Agreed. It deserves airing again in a good scheduled slot. It was on their streaming site for a while, in excellent hd quality but seems unavailable now. Neil Gaiman was a big fan of it and tried to have it released on BLU ray a while back.
I've got it on VCR along with some other stuff recorded at the time..I need to spend a couple of months just going through it all.... One of the most creative historical documentaries made..it should have been shown every Christmas since...couldn't agree more what a sad sad waste.
Damn I loved this back then, still do. Thank god I recorded it at the time. I just wished that they did something similar for the opening theme to Neverwhere.
"Listen on Spotify": no it isn't there. And Malcolm McLaren's been dead for a number of years so whose decision was it to remove it? Or more likely it was never there because of Spotify's "obsession" with albums and not including singles that aren't on one, which presumably this wasn't. The link takes me to "Waltz Darling" but this track was not on that album.
For some unknown reason YT has removed old comments from videos. I know this video had a lot more comments than are shown now. I have no idea why but ours is not to reason why as plebs.
Alison Limerick had one hell of a voice this was my intro to her at the time.
This needs to be on again. One of the best things ever on TV

@@holcroft1969Wow thanks SO much. I LOVE this so much. Had no idea it was available! You’ve made my day💚💚💚
Absolutely!
What a throwback
What a tune!! Very strange indeed but I just luv this so much❤
Nice 🙂🙂🙂
Amazing that Malcolm turned out to be the most diverse artist coming out of the Pistols
He did indeed. And John Lydon turned out to be a pro Brexit property developer living in LA. Hindsight is a strange thing.

This needs to be shown again. I still hold my video recording but don’t have equipment to show it on 😭
30 years old now, wow. I remember finding this on at Christmas 1991 and wondering WTAF it was all about. Loved this tune though, and Silent Night
Alison Limerick, a fine singer in every sense.
Why can't Channel 4 show this again ? Only ever shown once in 1991 ?! What a waste .

wasn't part of this tune used during a Nike advert in the early 90s, I seem to remember a pole vaulter?
