that "oooooooo" wasn't unnecessary - sound effects are the BEST when you're heat embossing. that desk is coool!! great ideas. now i'm gonna go play with my powders
I cannot believe I haven't run into your AWESOME videos before!! I am a transplanted Chicagoan living in the UK who initially struggled to find USA products and had to rely on family to send over goodies. So, over the years, I have acquired many supplies (one suitcase just for crafts on USA visits) and I have loads of embossing powders! I cannot wait to view the rest of your videos - thank you!
Whoa - imagine switching up the stencil like that - through the big shot sandwich of all things - to think I THROW THINGS OUT IF THEY COME OUT ROUGH LOOKING! I’ll never do that again - THANK YOU SO MUCH - Your validation is huge!
Never mind the brand...wow...wow...wow 🤗 I am so happy to have this knowledge...I am guilty of hardly using my powders...thank you so much...Jane North Wales UK 🇬🇧 😀
I have just binge-watched a bunch of your videos. Not only are you informative and truly have some really great ideas, but you are very fun to listen to! LOL I enjoy your humour! ... and I loved what you said about you have to have fun otherwise, why do it? I love that!
I love the desk video/promo, especially the young man sitting on the desk while you raise it! Super cute but also a great video of how good the desk works.
Oh I loved your ideas AND the sound affects were the BEST. Thanks for the video I am going to use up some of my embossing powers and have fun in the process.
Thanks for different ways to use up those powders. I've collected quite a few bottles over the years. I actually only use 5 regularly. The tape one was the one already use. Especially when I need a strip around the card instead of matting with mirror or glossy card stock. I like the ones with the stencils. I've tried many times to use embossing powder with them. Never work out for me. Now I will definitely give it another try. Thanks
Thank you so much for showing us so many different ways to use our Embossing stuff. Your videos are always super helpful and inspiring. Thanks a million. Oh, and I loooove the sound effects. Lol.
You can now buy embossing ink in a dabbed top bottle and a roll top type bottle. You can use it In mixed media projects. You can use glycerin in your water or plain glycerin as embossing ink. And then pour on embossing powder and heat as usual.
Very nice! I've used a paint brush and food grade glycerin to write with and embossed. I never knew you could use plain water. That's interesting. They're all pretty. I like the magic mug idea. How fun. Thanks for sharing.
These are cool techniques, but i am loving that desk! I so want one! I prefer to craft standing up, and bending over the table is painful after awhile. Im going to have to check it out. Thanks for everything.
You are AMAZING! No "puffing" as Judge Judy says. I can cram SO much information in such a short time. Great for sneaking in a quick 'how to' video at work and also great for my "Homer Simpson" brain which geats distracted so easily. You're the only RUclips subcription I actually watch.... Thanks so much!!
I really liked the technique we learned at the summer eat sleep craft and repeat. Just a bit of dots here and there over a paste. We put the paste with the help of a stencil on the card!
Re-watching this and you always blow me away with the way you think outside of the box and doing this style of video is amazing. so a huge ty for doing this for us
3:24 👻👻👻I LOVED your sound effex: had me giggling along. I’m an absolute squinty -new beginner at card making but I’m doing a lot of research to see what embossing is all about & its addictive! Thank you for all the creativity.
This is the first of your videos I've watched...it won't be the last! You have a great voice for this kind of work and your explanations are clear-cut and easy to follow. I am also going to check out that table...I love it! Thanks so much for getting the brain cells thinking about alternative ways to use products!
I AM ALSO AN EMBOSSING FANATIC... LOTS OF 'EM. MOST are WOW, but I do have a few other brands, as well. Brutus|Monroe is my fav embossing ink, though. I do have sev brands of that, too.
OMG Laurel OH you WOWED' me to say the least!!! I couldn't wait to see what you had up your Brilliant Creative Sleeve and Girl your Ingeniousity was in full force....and definitely can't wait to give each of your Embossing Hacks a try!! Blowing my mind, did you forget I am an damned old lady with mind, with your marvelous talent. really pick a vorite, how about everyone of them hhaha! Blessing
I Only use clear powder and add mica powder. It's the cheaper way to make colorfull embossing powder. Glitter effects metallic glow in the dark and more
Loved going with water - I had no idea that would work!! I also loved the tape look, especially the torn edges (yeah, that was before you added the topper, but I saw and loved it!).
Gees you’re brilliant! Jennifer mcGuire mentioned you in an interview I heard recently saying she thinks the gals who make simple more artsey cards like you are creating like she can’t do. I totally agree. I love your style. I just try snd try but can’t make them come out attractive like yours. Well I could “ if I totally copied yours” but that doesn’t get it! Hats off to you and keep inspiring us to try.
My jaw dropped when you used the WOW'd stencil as a "stamp" - liked that result even better than pouncing thru it. Thanks, AS ALWAYS, for the great tips, Laurel!
Love these ideas, I have a ton of powders to use! And yay for Flexi desks! I have back issues, and intermittently work from home, so we got a flexispot desk a few months ago, with the idea that when I don’t need it for work anymore, I can use it in my craft room! Woot!
Wow, you are living the best life now with the cool desk. Who even knew????? Loved the video- one can stamp for years, but there is always someone smart like you will show us something new. Lots of new techniques. Much appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving.
I love your videos and creative ideas. You are such a joy to watch and listen to. I am about to order the desk, but I'm trying to decide on a size. Can you tell me which desk you ordered? I am using your links today because it is BLACK FRIDAY. WOO HOO.
I have always felt that embossing powders are magical. It never fails to give me a thrill to see the powder change right before my eyes.
Messy stencil covered with versa mark through the Big Shot to emboss upon…I NEVER would have thought of that! Outstanding!
HAHAHA! I never clean my stencils. Oh the shame...
that "oooooooo" wasn't unnecessary - sound effects are the BEST when you're heat embossing. that desk is coool!! great ideas. now i'm gonna go play with my powders
I LOVE watching it "dry"!!!! Doesn't everybody? When it begins to change into MAGICAL beauty 🌹
I haha have a stack of coloured embossing powders I should pull out and play with. Thanks for the inspiration.
