Yes, that was so refreshing. Her mum seems as lovely as Michelle is and was happy to see her choose a dress that resonated with her personality. The last dress looked amazing.
OMG, David Emmanuel being professional, emphatic, keeping on budget and genuinely happy... The day actually exists! I'm agree respecting the second dress, it matched her better but I actually loved the back and the skirt of the chosen one. Lovely episode, sincere crew and a very beautiful bride.
@@Izzy-bq1rc And how do you know that production doesn't have anything to do with that? Without proof everyone assumes its David, which is HIGHLY unfair!
and, how the bride looked to her mom w/out any conflict. It was beautiful. The dress she picked was beautiful!!! Those straps and her shape in it. wow!
I get where she's coming from though, because when you're a performer, it's all about how you look. Plus, when you're in musical theater, you're constantly surrounded by dancers and women with the most perfect bodies. And everyone looks bigger onstage with all those lights shining on them. Different standards, I suppose.
@Trooth I guess I did not notice any of those, I see her as a whole. However, I do agree that if a bride to be feels personally (not told by her entourage) self-conscious about something - it shouldn’t be highlighted by a dress.
I've watched so many episodes of Say Yes (UK, Lanchisire, USA) and this is the first one where Mum was actually thinking of the bride and what was good for the bride. Kudos to Mum. That's what stole my heart this episode. It was beautiful.
I was aiming for blush as well. In fact, the runner up was blush pink. In the end I chose a dress with a mocha tone under the lace and beading. Can't wait to wear it.
all the comments about her being self-conscious of her arms and they didn't try a single dress with sleeves? man i need a SYTTD show where they get something custom-designed for them - i wanted to see her in long lace sleeves that go right up to the corner of her shoulders with a blingy belt and a lace/sparkle-tulle skirt with a CRAZY long train. i think that would have suited the venue, her background, and her preferences perfectly.
I agree, I didn’t really like any of the dresses they showed her. Especially after she kept saying she wanted something that pulls the attention away from her upper body. I don’t know why they don’t have it show solid long sleeve dresses.
Ugh, they ALWAYS do this on this show. No matter what, they always make the bride try on a strapless dress, even when she says she doesn't like her upper body. Why do they have to default to strapless???? It's so boring and that particular style is actually unflattering on most body types, especially if you have bigger arms. Get it together, wedding consultants!!!
I was thinking about that. The Price is for those gowns wasn’t that bad if it’s American dollars. I don’t understand a pound, when they’re talking about money.🥰🐾
For the curious, it turns out getting married at St. Paul's is an option for members of the "Cathedral community" as well as members of the Order of St Michael and St George, the Order of the British Empire, holders of the British Empire Medal, members of the Imperial Society of Knights Bachelor and their children (but not grandchildren). Michelle's mom Sue was awarded an Order of the British Empire in 2011 for "her work as head of the resources division at the Export Credits Guarantee Department" (which is a UK government agency).
I would’ve personally picked the second dress, it’s a lot more my taste and was exactly as she described but she looks really pretty in the last one! It’s just not as dramatic and blush coloured as she was talking about.
