This was so very helpful. I've been wanting to try this and add this technique to my card making. Very new to this. So thank you so much for putting this how to video together for beginners.
Thank you so much for this beginner’s video. You’re right they don’t show you what you need to emboss just what they are doing at the moment. I’m so glad I found your video.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊 I would always see these embossing kits and tools in Michaels, Jo-Ann's, Walmart, etc. and never really understood the process. Now I feel confident about purchasing these items and knowing how to use them. I'm sure I'll have to watch this video again 3 or 4 times, but I'll get it.😁 Thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!!
Great video, l like how you stay on track & explain the different options as you do the demos. Straight to the point! You’ve taken my curiosity to making a shopping list to buy the embossing items! Thanks bunches!
VERY helpful video!! Thank you so much for sharing!! I was a little intimidated to try embossing but you changed my mind about it!! Also thank you for linking all the tools you will need, that is very helpful as well!! I subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to watching some of your other videos!! Thanks again!!
Claire Allen ah right? It looks so difficult when others do it because they really don't go over the steps. It really took me a while to figure out what I need because people just add some powder in videos and don't explain why or how it works ! Glad I could help !
Hi I just found your channel! I loved this video! I liked and subscribed to you! Thanks for showing these techniques! I used to do embossing but when i was real young, i've forgotten how, thanks for this video! Introvert mom of 4 sons (2 autistic) loving the youtube community learning from others. God Bless!
You make embossing look so easy! Thanks for sharing your expertise. I have yet to begin using embossing in my craft work. Approximately how long should one use the heat tool? TIA for your reply ♥️
Hi, I really love your instructions. So clear and beginner friendly. I have a question, is it okay to use a rubber stand and not just an acrylic stamp?
I think you might be able to get embossing powder that's thicker; maybe someone else knows more about this, or you could look at the website for a company like Ranger or Wow that makes embossing powders. I've seen videos where people coat die cuts with VersaMark, emboss, then repeat the process a couple more times to get a thicker coating. If you have a precision stamping tool like the MISTI, you could try doing this with a stamped image - I haven't, so I don't know whether it would work.
Thanks so much for your video on Heat Embossing; very clear and informative. I wanted to use heat embossing on my Christmas cards this year, but the problem I'm having is with that "Powder Buddy Thingy!" It's not a buddy a mine! It works great for keeping the embossing powder from sticking to your card where you don't want it to stick, but after I'm done heat embossing, you can see the powder from the thingy all around my stamp! :( I've tried brushing it off with my little paint brush - both before apply heat and after, but you can still clearly see it. I should mention I'm trying to do this heat embossing on a dark blue cardstock with white embossing powder. Is anyone else running in this problem?
KarolinasKrafts - you’ve probably learned by now, but if not, the powder is similar to the ingredients of baby powder. Other than that, I know pretty much nothing about embossing and that’s why I’m here. 😊
Hi, i love your video so much. Very informative! I have a question, can I use normal rubber stamp for the 2nd method? Or can only use clear stamp fr this?
I'd make sure your embossing pad is nice and juicy. Also, make sure your stamp is very clean. A newer stamp has to be conditioned and broken it, if you will. Try stamping over and over again before using it to heat emboss. I've had the same issues with some photopolymer stamps. Hope this helps....
Debbie Freespirit- Labonte you can try it if you’d like but I’m not sure how well that would work. I thing a hair blow dryer is stronger and blows out more heat, but I’ve never tried it so I can’t say if it will work or not
Thank you!! I have a Ranger heat tool, and I'm new to embossing, so I haven't known what's user error and what's...something else. But I can run my heat tool about 1/2" away from the thing for like 5 minutes and it seems to barely melt, whereas when I see videos like yours, the embossing powder seems to melt almost instantly. Does the Ranger heat tool just suck, or am I doing something wrong? (I've been stamping with Versamark then coating it up with the powder as shown.)
What is the best embossing power for a beginner I have the glitter wow embossing power my stamps come out ok but not as good as I thought they would could u plz help me and how long did it take u to get use to it
the first time i did it mine came out well! i first started trying it out with the embossing pens and it turned out well, then i experimented with the stamping option. the one thing i struggled with in the beginning was powder all over everything in places i didn't want it to be on my final piece. i tried removing it with a brush but it was difficult so i 100% recommend the chalk thing i mentioned, it's definitely a game changer and the powder only sticks where you want it to stick using that. the embossing powder i use is by hero arts.. i linked everything below in the description of the video :D
You can try a brush pen I just don't know if the powder will stick to that! The embossing markers have some kind of adhesive in them that helps the embossing powder stick to it!
What tips do you have for embossing ; a coffee mug? I’ve tried cutting a template with vinyl and then filling it with the pen. But it doesn’t come out like I want it too 😔
You have such pretty handwriting. Is Versamark Ink the same company who made embossing powders to use together? Also, can I use hair dryer if I don't have a heat tool?
A hair dryer won't work. I think that's because it doesn't get hot enough, but it might also be that the volume of air dislodges some of the embossing powder.
Pigment inks. Versamark and had some luck with dye base if your quick on powder or use a stamp postioner stamp with color you like of dye then stamp again with versamark the add clear embossing powder. Another great way to not buy all colors of powder and or not limited 2 just pigment inks.
What kind of powder did you use? Also, I tried this out minus the chalky thing but only some parts came out shiny. Is it the absence of the chalky thing? Did I emboss for too long? Help. It just looks like brown marker on some parts.
the chalk just helps prevent the powder from sticking everywhere. I think maybe you just need to work faster or do it in pieces because the marker may have dried before you got to add the powder to it.

KarolinasKrafts you did very great thank you also
how can i do custom words with the stamping method because i cant write so pretty with that type of designer writing heat embossing pen
Thank you for a great video. I was given an embossing set as a gift but didn't know how to use it.

This answered my questions in a few short minutes--and very clearly. Thanks!
so happy it helped, thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this video, I am a crafter and I would just love to try embossing...
forrealgirl 42 hope you give it a shot!
Love it and you have wonderful handwriting!!!
Thanks for sharing how or what do you clean your stamps afterwards?
Thank you so so much! This was exactly what I was looking for! :D Now I know exactly what I need to get started :)
Just what I wanted! Explained it perfectly! Thank you!

Thank you! Great video, quick and to the point.

I've always wanted to learn how to emboss and dang, thank you!! I think even I could make something look decent 😂
I absolutely love it!! Thank You!!!
Not sure if this question was asked already. What is the stamp set (sentiments) you are using? I love it!!! I didn’t see it under the links above
Hi, I really love your instructions. So clear and beginner friendly. I have a question, is it okay to use a rubber stand and not just an acrylic stamp?
Yes you can use a rubber stamp too
Thank you so much, for taking the time to explain how embossing works and the tools needed to begin!❤️
hope it was super helpful! :D
Thank you for your presentations. What do you do if you want it to be raised higher, thicker?
I think you might be able to get embossing powder that's thicker; maybe someone else knows more about this, or you could look at the website for a company like Ranger or Wow that makes embossing powders. Hi have you tried using black sharpies, instead of special pen??
Coz the textas usually bleed with ink ..
Thanks for your video.. ❤
thank you this is so helpful! Can't wait to try embossing soon
Perfectly explained and brilliantly executed. Thank you 😊
thank you so much! glad you found it useful! :D
Do you use a stamp cleaning solution to get rid of the Versamark ink?
My anti static bag is brand new. It’s leaving a white residue on the paper. What tips do you have for me? Thank you.
Great informative video...thank you so much for taking the time to explain heat embossing
Just curious, is there a reason you have to use clear stamps or can you use other regular rubber stamps that are mounted on wood?
you can use other stamps! you just have to use that ink pad as it's like a sticky pad for the powder to adhere to
Do you calk poweder when your embossing on glass or any other material ?
where do you get the chalk from to apply before stamping . Excellent and clear instructions.
Rose Tweddle Amazon! There’s a link in my bio 😁 thank you so much
Thank you I did not realize you needed the chalk bag every time!

That's terrific!!!
Can I use my hair dryer instead heat tool?
미쿡언니-MICOOK UNNI I’m not sure. You can always give it a shot thoigh
@@KarolinasKrafts thanks
@@micook_unni probably not, It will blow away the powder
I don't think it would be hot enough - the air from a craft heat tool is really hot.
I've never done it but would not mind giving it a try, Thank you
so easy and pretty! Can't wait to get started ♥
its so much fun !
Beautiful, great job helpful
Thank u very much this is very helpful for me to understand how to emboss.
I had no idea what the chalk thingy was for!!! I’ve always had the problem of excess powder
Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Super helpful video! Thank you! 💖
I love the card you made!
Thanks for this super easy video. I’ve been on the fence about embossing but you have sold me on it!
so glad you enjoyed the video! embossing is so fun :D
Thank you. Awesome video
Great! Thanks for making it so simple
Glad it was helpful!
The chalk bag is called the embossing buddy
thank you!
I have heard it is called an embossing pouch. Maybe thats just me, but I got mine from Hobby Lobby and the package said that.
KarolinasKrafts - you’ve probably learned by now, but if not, the powder is similar to the ingredients of baby powder. Other than that, I know pretty much nothing about embossing and that’s why I’m here. 😊
Is there a way to remove the embossing ink if you change your mind?
This video was SOOOOO useful. THANK YOU!!! : )
Yay that makes me so happy! Glad I could help! :D
Hi, can you do this on fabrics like suede or cardboard kraft boxes ? Thank you so much for the video x
You should definitely be able to do it on cardboard. For suede idk how well the would work because it’s textured but you can try it !
@@KarolinasKrafts thank you so much for your response and I’ll try it out and see. Hopefully it works :-)
Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Chinelo I. Nwankwo so happy you found it helpful! Thank you for watching! 💕
Thanks for the tips I’m getting heat gun for my cards for to upgrade them then stickers.
Very informative video!
Here's a tip...rub your embossing buddy on your folded scrap paper and it will come off easy when pouring it back into your container.
Ohmy💗💗💗!!! The ideas?!! #subscribed
Is there a clear embossing powder that can accentuate the underlayer ink colors, or can i only emboss using specific colors?
Hi, i love your video so much. Very informative! I have a question, can I use normal rubber stamp for the 2nd method? Or can only use clear stamp fr this?
You can use a rubber stamp
@@KarolinasKrafts thank you so much fr the swift reply! Appreciate it
Looks like fun, I've never done it
Great video lesson!
Can one use a hand blow dryer in place of the heating tool?
I have never tried it so i'm not sure! You can always give it a try, I just don't know if it'll blow heat hot enough for the embossing powder
My stamp is coming out patchy after I put it in my clear ink pad. Do you have any tips for not getting a patchy logo please ?
maybe it's just the kind of stamp you're using?
I'd make sure your embossing pad is nice and juicy. Also, make sure your stamp is very clean. A newer stamp has to be conditioned and broken it, if you will. Try stamping over and over again before using it to heat emboss. I've had the same issues with some photopolymer stamps. Hope this helps....

Whats that you used to scrub the paper?
This was very helpful.
so happy to hear that ! that was definitely the goal :)

can you use any type of blower heating thing or can i use a hair blower??

I was thinking about trying this. So when using vinyl like a stencil and coloring it in with an embossing marker, it doesn’t work?
I think you need to use StazOn for embossing on a surface that's not some type of paper.
Can I any stamp pad or a specific one in order for me to heat emboss
Typical Arien I recommend the one i showed. It needs to be sticky in order for the powder to stick to it
