Some people just aren’t good at visualisation. My niece took me house hunting because she hated everything she saw but I could point out all the potential and practical things that ticked her boxes and she saw it differently.
It was sad her own family could not her there. But its great she has a mother in law she likes, and agrees with on the dress. I wish more mothers in law could be like her. 👏👏
The major problem in this kinda of relationship is that most parents think that they are raising their children for themselves. But no. Children are raised for the WORLD. So when parents are so posessive they get jealous of the future husband/wife. The truth is Mother and Woman have different types of loves. Thank to the Gods my mother in law actually see me as her new daughter. We are best friends and she always jokes around "Why i will fight or compete with her? She is the one that makes him (her son) calm down in the room you know! He is a sweet now!" She is really funny and open minded.
I heavily dislike my in laws; she called me a whore and he called me a bitch, all because my fiancé moved in with me, and still brings it up every time she calls me. I have come to the conclusion that I will never have in laws that like me for me.
She looks SO beautiful in that dress. It’s perfect for her. And agreed that it’s refreshing to see a bride stand up for herself and a MIL who actually cares about the bride’s feelings.
I’m gonna be honest- I think the bride was making a huge deal out of the mother in law liking traditional weddings. The mother in law wasn’t pushy or anything and respected the bride’s opinions and likes. The fact that the mother in law was being honest and politely disagreeing with the pink dress at first, but the bride was freaking out. Yes I understand it could be anxiety but my thoughts are the producers told her to do stuff like that.
Yes you can see with this show it's mostly scripted. They probably get a reduction on the cost of the dress for taking part, so need to make up some shenanigans.
I agree with you, I get that it's her dress but sometimes you have to compromise and I don't think wearing a veil was too much of an ask from her in-law. Most likely scripted
Gosh the amount of people who have dissagreed with me when I said that🙄. They make any normal dress in white, label it a white dress and charge you tripple for it.
Before queen Victoria brides wore a lot of types and colours of dresses, in some countries white is also a mourning colour. Also white is not flattering on a lot of people l think different colours are the way to go
I think in some cases it makes sense. Here for example. I think the dress just looks like a fancy prom dress and the veil kinda made it a wedding dress. Here it changed the vibe completly from prom dress to wedding dress. In other cases it makes less sense though.
I think I want a pink dress for my future wedding as well. However, I want mine to be a much lighter pink, like a pale pink with white lace, pearls, crystals, and sterling silver accents.
I'm getting married soon and my wedding gown is satin with a plush pink bodice and ivory skirt with lots of tulle in the underskirt. Very Sleeping beauty inspired minus the cathedral veil
cuz no one wants to see the bride looking horrid down the aisle either nothing about what they choose says i want to get married they dress up like if theyre just going to a party or something. at this age people will be happy if the bride is wearing a freaking trash bag or naked down the aisle and wont say a thing even if they hate it simp ly because its her wedding hunny idgf if it is your wedding if yoiu look like shit imma let you know lol no one wants to look like crap on their wedding day the peoples reaction should be on the bride not her choice in clothing and if it is let it be a positive reaction cuz the last thing a bride wants is people whispering about her while the entire wedding is happening or worse made fun of after in photos lol
I know right. It's her wedding, she's the one getting married, it's going to be her precious memory. People should just shut up and agree with her, and what she wants.
Then why does she bring an entourage if all she wants is them to nod her taste.. So stupid.. If you are sure about you choice, don't bring anyone with you ..
I loved the veil as it elevated it to a bridal gown from just a formal gown, but I'd love to see it with a floral headpiece as that would be appropriate for a beach wedding. The pink reminds me of a pale shell pink. I would have loved it when I got married in the 80's but it was white or ivory then.
I love the pink dress. The veil is beautiful. But I know from experience that it can be windy at the beach and a veil can be difficult to control. For that reason alone I would not recommend a veil.
And the pink dress has a train: how is that going to hold up on a sandy beach? (If they're getting married on the beach, maybe just something overlooking the beach...)
Queen Victoria of England “invented” the tradition of the white wedding gown. It wasn’t a thing before the Queen. P.S. A big thank you for all the up votes. 🥰
Yep! It was because those that could afford white were the rich. Back then a lot of brides wore dresses they already owned. (I was in school for wedding planning and that was a subject matter I had to read about)
"a pink dress does not say I'm a bride" if you need a white dress to tell who the bride is, is it possible you went to the wrong wedding if you don't know who the Bride is?
I love the dress and it fits her shape beautifully. What I don't like is that specific shade of pink. A shade more on the blush side would have been more elegant. And the veil made the look together.
Slick Spongebob in regards to world traditions (cause the us is not the the only country) it’s not long enough to be a tradition. Like op said only past 180 years caus eof queen victoria which even if you still wanted to call it tradition wouldn’t be our tradition because we don’t have a royal family.
origindivaz09 We are American with our own history, culture and traditions. A white dress is traditional American. There is no such thing as a “world tradition” because every country and culture is different so your point is ridiculous.
Sweetzs100 there are world traditions just like there are country and cutler specific traditions. I’m not sure why you’d think there aren’t? For example having a coming of age ceremony is a world tradition. Is t different for all countries and culture yeah but in terms of world history it’s a basic tradition.
Even if my reply is a bit too late...if i had such a nice mother in law i would wear the veil just for her.I mean a real relation means to compromise and if she could accept pink then a veil won't hurt anyone, right? As the comment up after all it's her husband mother and her kids will have a good grandma.
I personally think the white dress looks a little bit dated honestly. The pink is beautiful and I really think the veil makes it, otherwise it almost looks like a bridesmaid's dress, even with the little headpiece piece without the veil it still looks more bridal.

In bright beach sunlight, it won't look as pink. Will look beautiful next to beige sand & tropical green.
With a tropical flowers in her hair, no need for a veil
Except for most Caribbean sand is white
Imagine it in the evening
I agree I think white or cream would be “lost” in a beach setting👏👏
This isn’t bad at least you’re not wearing size 13 nike’s

She is lucky to have a family like this.
This was her choice, not her luck. She chose to become a part of this family.
She looks like a sparkly pink jellyfish and I love it!
that's such an abstract way of explaining it but i love it xD
Hey, jellyfish are beautiful creatures. That's a compliment.
They're also deadly.
i love that way of explaining it!!
yazz queen
also i was the 1k person to like the comment and it was cool seeing it change hehe
for her wedding, she looks like a jellyfish?
*bride walks out with the dress that she wants*
Bride’s mother in law: no
*Say Yes to the Dress crew adds veil*
Bride’s mother in law: OMG, ITS PERFECT
in her defence - LIKED the dress hated the colour
Well she did like the dress just not the colour. She did say that the veil made the difference. Also if the dress made the bride happy then she was happy
How many times have they added a veil and other accessories and people completely change their minds?
That's kind of why they do it.
U thought u did sum here lmao
Some people just aren’t good at visualisation. My niece took me house hunting because she hated everything she saw but I could point out all the potential and practical things that ticked her boxes and she saw it differently.
70% of the entourage i saw:
"dont like the dress"
*Wears a veil*
"i love the dress"
Edit: omg 1k likes. Mom im famous!!
Carlos Geonzon the veil pulls it all together that’s why the sales teams always do that
Lol
True
True that
Famous daw oh haha
The veil added lightness, fabulousness and solemnity.

Bride: “No veil”
*Monte begins fainting*

Ya
Sure, she agrees on the dress but she’s trying to force the veil. She doesn’t get to dictate what the DIL wants to do.
Right..mine wont even be invited to our wedding. Sorry but what you give is what you get
I heavily dislike my in laws; she called me a whore and he called me a bitch, all because my fiancé moved in with me, and still brings it up every time she calls me.
I have come to the conclusion that I will never have in laws that like me for me.
I died at the dramatic fanning with the "no veil"
It's just-
priceless
Edit: bro 500+ likes?! damn!
That pink wedding dress is a dream! Perfect for her venue, and she looks magical in it!
This dress is drop dead gorgeous. My daughter wore blush pink for her wedding & looked beautiful
:)) That sounds so nice! I hope she is happy and healthy
Why is it they no longer include the designer’s name and price ☹️
Missed that too
The dress is Soledad by Watters!
Omg tottly looking for the price as well xxxx
@@rachelvuong7384 Thank you!!!
sometimes they mention them but yeag
I never would have looked at a pink dress but DAMN that is a stunning dress and looks perfect on her.
can't understand why everyone likes that basic looking pink dress with rags hanging off of it
@@innag6888 good think it’s not something for you to understand….
@@dirtydan5399 I have as much right to comment as you do, dirty dodo. Now go take a shower.
Exactly my thoughts
definitely producers/editing haha. they have to make drama somehow
Yes you can see with this show it's mostly scripted. They probably get a reduction on the cost of the dress for taking part, so need to make up some shenanigans.
@@annabizaro-doo-dah I'm pretty sure I heard they get the dresses for free if they participate
I agree with you, I get that it's her dress but sometimes you have to compromise and I don't think wearing a veil was too much of an ask from her in-law. Most likely scripted
That pink dress is one of my favorites I’ve seen on this show. Gorgeous!
Now THIS is the correct way of giving your opinion.
Her mother in law was so sweet about the pink dress and even cried when she saw her all jacked up ❤️ the girl is real fortunate
Bride:no veil
Monte: dying
🤣🤣🤣
I loved how dramatic it is🤣
😂😂
y’all...ANY dress is a wedding dress if you wear it to a wedding get over yourselves
Absolutely,it can be wedding pants,jumpsuit....so long u r the bride it counts as one
that's what i'm saying!
Gosh the amount of people who have dissagreed with me when I said that🙄. They make any normal dress in white, label it a white dress and charge you tripple for it.
Before queen Victoria brides wore a lot of types and colours of dresses, in some countries white is also a mourning colour. Also white is not flattering on a lot of people l think different colours are the way to go
Exactly! If you are the bride and you wear the dress, pick what you want! Color, design, anything is a wedding dress! Your wedding. Rock it.
How about every time the bride and the family disagree, just throw on a veil. That always seems to do the trick XD
A light light pink makes skin glow. Beautiful.
Wow nice
I'm getting married soon and my wedding gown is satin with a plush pink bodice and ivory skirt with lots of tulle in the underskirt. Very Sleeping beauty inspired minus the cathedral veil
who cares about the dress? I'd really like a Sharon in my future.
Sounds lovely to me.
You can tell she’s already family, her mother in law loves her more than some of other moms on this show 😂
The relationship the bride has with her mother-in-law is as close as any mother I have seen on the show. Totally charming 😍
Why can't people just let the bride wear what she wants??? SHE'S the ONE getting married!!!
This though. I'm so happy that my husband's family genuinely didn't care what I wore, I got to make all the choices and it was amazing.
cuz no one wants to see the bride looking horrid down the aisle either nothing about what they choose says i want to get married they dress up like if theyre just going to a party or something. at this age people will be happy if the bride is wearing a freaking trash bag or naked down the aisle and wont say a thing even if they hate it simp
ly because its her wedding hunny idgf if it is your wedding if yoiu look like shit imma let you know lol no one wants to look like crap on their wedding day the peoples reaction should be on the bride not her choice in clothing and if it is let it be a positive reaction cuz the last thing a bride wants is people whispering about her while the entire wedding is happening or worse made fun of after in photos lol
@Kawi point
I love how the mother in law and daughter in law interact. Adorable.
She looks like a mix of Mariah Carey And Jade Thirwall!
Kim Louise Guillermo lmao yes
I was thinking Mariah Carey + Beanie Feldstein but yeah, yours is better 😂
Omg I can no longer look at her without this thought 😂
Yes
Oh, ya all mean Jeed ❤❤❤❤
The bride looks like mariah carey

The veil looked magical. How lucky she has the best Mother in law. She is so sweet.
That dress is GORGEOUS and the veil made it even better
That veil was the finishing touch on that dress. Loved that dress. Looked so magical.
it’s so refreshing to see a healthy relationship on this show
I hope she ended up wearing a gorgeous floral crown instead... That would be perfection on the beach with that dress!
This !!!!!
The world needs to be more like Sharon. There’s no debating that.
How ironic that it rhymes with Karen. And we need none of those. Lmao
In a world of Karens be a Sharon. 😂
@@acelovesdiyschristopher7023 haha right!
Sharon: the anti Karen
We all need a Sharon in our lives!
The Bride is gorgeous in the pink gown. Gorgeous! And the veil floating down is Stunning. I hope she says YES to both. Happy Wedding 💒
Her future mother in law is the kindest woman, bless her heart. What an amazing family to join.
She should have nothing to say about the dress.
I love the pink dress. The veil is beautiful. But I know from experience that it can be windy at the beach and a veil can be difficult to control. For that reason alone I would not recommend a veil.
Marci S for that reason I am
Out
Her floaty dress will also be hard to control if it's windy.
She could have weights sown in or have flower girls hold it.
And the pink dress has a train: how is that going to hold up on a sandy beach? (If they're getting married on the beach, maybe just something overlooking the beach...)
Unless the wind is off the charts, a bit of wind can look amazing in photos. I say that as a photographer.
Queen Victoria of England “invented” the tradition of the white wedding gown. It wasn’t a thing before the Queen. P.S. A big thank you for all the up votes. 🥰
And it had nothing to do with the condition of the body inside the dress. Queen Victoria got married in 1840 - can we PLEASE drop this nonsense?
wrong. it was actually borrowed from the persians.
@@soumyapawar8125 you persians have to stop saying everything is pErSiAn
@@iremsezer8590 lol I'm not even PeRsIaN
That's not what she meant and you know that
The dress is pretty, but the adding of the veil is just magical,
I love the dress and it fits her shape beautifully. What I don't like is that specific shade of pink. A shade more on the blush side would have been more elegant. And the veil made the look together.
Up close it was a bit too Barbie.
I agree, a much lighter shade of pink would of been more beautiful. But that veil made this dress absolutely stunning!
I agree the veil just elavates the whole look. Maybe a shorter one, that one is too long for the beach.
Omg how stunning! And I feel like the bride and her mom in law will get along well as they both know that sometimes compromise works best 💖
Monti and Lori just died when she said: “no veil”
Yes, Lori should have gotten the smelling salts out for poor fainting monti
Lol that was funny 😆
omg when they put her hair up and put on the veil! beautiful wedding look
The mother in law obviously loves her. It’s wonderful.
The mother in law is so sweet.
Thst veil made her look ten times better in my opinion
"A pink dress does not say I'm a bride" you're right *being* a bride is what say I'm a bride.
White isn't even that traditional. 🤣 Only the past 180 ish years 🤣🤣 1840 cause of queen Victoria
we stan a smart sister
🤦🏻♀️
I love the mother in law she's such a sweetheart...omg they sends that daughter mother vibe
Jessica is a lucky woman. That mother in law is such a catch 😘🙏
Yup. Glad someone else is smart enough to know it's not just the boy you're marrying. You're providing your kids with a top notch grandma, too!!
If you glance at her quickly, especially in her pictures, she kind of looks like Mariah Carey.
and kinda like Jade from Little Mix
Doing a small thing for someone will not break or take away the beauty it only adds one!
