a T10 carrier. They need to add T10 ships like Shikishima, Großer Kurfürst, Stalingrad, Hindenburg and Manfred von Richthofen.

How is 8-4 best 1:1 efficiency? I dont see much of an xp difference from 7-2
7-2 is 3 mobs and leave, 8-4 is 4 mobs and then boss. Boss gives way more exp than mob nodes. Both maps you're doing 1:1 anyways unless you're going 1 step beyond and do 0lb vanguards and in that case 8-4 will still lead because you're gaining exp for both positions.

Yeah PR ships are unlockables that take a very long time to grind, and most are among the best in their class. But here's the thing - a lot of them are weak/average until they reach their full potential, which requires a lot of blueprints that you get from doing timed research missions. So it could be months before a PR ship becomes as strong as advertised.

If she's the only one you can develop, you might as well get started because PR grind takes a long time. She's a strong heavy cruiser, but as both a heavy cruiser and a PR she's definitely not going to be great until she starts getting close to level 100 and dev level 20 (you increase dev level by using blueprints on her after she's unlocked). Remember, the most common tier lists for Azur Lane assume that the PR ship is level 120 and dev level 30.

This is just my opinion but you should stick with what you got right now. In the short run it is better to have a few gods rather than a lot of semi-elites. Eventually once you start getting to higher levels, you could even put Takao/Prinz in a different fleet as the main tank.
