    An offhand comment/suggestion: Generally, I think of public transportation in tiers Trains/Planes/Ships >> Subways >> Trams >> Busses >> (and I suppose) Taxis.
    I think what would work best with the passenger train infrastructure you already have in place would be to consolidate all 3 of your lines into 1 that goes from one neighboring city through your network and out to the 2nd neighboring city and back. This would likely cut down on the number of trains you would require in total for passenger trains and increase the usage overall.
    Then add a subway network that fills in gaps and connects to the train network in at least 1 location maybe even consider multiple subway lines that act as spokes to your train network hub. You might also consider creating additional spokes of tram and/or bus lines that fan out from your train and/or subway stations.
    Always appreciate your content, thank you and keep up the great work.

    You need to add another train station on the city's north side so that the line becomes a loop. Then, check if the bus routes add more passengers to the trains instead of competing with them (it's kinda sad having trains with less than 100 passengers). Also, aside from Summitt Hill, Washington Station should have a subway station since it's in the center of the city, and maybe Lake East since it's close to your industrial zone and for future developments. Lastly, once the city's large enough, you should consider separating the cargo from the passenger lines. But for now, having them share tracks is still viable.
    Thanks for the great episode! Can't wait to watch the next one and how you'll deal with the new patch.

      Fantastic suggestions! I wasn’t planning on adding another train station to Grove Crest but you’re the second person to recommend it. I’m so nervous to see if we can balance the budget once the patch really takes effect. We will see!

    3:06 You should mostly not build your industrial areas near where the residents live,instead you should put commercial in front of the industrial area as the people wont complain much.3:22 in the next episode you should expand the city and build more suburbs,but you would need a good amount of jobs, and parks.4:40 i suggest naming one of the train stations Ascot railway station,Its a real station in the UK. You could make a new suburb in Linden Crest so that its surrounds the Downtown area,I think you should if you want add commercial first are make it a mix or put residential and commercial.
    Also i think you should add another train station on the city's north side,I think that can solve your problem
    these are just suggestions you don't have to add them and sorry if its a lot😅

    Wheatyyyy! It was a treat to watch so many videos in a week! I suggest you have three lines coming out of washington manor station. One going left, one right and one straight on parallel to the cargo line. Also, do we get a central station like how we did in cs1?

      @WheatyWaffle  3 месяца назад

      I havent seen a central station yet, but they just dropped some new train stations in the latest update and they look fantastic!

    Hi ...
    I've drawn my ideas for the bus network into the transit map you uploaded on the community tab ... and sent that as a twitter DM. This plan would mean more coverage, better transfers between bus lines an better access to train stations which should 53:36 improve the ridership of your R3 train. I created the plan before watching this episode but luckily to terminus stops of two of my bus lines correspond quite well with your two new train stations. The subway route you describe around 53:00 would not be a rival to my bus lines or the R3 train.
    Speaking of rivals to the R3 train. Maybe you just have the R1 and R2 trains as shuttles between the outside connection and a Central Station that could be Washington Heights; due to density and the planned metro connection Summit Hill would be a secondary candidate, but only if future growth happens predominantly in the West, giving S.H. a more central location. R3 might also be named C3 or C1 to clearly distinguish between regional and city trains.

    Train track connections are best done with complex curve at train stations

    When garbage moves and industry, would you consider another train station on that side of city, or just do subways. It turned out sooooo good

    Out of curiosity, why demolish all of Magnolia Street for the train station instead of using landscaping to add the necessary land into the river to place the station?

    • @WheatyWaffle
      @WheatyWaffle  3 месяца назад +1

      The river isn’t wide enough, I think if i reclaimed the land I would have ended up connecting the island to the main land
