This video cost me a lot of money. After watching it about a thousand times, I bought a 2013 ZL1 coupe. Yessir - this thing is fast and I do feel like a boss when driving it. Best purchase I’ve ever made. Thanks Matt!
And you can lay waste to all the immature Challenger and Charger owners around the country that think they are the Kings of the road, and want to race every car they see. Dodge must be the official car brand for men with small penises LOL
Glad you enjoyed the car man! I agree, the interior is drastically improved from when the car first came out. I sat it in it as the motor trend show and just said to myself quietly "thank god" Still can't see out of it with my short self though haha. Good review.
Watching this in 2024. Best review I’ve found so far man. Your energy is unmatched. I hope you’re doing well, and still doing something that showcases your awesome personality.
i know this is an old video, and i watch your current ones, but i just want to say, you're the best car reviewer anywhere, period. #1 bro. you're the truth.
I dislike when people say Camaro's are everywhere, so are Mustangs, so are Challengers. Car companies are in the market of making money that means to sell cars to as many people as possible.
I felt your enthusiasm through the screen on this one. Wow, I'm all hyped up just from watching this. Remain genuine, man.. makes your car reviews worth watching. Was this really a 15min video? Never even noticed.
So happy you reviewed a newer Camaro. Ever since 2012 Chevy has really stepped it up with these Camaros and has improved on most of the complaints you pointed out in the 2010 RS. I mean the V6's have been bumped up 20HP and more than that in torque and also have that new steering wheel and much more tight suspension.
Great video! I own a 2013 Manual black ZL1 as well, its the most amazing car ever. I traded in my shelby gt500 for the ZL1 and never looked back. Sure it has less HP but the feel of the ZL1 is amazing, plus the handling. The shelby was nice.. however to much hp and not enough handling.. This guy's face was pricless... thats like me everytime I gass it! Some people like to do drugs and drink... but everytime I let loose on my ZL1 I feel amazing, such a rush!
Hassy Ali yeah I agree with you about that they should put a digital boost gauge on the HUD but the reason it is in the center counsel like that is because its a throw back to the old late 60's camaro rally package.
Great video! I can see how the ZL1 would make you giddy! I have this same car,2013 ZL1 but mine is black and I have the automatic which was a tough decision for me but Im more than happy with it! I can put it in manual and shift with the paddle shifter anytime I want.lots of low end tork! Plenty of compliments everywhere I go. I totally agree with the location of the boost gauge.they should have incorporated it in the HUD feature. My friend says its like riding in a "bunker" with the low cut windows but Im getting used to that and the somewhat restricted visability from inside.hey.its worth it! When I purchased this car it had around 3700 miles on it and I got a very good price.Moonroof, magnetic ride suspension, traction control, backup camera, remote start, bluetooth, sirius radio,onstar,supercharger,580 hp and plus its blazing fast! more than happy with this car! Love it!
It's always amusing to see a person that normally drives 4-bangers finally drive a V8. They almost always get hit with the visceral excitement that makes V8s so much fun; like a kid with a brand new toy. LOL No other engine can provide that throaty, guttural note that a V8 can; not a V12, not a V10, and especially not a V6 or 4-banger. That authoritative, yet effortless acceleration is pure addiction. The V8 engine is by far one of the best things to ever happen in the automotive ethos. And considering the fact it can be scaled to make as much or as little HP as any other engine out there, it's probably THE best engine ever with regards to passenger/street vehicles.
My buddy's looking at a '13 stick, pristine, 5k miles, an extended warranty is being offered by a dealer from a company called Elite. This video sold him on trying to ink the deal Monday. I was insisting he ponder a new 2SS stick for close to the same price, but I see the attraction to the ZL1, This video has me wanting one too now!
This is my favorite review of the Zed. I own a '14 Zed in this color, but I can't get over how much you enjoyed this car! It makes me look forward to driving mine when the weather gets better.
My first reaction was to make a comment poking fun at you for getting so giddy when you first get on it. Then I realized I probably would have the same giddy looking face. I'm very jealous you got to drive this car lol. Good review too!
Probably the best review I've seen...I usually stay away from muscle cars but your video and your excitement is making me turn! Lol but really great video! I like the intro!
I feel ya! I have the same ride as you, 2012 v6 manual. I'm saving my pennies to buy the drivetrain from a totaled ZL1. The ultimate sleeper, ZL1 in an LS base model. No one would ever suspect it. No menacing look from the outside but it's all under the hood.
In all of the Camaro reviews, he always refers the view as sitting in a tank. Imo it's more like sitting in the cockpit of a jet fighter. I love my 2012! Turns heads everywhere I go.
LOVED this review Matt ! I hope I can finally drive some american muscle next time I'm in the states :) Please keep the reviews coming, you do such an awesome job !
That's one of your best reviews yet; the intro was really well done, and your WOT reactions are always hilarious. And I'm glad to see you've changed your mind on the Camaro. Also, holy crap the ZL1 looks unbelievably sinister in that paint scheme.
Just a suggestion, if you could find and do a review on the 1998-2001 Subaru impreza 2.5rs that would awesome i would love to hear your thoughts on that car
Jared Tate Well cause he does car reviews if you didn't notice and he is also a Subaru fan, the 2.5rs is the only Good Subaru he hasn't done a review on yet. I'm Sure is because a Stock one is extremely hard to come by, most of them now are swapped with wrx or STi motors now
I would love to review a 2.5rs! And your comment got 9 thumbs up too so it sounds like several other people want me to review one. If I can find one to review I definitely will!
love the review! I was a little heart broken after the 2010 review as you were not much of a fan but i knew the changes they made in 2012 addressed many of the issues and glad to hear it was noticed. Probably one of my favorite reviews yet!
Finally an honest review. I have a 2011 stick but not ZL1. They are fun to drive. Waiting next the see what the 2016s look like and may get another one.
I love watching your reactions! That probably sounds weird but I start laughing and smiling because I would be doing the same thing! Gotta love cars and their excitement!
Oh Matt you filmed my favorite us muscle car it's my dream car since the new SS came out and wanna drive it some day... maybe on the German autobahn because they have much better roads for long rides and pulls! love every single part of the car, the new interiors have been improved and that's great! plus gotta love the intro.. gonna download it for sure and play it in my SAAB 93. ONCE AGAIN AWESOME REVIEW!!!!!! GO CHEVYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!
I've found that when the sun is at a certain angle (evening and morning) the sun reflects off of the heads up display onto the windshield and the visors are not wide enough to shield from the sun in late evening and early morning. They don't extend or have extensions. I've also found the positioning of the accelerator with regard to my leg to be less than comfortable on all day trips on the freeway. Thoughts?
Mustangs are boring, quit commenting your nonsense on here, every fucking comment you're butting in saying that over and over again, GET THE FUCK OVER IT, I'm not even a Camaro guy and you're getting fucking annoying with your lack of knowledge to say anything else, who cares? Who are you again? Why do you care? Oh yeah, all mustang guys can't prove themselves with their cars so they gotta spew shit out of their mouths constantly, you guys are fucking pussies, how about you sell whatever mustang you have and take on some other hobby, you clearly have no self control to be a moronic tool.
Very nice review. Your reviews and thatdudeinblue give reviews that show true feeling and emotion. I can tell by the body language, facial expressions, and pure excitement that you mean it when you review these cars. By the way I sense you may be a muscle car guy at heart. lol.
This video honestly put a smile on my face, great review, seemed like you had genuinely good time with this car. This is basically my dream car so hopefully one day I will be able to buy this awesome car :D
Love the videos. I'm going to test drive a ZL1 tomorrow. It has the semi automatic. Am I missing much compared to the manual? Also was thinking for the longest on an BMW M3 E92. Hope I make the right decision. Ugh.
Hey if you ever decided to get rid or your mini I recommend a 2004 wrx I've had mine sense October and couldn't be happier with the car gets great mpg is fast and handles extremely good
I really think this is the best looking Camaro since the original first gen from the 60's (imo). I hope this gen becomes a classic as the the first is. I enjoy your enthusiasm during the review as well!
What I don't understand is where did this paint come from? When I ordered my '13 ZL1 in 2012 there were no blues available. Initially 5th generation Camaros had 2 blues to choose from but they were quickly discontinued. I settled for Victory Red but would have picked this color given the opportunity. I know they brought back blue for the Gen 6 cars. I had my ZL1 for 8 years. I agree with your assessment of the driving experience. This was the best vehicle purchase I ever made. The video brought back some awesome memories!
i have the V6..honetly it is a man's car...that's the first thing i said after driving it...the steering is heavy and the kick when you gas it is very strong even with a V6...and a plus is that it's actually not as bad on gas...
Something of note about the trunk space. The trunk is surprisingly larger than you think. But the opening is so oddly shaped due to the tail lights that it makes getting larger things into it somewhat of a chore sometimes. And once you get stuff in there you're playing Tetris sliding it all around so you can wiggle the next item in. This has not been a major problem for me but has frustrated me more than a few times.
This video cost me a lot of money. After watching it about a thousand times, I bought a 2013 ZL1 coupe. Yessir - this thing is fast and I do feel like a boss when driving it. Best purchase I’ve ever made. Thanks Matt!
Is it a good daily ?
@@Drosflow great daily. Except for mpgs… but worth it!
Yep, he sold me on it too 3 years ago.
And you can lay waste to all the immature Challenger and Charger owners around the country that think they are the Kings of the road, and want to race every car they see. Dodge must be the official car brand for men with small penises LOL
What year did you buy? I’m looking into 2015 because I love that gen’s front
I'm here just to see his acceleration reaction lol
Me too
+Dean M And look you got three of them.
his face looks like he shit him self
😂😂😂😂 Hella funny
8:30
when you've been holding in that shit for too long and it comes out faster than expected
once again, your reactions do not disappoint!!
Tj Hunt tbt
Tj Hunt perv
look where youre at now since this comment🥺
THA BOY TEEJ wassup brotha !!
Glad you enjoyed the car man! I agree, the interior is drastically improved from when the car first came out. I sat it in it as the motor trend show and just said to myself quietly "thank god"
Still can't see out of it with my short self though haha. Good review.
How tall are you? :D
Lol, I know how you feel, I'm 5'2. This is my dream car and I can't even see out of it either.
I sat in a normal SS and that dash is sooo high!
Thanks man!
SLarson im 6'2 and it was a pain besides 2013+ 5.0's with boltons and a driver mod will beat a zl1
Watching this in 2024. Best review I’ve found so far man. Your energy is unmatched. I hope you’re doing well, and still doing something that showcases your awesome personality.
"All that stupid crap that no one cares about" Most honest review ever.
"Let's turn onto this backroad........." We know what's coming ;)
DigitalHaze65536 yessss haha
Your face is priceless when you get on it😂
i know this is an old video, and i watch your current ones, but i just want to say, you're the best car reviewer anywhere, period. #1 bro. you're the truth.
I dislike when people say Camaro's are everywhere, so are Mustangs, so are Challengers. Car companies are in the market of making money that means to sell cars to as many people as possible.
Agreed, it is a very stupid argument
Since I got my 14 I see lots of Camaros now
69 Camaros were everywhere too. They were popular cars.
Mustangs are common than camaros and challengers, mustangs are like assholes everybody has one
Cam Brady 012 Thats true but keep in mind that chevy and dodge stop production and that is why you see a lot of those 1998-2009 mustangs.
I just bought mine today, 2012 with 13,461 miles on it today!! Drives fast and smooth
Owning this car is on my goal list ... once my truck is paid for, I'll be saving and hunting for a ZL1.
I drove my dad's ZL1 this past Sunday and OMG it is a beast for sure!
i love when you get faster cars to review the reactions are too great. great review again, ZL1 is underrated around here, needs more marketing.
Your initial "Whats up everybody" gets me every time man! Keep up the awesome reviews!
Also I agree one thing I dislike about the ZL1 is the boost is in a horrible spot. If they put the boost on the HUD (heads up display)
Hassy Ali yeah I agree with you about that they should put a digital boost gauge on the HUD but the reason it is in the center counsel like that is because its a throw back to the old late 60's camaro rally package.
Try a gt350 next!! I bet they have really come a long way
Hassy Ali where are you from? New Jersey?
Coming back to this video after owning my 2013 auto zl1 for almost 2 years now. Absolutely love this car
Love it!
Tell me everything about your car? Because when i get through paying for my 13 RS ima trade it in for a 2013 ZL1 how is automatic on it?
It's always amusing to see a person that normally drives 4-bangers finally drive a V8. They almost always get hit with the visceral excitement that makes V8s so much fun; like a kid with a brand new toy. This kid is hilarious! Nice to see the younger gens appreciate speed - great reviews, keep up the great work!!
the progression your channel has gone through this past year has been amazing. Good work.
I like how this guy is always excited at every start of his video reviews hahhaha.. makes you want to tune in more
Awesome spot on review. Seen this years ago when I first got my ZL1 just now commenting. It’s an exceptionally special car.
Production levels are getting better. Good job.
The best shape and the most beautiful design Camaro 2013 only , I love camaro 2013 I love the old design , who agrees with me
The 2012 ZL1 Its the end and begin. Just a Legend...
Same, I like to come back to this video because it's one of my dream cars this year and model.
You can tell he really enjoys this car and his reviews good job man!
I am impressed too, you took that turn that you "always take" just as fast as the ultra handling machine Ford Fous sedan. Wow, simply WOW.
Your reactions to the acceleration are one of the top reasons I watch your videos hahaha
7:04 convinced me to buy one - BEST PURCHASE I EVER MADE!
Kevin Sheets what’s your update on the car?
Kevin Sheets ?
True petrolhead reviewing a muscle car! Amazing review, you're doing good!
Very enthusiastic start today Matt lol. This car is awesome!
I'm so happy you did a ZL1 review! I've been a die hard camaro fan since I was little!
come to daytona and this is the only car you see
...and I thought my V6 3.6L 323 HP Camaro was fast...this thing is crazy fast and powerful.
One of your best reviews, nice job and your facial expressions every time you stood on it were great
This is my favorite review of the Zed. I own a '14 Zed in this color, but I can't get over how much you enjoyed this car! It makes me look forward to driving mine when the weather gets better.

Probably the best review I've seen...I usually stay away from muscle cars but your video and your excitement is making me turn! Lol but really great video! I like the intro!
God I want one of these cars so badly. I have a 2012 v6 manual, which is a ton of fun in it's own right, but this car is the Camaro perfected imo.
I feel ya! I have the same ride as you, 2012 v6 manual. I'm saving my pennies to buy the drivetrain from a totaled ZL1. The ultimate sleeper, ZL1 in an LS base model. No one would ever suspect it. No menacing look from the outside but it's all under the hood.
Best part of your videos is watching your reaction
In all of the Camaro reviews, he always refers the view as sitting in a tank. Imo it's more like sitting in the cockpit of a jet fighter. I love my 2012! Turns heads everywhere I go.
That was your best backroad reaction yet
man the sound of this car sounds like a tiger! my favourite car of them all! much better than the challenger in terms of its looks
LOVED this review Matt ! I hope I can finally drive some american muscle next time I'm in the states :) Please keep the reviews coming, you do such an awesome job !
Thanks Guido! I appreciate it! Hope you can make a trip to the states soon!
subaruwrxfan how tall are u
+Malik Walker I think from one of his reviews he said he was like 5"9
That's one of your best reviews yet; the intro was really well done, and your WOT reactions are always hilarious. And I'm glad to see you've changed your mind on the Camaro. Also, holy crap the ZL1 looks unbelievably sinister in that paint scheme.
loved the face you where making when you where revving the car. nice review man!
awesome car.
I love how you said it feels like a tank! My buddy had an ss and we called it "the tank" haha you literally made my day saying that
Just a suggestion, if you could find and do a review on the 1998-2001 Subaru impreza 2.5rs that would awesome i would love to hear your thoughts on that car
why ?
Jared Tate Well cause he does car reviews if you didn't notice and he is also a Subaru fan, the 2.5rs is the only Good Subaru he hasn't done a review on yet. I'm Sure is because a Stock one is extremely hard to come by, most of them now are swapped with wrx or STi motors now

subaruwrxfan Awesome that would be great cant wait
Now it's 21 likes lol
danm im a jdm guy but this camaro looks so good! nice job murica
That was one well editing video! How did you do the 0:29 effect? The name of the effect? Editing program? Thanks! Cheers:)
I think he switched his camera lense to manual focus, so he can focus in and out when he wants to in order to create that effect. Hope this helps.
Dylan Petersen No I think he just refocused it because I have the same camera and it does the same thing whenever you focus it while videoing.
Well either way it was still a nice effect.
Dylan Petersen indeed
YerrowNoodle I think he's talking about the flashing.
His acceleration reactions are the best! 8:35
love the review! I was a little heart broken after the 2010 review as you were not much of a fan but i knew the changes they made in 2012 addressed many of the issues and glad to hear it was noticed. Probably one of my favorite reviews yet!
Your reactions when you speed up are priceless...good review man!
Finally an honest review. I have a 2011 stick but not ZL1. They are fun to drive. Waiting next the see what the 2016s look like and may get another one.
Epic car, just reviewed the convertible of this car. Very fun to drive
I love watching your reactions! That probably sounds weird but I start laughing and smiling because I would be doing the same thing! Gotta love cars and their excitement!
I cracked up as soon as you said "Whats up" your hand gestures already letting us know that you were amped. Haha great review man!
So it's spectacular them...
You're excitement is infectious and fun to watch.
Thanks! Glad you think so!
I really like your reviews, you can tell you enjoy cars as much as me. Good job, keep it up
My dream car
I've found that when the sun is at a certain angle (evening and morning) the sun reflects off of the heads up display onto the windshield and the visors are not wide enough to shield from the sun in late evening and early morning. They don't extend or have extensions. I've also found the positioning of the accelerator with regard to my leg to be less than comfortable on all day trips on the freeway. Thoughts?
As i can say as i drove a zl1 today, the shifter isnt heavy at all, but the clutch is very heavy but light enough for everyday driving.
I will be getting a 2012 zl1 on my 25th birthday💪🏻 keep pushin y’all
Love your reviews bro! Really want the ZL1 now! Thanks again!
Youre like a kid in a candy store every time you review a car hahaha.. loving the enthusiasm :)
That exhaust system sounds incredible! I'm sad that I don't have one. :(
I'm a mustang guy but the camaro does have a meaner look than the mustangs
No way. these camaros are ugly and fat looking.
WolfofGDAX no but your opinion is though
No doubt! 5th gen Camaros looks so angry!
Coming from a mustang owner ☹
They're big, scary and sophisticated.
Great review once again ! I love the evolution of the reviews in just a year, the camera shots and editing are better every time, keep it up !
"Thick and meaty"
Ou you naughty boy
Very nice review. Your reviews and thatdudeinblue give reviews that show true feeling and emotion. I can tell by the body language, facial expressions, and pure excitement that you mean it when you review these cars. By the way I sense you may be a muscle car guy at heart. lol.
All things like, boot, and all the interior stuff is exactly what you want in a review :) btw tjis review was just spectacular
This video honestly put a smile on my face, great review, seemed like you had genuinely good time with this car. This is basically my dream car so hopefully one day I will be able to buy this awesome car :D
I'm quite happy with the new Camaros. The interiors are better especially the smaller shifter. I used to call the old shifter the "baseball."
this is probably one of the best intros you made.
#camaronation
from 7:06 to 7:22 is the exact reason you buy this car. It's that feeling you get
hey subaruwrxfan, you and thatdudeinblue are killing the intros bro
That was a really good review of the car!, especially when you first accelerated and it lost traction. Cool vid man!.
You by far do the best car reviews I've seen lol
Love the videos. I'm going to test drive a ZL1 tomorrow. It has the semi automatic. Am I missing much compared to the manual? Also was thinking for the longest on an BMW M3 E92. Hope I make the right decision. Ugh.
dude, wtf how did you get into one of these!!!!!
awesome review
He is really excited at the beginning
That steering wheel is in basically every Chevy car now and days the Equinox, Malibu, impala’s I think the blazer to very creative Chevy Nice zl1 tho.
I enjoy your enthusiasm during the review as well!

i have the V6..honetly it is a man's car...that's the first thing i said after driving it...the steering is heavy and the kick when you gas it is very strong even with a V6...and a plus is that it's actually not as bad on gas...
one of your best reviews
I like how much fun he has.
One thing is you should wind out first gear more before shifting.
I'm a mustang guy aswell but I got a buddy who going to give me this car if I take over the payments. I honestly can't wait.
That feeling when you skip perfectly to the 'lets turn onto this back road' part
haha ive never seen him so giddy during a review. Good job man the car seems great.
Awesome. Actually went to a dealer to lokms at this car today . truly amazing
I usually don't like camaros but I would definitely drive this one.
This has not been a major problem for me but has frustrated me more than a few times.
great review man! now I am planning to buy that car because of you!
