Big fan of the lance applied, pressure wash off ceramic sealants like Yum Foam+. To use on an already coated car to top up the protection. Just a domestic user, so the speed and simplicity of this method is what really appeals. I currently use Mile Deep Shield, but was thinking of trying Yum Foam+ next. Also heard good things about Sam’s Detailing Ceramic Foam and Duel Flex Polymer Sealant. I’ve seen you use some of these products a few times, please continue to try them out and update us on your findings.
@@AutoCareHQ So I missed a good few tar spots….😖can I use tar spot remover on top of the yum foam or will I have to do a decon wash first……Also, I would LOVE to see you tackle a Transporter camper or Kombi sometime….do you have any customers with one? Cheers 👋
all hail the detail queen, if you’re too humble to be the queen, you’re definitely detailing royalty lol✌🏽🐿️💨…have you ever used or considered using wheel covers while you wash the rest of the vehicle. the absolute joy of washing, rinsing, drying the wheels then covering them and not having to touch them again while you detail the rest of the vehicle is amazing. (it is better to apply tire shine after you’ve uncovered them) but i love using them although al lot of american vehicles have enormous tires so i don’t get to use them every time 😪
What a beautiful out come,it looks brand new, outstanding piece of work. I bet doing a job like that is a good work out. Saves on rip off gym fees. Very well done.
The vehicle looked great! I really admire your work. I thought I had an easy day today detailing a motorcycle. Nope! I am very tired right now. In some ways motorcycles are harder than cars. Good video Heather.
Autoglanz Rebound is the only thing I use now for tyres. As you said, it's less cost effective than diluted APC, but it's so much better. Lovely job on the Merc though Heather. I really need to invest in some of that Yum cars foam+ sealant. Looks really handy!
Hi Heather I was out this morning doing the Jag as it is to rain for 10 days so I guess no car washing to be done for a while. My Karcher K5 has been playing up so today I took it down to the local Karcher repair outlet which is about 10 mins from our house. Two days & £49.50 I have been assured so a lot cheaper than a new one. Autoglanz is a range of products I have not tried but anyone who does use them seems to speak highly of them. I have been using Auto Finesse's snow foam ceramic sealant on a neighbours car that I detail to good effect but it's hopefully getting back into waxing weather soon. I did get the latest M & K luxury wax onto one of our cars last week and it turned out exceedingly well and the water beading is exceptional. As usual with your tutorials the Mercedes turned out very well as well.
the finished result looked great Heather. Not yet used any Autoglanz products but will add some to my collection. Tempted to get one of those Blo car dryers too.
What a beautiful job. Sadly here in Norway it difficult to deepclean your cars in the winter, because of the low temperatures. However - spring is just around the corner 😃
Great work Heather. It was minging when you started but you and your knowledge made it sparkle. Hope to do a full decon and polish on mine by the end of the month. Can you recommend a good clay mit for me please . All the best for the channel.
Thank you! If you’re after a clay mitt I’d go for the rag company one. But if you don’t mind using a clay block then the Carbon Collective one is really good!
Excellent job mate. I’ve been waiting for you to use the Yum foam plus but as it’s a bit pricey I wanted to see how it fared in one of your vids as your reviews seem a bit more balanced than many. Good morning Heather 👋 another top draw detail to a "properly dirty winter" car. Entirely coincidentally, I've just purchased to try out Yums foam + ........if Wednesday's weather is dry, Im giving it a go on my car. Looks impressive I must say 👍
@AutoCareHQ I'll report back on your next video Heather......in the meantime, have a great week ahead ( and no more rain please, dear rain God's! for Northumberland, please! 🙏) 🙂
Hello Heather. Thank you for this video. Your every post is knowledgeable and contains gems of new information for me. Unlike other detailers' RUclips sites, your site offers honest evaluations of products and demonstrations of proper methods one should use along with explanations. Consequently, I have a question that I hope you can answer for me. As I have mentioned in a previous comment, I recently purchased an Audi Q3. (I mention this because it is my understanding that this company uses a hard clear coat which may affect you answer to my question). The paintwork is quite good and does not need extensive correction although there are some very small swirls present. Granted, a full polish would take care of this but since I want to be as gentle on the clear coat as possible as well as wanting efficiency in both time and economy, do you think that a polishing foam pad (eg Rupes yellow pad) used in combination with a cream sealant would do the job. My thinking is that the slightly abrasive quality of the pad itself might be enough to remove small swirls. What do you think? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much for watching, I really appreciate the kind words. To be honest I wouldn't stress too much with a Q3. I think you'll need a polish really to get those swirls out by the sound of it but you can still go with a mild combo. Something like Koch Chemie Ultra Cut (and their purple pad) would probably work if they're very fine but you could always step up to Koch Chemie Fine Cut (and either an orange or purple pad depending on how aggressive you want to be) if they're a bit deeper
Heather, thank you so much for your advice (and, I might add, for such a speedy response to my question). I'll check out the products you recommended and give it a whirl when the weather gets a little warmer.
Hello Heather, another great job. Washing a car by 4°C .... , gla gla gla, better you then me 😅. The sprayable sealant loks gret and easy to use. I'll keep it on my mind. Still appreciate watching youtaking car on the cars. Cheers from France, Chriss
Thank you! I just dried it off for the tar remover so it wasn’t diluted by water on the panel but I sprayed the panels again with water before the sealant, sorry I should’ve mentioned that!
Hi Heather, Another fantastic video. The difference after you've finished is amazing. Just one thing, if you're going to make a habit of cleaning large SUVs you need either a tall assistant, or a step. I'd go for the latter, it's easier to control and cheaper.😂😂😂
Have you ever used a platform to stand on when washing your cars? I ask because sometimes on the larger ones such as this one, the roof tends to get let's say missed out. I'm sure a lot of people have that problem as well, it could be useful to show how much easier it would make it, even I have had a bit of a stretch reaching all the roof of the car on some I have owned.
Great video as always! One thing I am wondering about though, is whether the spray on sealants cause issues with then the dressings on the tyres / plastic? I am wondering if they reduce the life slightly as they kind of seal the plastic, which would then stop the dressing from sinking in so easily?
Thanks! I get what you mean, they do add some protection so could affect the durability a little but honestly in real world scenarios I’ve not noticed a difference
Hi Heather, great video. I see you are using the pyramid foam lance how does that compare to your MJJC V2 foam lance. I like the transparent wide mouth bottle on the pyramid lance and it has 5 different settings as well. Thanks Nick

It doesn't drain the bottle as quickly as the MJJC so it looks like the foam is thinner but it's really because it's using less solution. Just means you need to put a slightly higher concentration of snow foam in the bottle but you don't need to refill it as often
