I'm definitely going to be watching for the updates on the ceramic coating, especially as you applied it outdoors in good conditions. Looks like another great product for mitsi for sure considering I don't have anywhere except outside to apply a coating. 👍🏼

Nah the normal size will be absolutely fine for that. Think I only used about 10ml on the paintwork of this

That colour on a Mazda always comes up a treat in your hands but I guess you get to know Mazda paint owning one yourself. I look forward to your review of that DA Polisher in case I do decide to try again with polishing I guess I could try out on my sons 10 year old Fiesta. I hope you are taking a good long holiday somewhere hot for your break.

Thank you! If I wasn’t filming it it would be a full day on this size vehicle so roughly about 10 hours
We have standard clay blocks, clay mitts, clay towels….now clay pads…phew😳 Will have to investigate those! Many detailers refer to clay-related marring, but no-one ever shows it. Can you describe what it looks like?

Hello Caretakeres. Considering that a sheet of writing paper has about 100µm, a coating thickness of less than 60µm is simply not very thick. This is in line with information from a car painting YT channel that I often consume. A little too much saving for my taste. Nevertheless, great work, as always!

how do you clean pad and also how often
Wow what a shift that is you've done there 👌 my car is in bad need of a polish it has scratches and swirls all over it, it is 10 years old though and I dont have the time to even think about that, would a wax applied by hand help this in any way at all ?
Thank you! A wax will fill in some of the light swirls but if you're looking for a slight step up then you could try something like Stjarnagloss Skara (all-in-one polish) or Stjarnagloss Glasyr (a glaze and sealant)

Yes mazdas are not very good with paint. I have customer within 3 years of owning the car with garage kept the roof paint already faded. In the UK you get some great variety of soaps with high alkaline power.
Yeah it’s a shame the paint isn’t great as otherwise I really like Mazda’s cars!

Wow, just 60 micron for a factory paint? one time heavy correction and you are probably done for the life of the car.
got a new ford about a year ago and the paints crap too new cars only get a small lick of paint a big con with a new car , you would think there going out of there way to have cars returned for paint warranty
That paint depth is ridiculous. It must only have one coat of clear over it.

It's crazy how they can paint such a nice multi layer color so thing. Pretty bad for the customer unfortunately. One stone chip will go to bare metal and rust.
Its one of the nicest metallic reds out there is this Mazda red.. really pops out at you in the sunlight

Ain’t a matter of cleaning with new cars more one of adding protection above that which manufactures do. Nobody wants to be buying dealership paint guards.
