Not true at all, you can get a SS 1LE or GT pp pack for mid 30's. This is a special vehicle which is basically a trans am car built for the street. This isn't intended to be purchased by people who want a muscle car though . You don't buy a muscle car for carbon ceramic brakes or spool suspension, or track prowess.

The cinematic style introduction to the car, but then it just suddenly drops all music to you just standing there next to the car, keep the music, but quieter, and have more camera angles, it makes me feel like I'm watching an infomercial from the 80's!

The 5th gen z28 is by far the best looking version of the Camaro. More attractive than any 6th gen. If only they could've kept the look of this car with all the benefits of the 6th gen design.

This is especially the case for the Z06...this car is counter establishment, attitude on four wheels, and if you dont like open rebellion with the smell of tire smoke and a car that can cover hot laps at Leguna Seca than that is truly your own fault. This car wakes up in the morning ready to fead on pretentiousness. Car design is supposed to evoke a response and if that means you hate it, then just as many people will love it. I would rather a car's design be devisive to the enthusiast community than it take Zero risks. Its the price of moving forward and evolving Icons that have existed for 35 years or more. I get tired of hearing Euro snobbery, yes I love the same cars you do, but you dont have to put us in the interigation room behind a one way mirror for liking or even loving cars beyond the scope of what you deem respectable. Much like the early years of car developement we are quitly living in an age of wonders, where there is a progressive power war, accelerated tecnological developement and overall tremendous growth going on around us as we speak, respect it and move on if you choose not to stay.
Mark my worde the Corvette Z06 will be putting a lot of cars on their heels by the end of this following year, the Stingray makes an excelent platform for more extreme additions, and before I hear the outcry of hate and bigited responsed towards the Stingray, most Euro magazinge either wrote glowing reviews or positive ones. Also consider this, that the Covette is one of the last bastions of the manual gearbox, that in and of itself deserves respect.

Almost 80 grand for a Camaro? Bit overpriced considering it's just a restyled Holden Commodore with an old stock Z06 motor in it.. Z/28 must've gone to the Porsche school of selling you less car for more money!! LOL! The only reason it manages impressive lap times is thanks to the ENORMOUS and enormously sticky cup tires on it.. Put normal sized, normal tires on it and it's lap times would be mediocre. If I was into Camaros, I'd save the money and go with an SS or ZL-1.. Then strip it out and put the cup tires on myself, ending up with a car that's almost as fast or faster, for less.

I remember driving a rwd and hitting a wet spot or driving in the rain and fishtailing my car was scary. Isn't the Camaro going to have more of the same problems because its nose heavy (front mounted engine) and rwd? As opposed to mid engine rwd supercars which have the weight over the rear wheels to minimize fishtailing?

Al Oppenheiser, the Camaro chief engineer said the reason why the 2014 ZL1 did not get the front fascia update like the rest of the Camaro models is because of cooling purposes for the supercharged LSA engine. However, it did get the rear fascia update like the other models.

Actually they did a test with the 1Le Camaro tires on it and the car actually had better times, so tires is not a huge advantage as it seems.

This car just looks thrown together to me, like it was designed by 2 different people or a 13 year old kid.

Jesse Deptula I think the problem with this car is the design was kind of tired by the time the actual car came out. I think the styling is OK but I prefer Mustang.

I think the taillights are a bit ugly, and that the ones in the previous gen were much better. I'd film them if I got the new Camaro.

yeah but these cars are made to take abuse. you can push em when they are new just dont do it ALL the time. atleast he waited for everything to be up to temperature before trying anything. my step father hit the rev limiter on his 2016 wrx from a deadcold stop. made me cringe.

I would love to get a fifth generation base Camaro with six speed manual with the LS7 7.0 liter V8 with after market cold air intake, exhaust, black gloss rims, racing tires, etc. That would be an nice muscle combination!

I'd still take the z-l1 over this simply because of the supercharger whine when your given er' hell on the throttle.
I heard that those tires have little traction until they are up to racing temps, did you notice any issues with putting the power down?
Good cruiser? Maybe if your cruise last less than 20 mins. On the highway, exhaust and wind noise are really high.
