So refreshing to see a ‘real world’ interior detail. So many channels appear obsessed with snow foam and machine polishing. Beautifully presented and informative as always. You are the Tina Turner of the detailing world, ‘Simply the best’ 😊
Haha love it cheers John 😂 I really like working on cars like this tbf, even though interiors aren’t my favourite, I think the owners always appreciate it a bit more
I wash my car and clean the interior every week. I bought one of these Vax cleaners a couple of years ago to clean the stair carpet in my house but then I thought I’d try it out on my “clean” car’s interior. I was amazed and shocked at the dirt that came out of the carpets and seats despite the fact that I keep my car clean. Well worth the investment in buying one of these as they do a great job.
When i first was learning it became apparent i was being way too stingy with the amount of solution I'd use being scared it wouldn't dry our for days. If anyone is doing it for the first time, this is a great video to reference and don't be afraid to hurl it on! I also start top down so all seat backs first then you don't get drips and spot on the seats themselves if you do it the other way around. This vax model didn't exist when i was looking to buy they only had the little one with the tiny tank which would have driven me mad. I like the self clean function on this one which my Biselle Spotclean Pro doesn't have and the head attachment bit looks much more solid. I broken mine (plastic inside cracked when i pushed down on it, over time). Now nothing connects and it was a 4 week wait for a new part (you have to buy the whole tube as well). It happened mid-job so I had to have something that day so i had to get what was local and available so bought another one. (its a great vac but hose is a bit short, only criticisms of it) Mine original was two months out of warranty. Then this came out, about three weeks after 'The Snapping'.....dammit!
You have a well thought out process that's meticulous and very precise. Admirable. I am definitely taking on board some of your techniques. Nice work Heather 🎉
I would recommend to use acid textile rinse solution instead clean water. It helps to get rid off cleaner inside textile, makes it softer and fresh, also it kind of odor thing. You are great Heather! Love your job!
Nice transformation on that interior Heather. I only do interiors once a year as not one of my favourite aspects of detailing but we tend to keep our cars pretty clean inside anyway so it's not needed that frequently
Interior is looking top notch now! Thankfully have leather seats (easier to clean ish) Got a Bissell machine other week & works wonders for car interiors & in the home lol :)
It's a far cry from when I began with my big orange Vax 3161 (I think that was the number) which I nicknamed R2-D2. Very good tips, especially with doing it early morning during the winter. Thanks for another excellent video 👏😊
Thanks for watching! I think Vax just recommend to use their cleaner as there’s always some potential for other chemicals to damage the machine and even producing too much foam can be a problem. I’ve sometimes used other chemicals in a spray bottle though to agitate (rather than in the clean tank) and then used the Vax just to flush the fabric through with water afterwards
Hi Heather. I recently bought a Vax Platinum?? machine for the house. It’s got some of that spotwash kit with it, so maybe I’ll do the carpets and boot in the car. I remember hand washing the light tan velour on our Fiat 132 when I was 15. I did it in the February, with a bucket of very hot water and Fiat interior shampoo and a cloth. U know the rest. Car totally steaming up, seats still wet. They soon got dirty looking again!! 🤪🤪🤪
Hi Heather , great video ! I might give it ago on my cars when things warm up here in the UK.... Question, what about if the car has leather seats ? Same process ? Anything you would do different? Thanks
Thank you! I wouldn't use it on leather, I'd just stick to using it on cloth/ carpet surfaces. On leather you're best off with just a leather cleaner and microfibre cloth, you can also use a scrub pad/ leather brush with very light pressure too though if the surface is a bit dirtier
@AutoCareHQ Hi Heather, thanks for the reply! I forgot to ask a question about my scribe yesterday 🙂...for the kranzle 10TS: Most appropriate orifice: 1.2mm would you say? I'd really appreciate your thought on this, thank you! 🙂
I've just bought this machine. It got some McDonalds ketchup out of my car seat fabric lol. Do you take the bristle brush off then and rub the seats down instead? Really like these videos. The cleaning function is awesome on it too! My Ford Focus 2018 carpet seemed absolutely horrendous, any experience with them or advice? Looked more shabby in a small area
Thanks for watching 😊 yeah I just find it easier to agitate and extract when the brush isn’t attached to the head. Some carpets can be a real pain, are you having trouble vacuuming or extracting it?
@@AutoCareHQthe vacuum side of it I’m doing well with but the extraction side, I’m not doing great. However, I found your first video about this product the other day too and I don’t think I was using enough solution / saturation. I did get a McDonald’s ketchup stain out but I didn’t want to oversaturate it and regret. There were patches or spots so left micro fibre cloths on. The car mats came up a treat though 🙏🏼
@@AutoCareHQI think the drivers seat went a bit bobbly too. I can’t remember them being like that though. Which is why when I saw you had took it off, I thought that’s pretty decent. Love the channel by the way.
Hey, you’ll need a good leather cleaner. The best ones I’ve tried are The Leather Repair Company, Geist, Gyeon and Colourlock (mild version), all are great so just get whichever you can find easily. I usually use one of those In2Detailing scrub pads on shiny leather combined with the cleaner and don’t apply any pressure, work it in and then wipe with a microfibre and it should take care of it
Ideally if you’ve got an anti-fungal cleaner that would be best. I try and remove it without agitating too aggressively so the spores don’t get flicked up as much. I’d always try and thoroughly extract it as well
I vacuum and steam clean the upholstery in my car regularly, majority of people wouldn't think it's thst dirty. I can't stand driving a dirty vehicle, especially one that's got a dirty interior - disgusting!
Nice video there Heather ….. demo and explanation very well put together….. absolutely calming …. And that link is great fir that price reduction 👏👏🫵🤩🫡

Is odd H, but I’m convinced my car drives better after I have cleaned the interior🤣. Under-bonnet and door jams are other areas often neglected.
Oh there’s definitely a +5hp on a clean car 😂

Definitely! It’s really surprising how much dirt all the fabrics hold
Taking the brush off is such a good idea!
Great before and after results, I’m sure the car smells fresh now, nicely done Heather 👍😁
Thanks Dave! Definitely a lot fresher now haha

Great tips and thanks for watching! Definitely agree about using a decent amount of solution as well it makes it a lot easier to extract more dirt

Superb as always Heather hope you are keeping well and surviving this cold 🥶 weather atm, kind regards Mark from Billericay 😃
Thanks Mark! Just about haha, I’m not a fan of the cold 😂
Thanks, Heather, brilliant job as always
Cheers Richard!
Wow great result there Heather
Thank you!
Once again another fantastic and informative video Heather
Thanks Mark!
Very therapeutic watching the journey of a dirty neglected interior turning into a brand new refreshed interior. So cathartic 👌👌
Hi Heather, brilliant video, I haven't long bought a wet vac myself,it's a Argos one and does a good job on carpet.
Thanks Steven!

Thanks very much Jamie!
I use Autosmart Brisk or Bio Brisk for bad smells. Works really well.
Very thorough video Heather. A question if I may, can you substitute the upholstery cleaning fluid for say an APC like Bilt Hamber's Surfex HD? Thanks

Nice one Heather 👍 👌 👌👌👌
Thanks Brian!
Great video. If you didn’t want to use the Vax chemical, what automotive/detailing chemical would you recommend ? Thanks 🙏
Thanks Michael 😊 I’ve previously used Koch Chemie Greenstar diluted to 1:20 in my sprayer, not directly in the machine though
Great job Heather iv got the duo one it's amazing bit of kit❤
Thanks Dave! Yeah it’s a very handy bit of kit!

Definitely worth giving the car a proper extraction, I’m gonna use this one in the house as well 😂
you do great work and very informative

Morning Heather, top video review how to guide on real world interior car grime 👏. A few folks, Im sure may be looking at a black friday deal !
Thanks Graham!

I’m using a 1.25mm orifice with my K10
@AutoCareHQ Thanks Heather, I'll go up 0.05 and try that size 🙂. (Currently, I have 1.2mm fitted).
Thanks!
Thanks Jamie!

@@AutoCareHQHi, thanks for the info,i will see if i can track some down from somewhere, and i will let you know how i get on.
Have you ever tried a Tornador cleaning tool?
Nope I’ve not got an air compressor atm
Heather how do you attack the moldy/ mildew in the carpets? I’ve got a steamer but what other products are you using?
Ideally if you’ve got an anti-fungal cleaner that would be best. I try and remove it without agitating too aggressively so the spores don’t get flicked up as much. I’d always try and thoroughly extract it as well
@ ok I’m gonna get a Antifungal Cleaner. Thank you 🤗🤗🤗

Great video as always Heather, very informative, yr editing must take you hrs . Your getting too good x
Cheers Rodney! It does take a while haha but I really enjoy it tbf so I don’t mind it at all

Nice from calufornia
🎉👍👍😊👏
The code MAX doesn’t save you £80…..it saves you £15.
Think this is because there’s also Black Friday deals on atm, otherwise it should take it down from £230 to £150 plus the free solution
