- I lOVE a textured fabric, and I love a free flowing kind of gown, so today that's what we are going to make. I actually found this fabric at Joann, and couldn't resist! I created this pattern ( which will be the pattern of the month next month on my Patreon, and will be in sizes 00-32)
I teamed up with Cricut who sponsored this post, and made this stunning backdrop, and drove it all the way to the desert to get this shot.Yes, we stayed in the desert for a few days, haha but the effort was worth the art of it! I love the vibe of the desert, and it's one of my favorite places to be.You cannot beat the sunset in the desert.
Going forward, I will be making more reveals like this. just full fledged vibes, because it makes my work feel like art! and YES I am shooting with some full figured models too! already shot one, just waiting for the client to approve the post!

The backdrop paid for the trip✨ also, I like the juxtaposition of a backdrop that is in the middle of a natural setting. It’s my preference, and I style I like in my art.

This dress is just absolutely spectacular. I mean I honestly can't get over that someone can make something so beautiful with thier own hands. I am an artist myself. I draw and paint and also do interior design but I wish I had the talent to make clothing that just speaks to peoples soul like this dress speaks to mine. I am engaged and this would be my dream wedding dress hands down.

You're a perfectionist, I can tell. The dedication with the wall and driving out there, everything is meticulously done. The reveal was gorgeous, but the dress itself just absolutely breathtaking. I don't want to get married, but I want that dress so bad. Its just exquisite!

You should do some sort of contest so a bride can win a dress from you and maybe a prom one. Like have them nominated by family with a short letter or something. I dunno, I just feel like your work could really bless someone in need.

Yeah Tim Burton didn't have any part in making Coraline but the director did take inspiration from Burton's films.

I love how he just gets down to it. Lord knows I need motivation and inspiration. Seeing him do this is my fuel. I'm a fashion designer myself. I know how to drape, pattern draft, and I have a working knowledge of pattern grading. Sadly, I have not created anything in 10yrs! Talk about being low.
You just gotta believe in yourself and do the work because it makes you happy. I BELIEVE IN YOU!! You can do beautiful things with all the knowledge you have! I’d love to see your work, too. 😁

Well then today is the day!!!! No pressure to be anything besides yourself! And there's no such thing as right or wrong. Just you finding something to inspire you, next decide on the piece, then fabric. And most importantly start it today and finish something, at least one whole part of it. Bodice? Sleeves? Collar? Skirt? Corset! Just something ( or the whole thing is fine too ). Lol, if you only finish One thing.... Make sure you repeat the process everyday until done. It takes quite a while to form a habit sometimes up to 224 days, but at least you'll be quickly forming the mindset to finish what you've started be being diligent, motivated thorough. That way even if it takes a while to get another project up& running you'll have completed one that you can look at to motivate and inspire you to keep moving. And make others Happy too!!! Good luck 😃😌

OMG! The dress, the backdrop, the desert reveal, EVERYTHING was just gorgeous!!! You are my VERY favorite designer & I love that you’re self taught!!! You are fabulous. I've been sewing, machine sewing, since I was seven. By the time I was in high school I absolutely hated it, but was so but was really good at it. I made all of my own clothes in high school. At 16 to 18 I was working in a fabric department at a five and dime store. At a 20% off discount, I was always buying fabric. But now I have to force myself to sew anything. I am a medievalist and have sewn all of my gowns. I've made some mind-blowing tutor dresses. But you have such a better dedication, talent and vision in the garments you make. I love the boho dress. It is completely my style. You have so much talent and patience. Thank you for these videos

When I was in high school, my father worked in a high end knitting mill. He was the only one who worked on the machines. He said if I wanted any materials to let him know. So I made all my clothes the last two years in school. You have inspired me to sew again. Your clothes are beautiful.

Me: You give me, hard to obtain dreams of a Hand Fasting in the desert with my soul mate and all of our family and friends actually being super in to having a Pagan celebration of love and union. Flower girl? No. All the kids have flower petals, ALL the adults have flower petals. There is no rice or confetti. The decor is minimal bc we focused on everyone having fun. Everyone brings a dish and snacks to share. After Dark all the kiddos go to the rented building filled with actual comfy cots and pillows and soft music and a star projector to sleep and actual toilets. All the older kids get all the snacks and a few sober adults to party and play games outside as late as they can stand as long as they keep an ear and an eye out for the littles. The other adults party responsibly and all considerate like a ways away in the desert as my love and I retire to our own fancy private glamping tent with a king sized bed and champagne and all the comfy blankets bc let's be real honest we ain't gonna want to do much after a long day like that except wash up, hydrate, sip some bubbles and cuddle.

It’s hard for children when all adults around them are partying and drinking. Kids need play time too! Even at events. I'm from Joshua tree and I can't express how hard it is to take away my eyes from my desert hometown but I had to watch it 3x before I could see the Joshua tree mountains I miss so much. Great job love your work!
