The bride seems to be so easily distracted with her budget, style choices etc Her mother is aware of this, knows her best and can see this. Strong willed does not equate maturity here.
But it is easy for the mother of the groom, becuse the young couple will live close to her. I know that the mother of the bride should accept it,but it's her who is in a heart breaking situation, not the mother of the groom.
I agree. I wanted to wear my mother’s dress. I’m the only one in the family whose build would fit it. But it was white & it was my second marriage so she was horrified that I’d wear white. This was in 1994 so long past that rule!
That MIL is an angel. They’re both so lucky to have found each other. She gets to enjoy being a part of his family, and they get to enjoy how sweet she is!

THAT is my job as her mother.

She actually was the one who found my dress which made it even more special! So sad to see so many moms miss out on what can be such an incredible bonding experience! I don’t understand why these wedding salons don’t have more variety of colored dresses. There was this girl in London who wanted a Steampunk wedding theme and they found her this stunning eggplant fitted gown. Everyone has a right to have their dream dress.
These are old episodes maybe 2012. At that time, it wasn’t that common colored wedding dresses. Of course, anybody should marry as they please, they just want to go to the right place.
Supply and demand. They have only so much space and a huge majority of their customers want white or ivory. Sometimes it might be better to go to a formalwear store.
It would be impossible and impractical for a bridal salon to try and anticipate all the various colors brides might want. They'd have to have salons the size of an Amazon warehouse to house dresses that would have bridal appeal for all of, what? Two months, max?

To be fair, in this case, she wanted something specific. And this episode is from over 15 years ago so there weren’t a lot of options outside of a white traditional gown.

As a south asian bride I always dreamt of a hot pink lehnga dress instead of classic red. Many tried to convince me to go with traditional red but I went with my choice and even had to let it customly made. It was awesome. To date the most beautiful wedding dress I personally have seen ❤

As a south asian bride I always dreamt of a hot pink lehnga dress instead of classic red. Many tried to convince me to go with traditional red but I went with my choice and even had to let it customly made. It was awesome. To date the most beautiful wedding dress I personally have seen ❤

Honestly the dress was so stunning, I was mad when she took it off the first time. I didn’t like Nr. 1 but Nr.2 and Final was just PERFEKT.
