Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning.

Hey Carl, what caused your bowl to be out of round? I’m having some of those slight issues as well and I’m wondering if it is the machine or maybe the jaws on my chuck or the gears in it are wearing out. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Curt, The peace will usually be a little bit out of round whether it's a bowl or a box if you're using a chuck. The Chuck clamps down harder on the soft part of the wood so it's going to make it a little bit out around because of that.
Beautiful! Anyone have a Harvey T60? I'd love a Robust Sweet 16, but I can't justify 10K for a lathe. I'm worry about replacing the motor in the future as it's a Servo Motor.
