Haha I went into a lake in winter. It was exhilarating. 🎉 we had a rainy day at vestrahorn. Can’t wait to go back again. That coastline to the east fjords was amazing. Loved all the Iceland treats around the bonus and random gas stations. We got to the top of sedifjorder and it was fog and snow so we turned around. We did both falls and stopped close to hengifoss. That was all uphill. We got stuck in myvatn in a blizzard. Literally whiteout conditions.
I couldn’t agree with you more on the ocean statement statement! Nothing compares to the ocean, waves, sand and sunshine! Keep up the great work with your content. Amazing adventures!
What a beautiful place! The only country I'm really excited to visit when I grow up. Would love it if you visit Iceland again later and see some of the unpopular places that not everybody talks about.
I know you had to work for it, but today's vlog had an epic-ness to it. Those columnar rock formations are over the top unique to me. Thanks very much for doing the work! :) And, as always, thanks for sharing!
We never get tired of waterfalls, beaches or anywhere near water! 👍 Honey Nut Cheerios? 🤔 Everyone knows the Maple 🍁flavored Cheerios rule!!! 😎 Glaciers! 👍 (great photography combining the drone and land shore shots... one of your best efforts to date)..! Vestrahorn! 👍 Studlagil Canyon! 👍 Totally agree... and worth the two hour side trek... HAD TO SEE THE PUFFINS! 🐦 No trip is complete without a few "Lovey-Dovey" shots... I have learned simply to accept it! 😂 Our Overall Impression? Iceland has great unique landscapes and visuals.... Is it worth enduring the cold and windy weather? 🤔 Only if you can ski in it! ⛷😂 NICE JOB....
Woah I never had the maple cheerios! I wish I droned more of Iceland but they’re starting to put up no drone signs since Iceland’s getting so popular now, which is ironic since you could argue Instagram helped the insane tourism boom in Iceland. Double edge sword I guess! The puffins are so neat haha we’re fascinated by them! I think shoulder season is the move for an Iceland trip, reduced crowds tolerable weather and still plenty of day light Thanks for watching and the comment Lee!
@@MathersOnTheMap Not at this point in time. Norway is a bucket list place that we're starting to plan though. In the meantime we've been just enjoying hitting the virtual road together with you guys. Keep it up!
The reason the top bends is. When the lava flows out of the ground it hit surface water. That lava cools at a different rate causing the bending of the basalt columns.
hey loved your video, I will be in Iceland this weekend from NY, wonder how much was the van rental? the lodgings are so expensive so I was considering maybe it would be cheaper renting a van and drive around. How easy to find spots at the parking to park the van for overnight? thanks, appreciated your reply if u get the chance. Peace Sebastian
Hey Sebastian it ranges on what type of van you have but it’s definitely cheaper than hotels. Campgrounds charge per person not per van so keep that in mind but they’re like $15-20 a night. I think our van was $1600 for 11 days? That was in April/May though not peak season
I really don't see any reason I'd want to go to Iceland. I had friends go to Iceland first of the year. They came back with Covid. They nearly died. It took them 6 weeks to fully get well.

We hope too one day! There’s so much to see there! We also need to go back to Lofoten to get better weather

Hey guys, I work in Paterson. Come to PTown to visit the Great falls!! Let me know when you come!
Wow I never knew that existed John!
@@MathersOnTheMap Yea it’s pretty nice. But it is Paterson 😳

Thanks Enrico, this means a lot! Hoping 100k soon that be amazing! Our growth/reach has come to a screaming halt for bit now 👎...gotta keep pluggin!

Yea we read about that later when we had service!!! How cool!! 😀
FYI… on buying maple cheerios!
Wegman’s has them… not sure if there is a store in your area…
Always order online…
Haha interesting we’ll have to give it a try!
One of the best places in the world to see icebergs and puffins is Newfoundland in the spring.
I believe that! Would love to visit there
You two should really do The Amazing Race! I think you would win it!
Aww thank you Maria!!! That would be so fun!
Love these adventures in Iceland!! Did that camper van have a diesel heater like yours?
Thank you! Yes, it did! Haha, an absolute must!

Nope! 2WD
Hi, what time of the year did you travel? I guess it s spring?
Hey Chalida, we were there in the beginning of May!
forgot to ask, what month of the year did u visit Iceland?
April/May
We are going in august, what type of shoes do you recommend?
Hey! Enjoy your trip! We pretty much wore flip flops (at the campsites), rain boots, and sneakers the whole time!
@@MathersOnTheMap I was wondering if I need to invest in a hiking shoes
Hi which month was this in ??
Late April early May

Sorry to hear about your friends Gerry, glad to hear they recovered!
Yeah just imagine, if they had gone to any other country, they would have never gotten Covid
