I love my 2013 Zl1 ! I’ve had it for 3 years and plan on keeping it forever. Yes they are a bit heavier than a mustang but a bit lighter than a hellcat. Once you mod it, it doesn’t feel as heavy at all!
Nice! Epic car to own and yea this thing feels like it weighs 20 lbs when you get on the throttle just breathing on the throttle i was doing like 70 lol
It definitely is! And yea Camaros and Miatas are my two most favorite obtainable sports cars currently out. Really like the regular SS models but the ZL1s are just next level nutty haha thanks again for watching!
Hi, I saw this in my feed and had to comment. I have almost 190000 miles on my 2013 ZL1, so you have a ways to go to dethrone me, but you are right on the cheapest because I wouldn't sell mine for that little. If anybody is considering this car, I can tell you that at 190k, I'm still on the original clutch and the everything is still solid. $26k is a steal for the kind of performance you'll get and you can spend the saving on mods, though it looks like this one has a few already.
Hows maintenance? Has anything broken down? Im close to pull the trigger on one. I keep cars for a really long time. What preventive maintenance do you reccomend?
That’s awesome! I just got one with 53k on it right now so I guess it will last a while still. Anything else you can tell me about the life of the car or things you encountered? I love mine and want to keep it a long time
It’s amazing how far the Camaro’s have come. I think even the SS 1LE for me would be good enough. It would be a ticket magnet going ZL1 you surely have to restrain yourself as you say.
Yea 1SS will be amazing for sure no issues there and thats the model I recommend to most. And yea this ZL1 was nutty I know it didn't seem like much but the few short pulls I did in this car was like 60-70 mph instantly lol that's why I kept letting off 😅
i have a 13 ss 1LE, i love it, it gets to 60 very fast but one thing i wish it had was that beautifulll supercharger whine!! other than that is a perfect car. mine is black on black
This is literally my favorite and dream car . I turn 16 next year and I’m already studying for my drivers license. I hope that by next year I will be able to afford this car ❤️
Ive owned a 2013 Camaro for 11 years now its a V6 stick shift and its always a blast to drive. had it since day 1 and still going strong. Done some tasteful mods throughout the years to keep things fresh.
Another great review. I've driven this and the new Zl1. Interestingly, the Zl1s feel beastly/torquey and extremely buttoned down, heavy and grippy on how they move down the road-- like a RWD Nissan GTR. The older GT500 felt rubbish (wanted to kill me) but sounded amazing. Haven't driven the new one. Weridly enough though, I didn't have as much fun with the Camaros. The visibility is hard for me (I have a short torso and long legs). Additionally, the Mustangs feel more "awake" and "lively" due to the revvy engine and better visibility, like a big Honda. Lol. I'm talking about the PP1 GTs and GT350s, esp if u modify some of the rubber bushings to give you more road feel. Vettes and Camaros are very reliable. If I had to own, I'd take a new Zl1 any day over the GT350 because the latter has a problematic engine. I also prefer the Camaro over prior Vettes, haven't driven the C8. Ultimately though, as you said, hard to do the higher po versions justice almost anywhere in the US (and I even autocross occasionally) so I think the GTPP1 is the all rounder (like the GTI is for hot hatches) and what I'd pick and for those who are track rats the SS 1LE.. 😂
Excellent points my friend, yea I still love Mustangs and still believe they offer the most charismatic motor in the class, that 5.0l coyote. So much fun to wring out and is why I still recommend it. And yes it is more practical than the Camaro. Thanks again for watching!
I absolutely loved this video 😄, the Camaro is my all time favorite car (because of Transformers of course). If I had the chance to get a 5th gen Camaro that looked exactly like the Can a to for Bumblebee in Dark of the Moon I'd pick it over any other car, I do wish they were the same price or lower as the Mustangs. But awesome video of course this was one of my favorites
Yea transformers really put this car on the map for sure. Yea I've seen a few Transformers edition cars on the road but I believe they are V6s lol thanks again brother for your support
I own a 2019 2LT RS 2.0 turbo I4 with the 8 speed auto in Crush Orange. It's fully loaded with leather, tech package and sun roof. It comes in at 3300 lbs and let me just say in no way is it a "muscle car" but as a daily driver sport coupe it's perfect for me. It handles like nothing I've ever driven and I'm driving past gas stations watching all those Challengers and Mustangs stopped for fuel. For those that knock the turbo 4 I'll just say the get up and go is there when you want it and the light weight really helps. People compliment the car everyday. Chevy got it right with the 6th gen platform.
Have a 2ss bone stock....400 hp and the torque does for me. lol auto but still a great pull. Im 65 btw... Had a 70 chevelle back in the day (396) couldn't keep it a straight line... was fun anyway...thank god I'm still alive
Yea oh my gosh this car is so insane cant even go through all the gears, it didn't look like much but everything I got on it in those brief moments I was doing nearly 70 mph lol
In my neck of the woods. Sorta I live in Jacksonville NC. I was car shopping about 2 years ago since my Genesis Coupe 3.8 was getting up there in miles, trying to decide between a Camaro SS, Kia Stinger GT2, Veloster N, GR Corolla, or a Type R. Well, I decided on a new 23 Elantra N last year since I could get it for $35k, with the 100k warranty. Most of the other cars I was looking to get were over $40k, used. Still love that ZL1 and that is a good price, even with those miles .
Awesome video. I wondered how this car would perform after 100k miles. The only complaint i have came up with in my 2013 zl1 was the cup holders positioning it being 6 speed.
Ahh yes that can pose a problem when living with the car not as much of an issue for the automatics but we know we can only have this as a manual lol. Yea it held up great pulled like a new car although this did have some additional mods. Thanks again for stopping by
@@MeynMotorGroup I'm very confused as to why manual vs automatic? I want a 5th gen zl1 and I'm just getting into muscle cars.im close to paying off my 2014 camaro 5th gen it's an automatic lol

I would take my rebuilt title 14 drop top for the same money. I only have 21k on mine and never has been in an accident. It got rained in so insurance totaled it. I bought it out of state and drove it home. I put new gm carpet in it an a seat switch in it. Bought it with 3,300 miles on it.

I have a 2011 SS/RS SLP ZL454. Has 32xxx miles on it love it but I'm having problems with the stabletrak needing work on it. It's saying service stabletrak and a pic of a wrench. I was wondering what the problem is so if anyone has had problems with it please let me what it took to fix it....thanks
That mileage means absolutely nothing if the car was properly maintained. My 2010 SS has 173k miles on it and drives better than new, although I've spent a small fortune to get it that way. Also isn't on the original engine, so there's that. But original engine had 153k miles on it, and I only replaced it because it hydro locked through no fault of it's own. Cylinders still had beautiful cross hatching, with minimal oil staining. Most dependable car I've ever owned.
I only have 32000 miles on my 2013 ZL1 - awesome for me to see one 100K on. Driving mine every day to the office. It’s a delight. And the tire pressure monitor already failed on mine too once, guess it’s a common weakness.
i love Camaro's BUT my 2014 2SS ,.. Motor locked up for NO reason , I am saving to have the motor rebuilt and to find out why it seized up , never took it to the track , never mod' ed the car up , drove it as my daily driver and it hurts to see it sitting until i get the motor rebuilt
@@Inferno45 Yeah , i will be soon , gonna get the current motor rebuilt so I can know what happened and it will be cheaper than buying a crate motor and I'll know what happened and why because it locked up at 70k miles as well , that's what so crazy
This is the predicament I’m in. I’m ready to spend 40-45k on one but would you buy a low mileage 5th gen zl1 or a sixth gen ss 1le? I’ve always wanted a zl1 but I don’t know which would be the “better” choice between the two
Honestly I wouldn't bother with the used market. I would just get a 2023/2024 brand new LT1 V8 Camaro & negotiate 5% off MSRP and get a new car fully under warranty instead of buying someone else's problem at an inflated markup
Exhaust Sports Auto yeah I will probably keep it until it doesn’t run anymore same orange inferno like the ZL1 but just an SS but I love it man it has been a very reliable car to me and I don’t baby it lol 😉
@@MeynMotorGroup Not sure why dealerships do that, I get its no big deal for the average corolla customer. But I was very bummed when I picked up my 5.0 and the front bumper was drilled, first thing I did was fix those holes. Great review though about to much the jump on either a '13 zl1 or an '09 z06
Oh man that's crazy but at least you got it fixed. Those are some awesome choices I think you will love both, for street driving the Z06 might be more usable but the ZL1 is just nutty really a supercar experience. Best of luck and stay blessed
In many ways I agree the Camaro is truly superior to the mustang in every way and Im not trying to be a fan boy about it. The best attribute of the Mustang is the 5.0l engine it has a lot of character but thats about it. Trnasmission, handling, communication, everything else driving wise is superior in the Camaros and why BMW is dead to me because Camaros also ride really well unlike the luxury branded BMW. You have no idea what the 4 corners of a mustang is doing which is why so many people spin out or crash them. And although the Camaros motor may not be as charismatic, I quickly found out that a quality exhaust really changes things on the camaro. Love the new one with an NPP factory exhaust amazing stuff. Enjoy the ride sir
No lol its ok but the tremec manual is just incredible in these Camaros just completes the package but yea I would still recommend a warranty I think some Camaros had diff issues but still very cheap to run compared to some euro crap and it has legit performance
What was GM thinking when they put those stupid reverse lights in the middle of the bumper like that? My 2 year old could have designed it better than that

Cylinders still had beautiful cross hatching, with minimal oil staining. Most dependable car I've ever owned.
I have 115k on my ss and still drives like it’s brand new
Dream car...
Yea its amazing!
You will get one some day ✊I have the 2018 Camaro SS and it took me a while to buy it. You can get anything if you put your mind and work into it ✊🇺🇸
Mileage never makes a car😊
I've come to find that out!
Definitely not buying this but I love watching your reviews binge worthy RUclips 💯
Haha no worries my friend but thank you so much for your support saying my content is binge worthy means the world to me appreciate it!
Music to my ears😍
Holyshit I got ear rapped when that thing roared 😂😂😂😂
Sound was pretty unbelievable
I'm shopping for a ZL1 camaro convertible. I'll probably wait till the 1st of the year.
Nice
Gawd what the hell happened to that key fob but great review it has 130k after you had fun in it 😂👍🏼
Yea idk what happened there haha fortunately it still worked 😅
I have a 2010 camaro v6 and those key fobs just don’t hold up well, my fob super molested too😂
I only have 32000 miles on my 2013 ZL1 - awesome for me to see one 100K on. Driving mine every day to the office. It’s a delight. And the tire pressure monitor already failed on mine too once, guess it’s a common weakness.
On all camaro lol
Lol I have a 2SS & mine just went out the other day
Ford or Chevy, the TPMS monitor inside the tire are all the same. They will only last about 10 years at best.
Hade one 2010 sold in 2015 whit 245 000 it was a blast
Love these n the 2021 zl1s
I think you mean to say, "please turn the volume up"
It was well cared for at the mileage
I daily my zl1. plan on replacing the mag ride shocks every 40,000 miles. No cheap either
Yea part of the costs of ownership worth it tho resale value is great drives like nothing else
Sounds about badass🥰
It was incredible for sure!
Creeping up on 120k mi. These cars can get you in trouble when ACDC comes on🎉😊
Damn 131K at 8 mpg at @$2.50 a gallon. 131,000÷8= 16,375 gallons x$2.5= $40,937 in gas alone.
Niceeeeee could have bought another Camaro lol
Well when you say it Like that😂😂😂🤯
These damn things are so cheap still! Fffugging love it!!! 🥰🥰🥰
What’s the difference between the 6SS 1LE and the ZL1 I’ve heard that the 6SS smashes it in a track and in a quarter of a mile ?
Nah it’s probably faster around a track, but in a straight line? No
5th or 6th gen ZL1? Because a 6th gen ZL1 will smash just about anything in the strip or track
i love Camaro's BUT my 2014 2SS ,.. Motor locked up for NO reason , I am saving to have the motor rebuilt and to find out why it seized up , never took it to the track , never mod' ed the car up , drove it as my daily driver and it hurts to see it sitting until i get the motor rebuilt
That sucks man....but its still beautiful car. I hope you can fix it and enjoy it again.
@@Inferno45 Yeah , i will be soon , gonna get the current motor rebuilt so I can know what happened and it will be cheaper than buying a crate motor and I'll know what happened and why because it locked up at 70k miles as well , that's what so crazy
@@theblackboxpodcastshow1791 just do it yourself smh these engines are simple asf man look at RUclips and get your hands dirty
I had a 2010 1SS. The biggest issue I had was the rear main seal had to be replaced. Ordered it new, had the car 3 years.
Give the dealer a heads up. The rear wheels are aftermarket junk wheels. They are not the same as the factory forged wheels.
Oh well they been sold this car lol
Calling yourself a doctor when there's no scientific support for chiropractors
3.9 0-60 is nice
It's a chevy baby 😍
Yes indeed Chivy boys unite
That is definitely a 300k key fob lmao
My v6 at 132k is still in great condition
Yea GM performance cars hold up good but still super happy to hear that!
Your eyes darting around looking for cops hhaha
Yup haha sooo many in my area won't even let me go through all the gears 😅
This is the predicament I’m in. I’m ready to spend 40-45k on one but would you buy a low mileage 5th gen zl1 or a sixth gen ss 1le? I’ve always wanted a zl1 but I don’t know which would be the “better” choice between the two
Honestly I wouldn't bother with the used market. I would just get a 2023/2024 brand new LT1 V8 Camaro & negotiate 5% off MSRP and get a new car fully under warranty instead of buying someone else's problem at an inflated markup
i got a badass clean one with 11500 miles 6 speed sleeps in garage
@@badboyjf19851 wana sell
And that’s why I wouldn’t sell my 2011 SS with 209k miles because it would only be worth 8k lol
Oh yea that's true when you rack up the miles might as well keep it lol. That is awesome tho hope it keeps going for many more miles great car
Exhaust Sports Auto yeah I will probably keep it until it doesn’t run anymore same orange inferno like the ZL1 but just an SS but I love it man it has been a very reliable car to me and I don’t baby it lol 😉
@@toledohemi If you don't want to daily it anymore you should turn it into the ultimate project car
How about rebuilt 11k miles for 26k $ it’s worth for buy ? It’s the same color like you.
Really sad to see the front bumper drilled for the plate. Should be left alone on a car of this caliber, this just ruins the looks.
Yea that kind of sucked
@@MeynMotorGroup Not sure why dealerships do that, I get its no big deal for the average corolla customer. But I was very bummed when I picked up my 5.0 and the front bumper was drilled, first thing I did was fix those holes. Great review though about to much the jump on either a '13 zl1 or an '09 z06
Oh man that's crazy but at least you got it fixed. Those are some awesome choices I think you will love both, for street driving the Z06 might be more usable but the ZL1 is just nutty really a supercar experience. Best of luck and stay blessed
Is it for sale still by any chance?
Is it still available & what is it in
Where’s a link to the car I’m interest
caryimports.com/inventory/34621/view/3769/Cary-NC/2013-Chevrolet-Camaro
Anthony Howard way too expensive
Lol i just purchased one only 57k miles for 27500 green title
Just found a 2013 convertible zl1 6mt with 35k miles for 37k... Get that or a 2017 Convertible SS for the same price?
Just get a new 2022 LT1
gen5 camaros are superb cars...light years ahead of those pos s550 mustangs in every way
Haha firing shots I see
@@MeynMotorGroup
lol yep
i owned one for a year...hated it after about one week tbh.
gen5 camaro for me..this is my second one and very happy with it
In many ways I agree the Camaro is truly superior to the mustang in every way and Im not trying to be a fan boy about it.
That’s not crazy miles for what was probably a daily driver
Is that rear license plate screwed to the trunk lid ?
Why ?
It's a magnet
No mention of no lift shift one of the first GM cars to come with it
Don't even know what that is lol
Hammer the gas, and pump the clutch when you shift. You don't have to lift off the accelerator during shifts
C6 ZR1had it before the ZL1
Phenomenal much
How would you rate the 5th gen 2ss Camaros? Looking for a fun daily and I wanna know if this is a good choice
Yea Camaro is amazing that and the Miata is my most favorite sports cars but be sure to get a manual its great
Exhaust Sports Auto what’s up with the autos? Is it les reliable?
No lol its ok but the tremec manual is just incredible in these Camaros just completes the package but yea I would still recommend a warranty I think some Camaros had diff issues but still very cheap to run compared to some euro crap and it has legit performance
Exhaust Sports Auto Thanks man! Got something to look forward to 😁
Of course!
27k 112k miles is that bad for 2013 zl1👀
This dude has a big pair a balls to buy a high mileage performance car lol
Lmao whoever ran Comp-2 a/s tires with 560 whp had a death wish😂😂😂
Spent all their money on mods and had nothing left for tires lol
I got a 14 with 21XXX How much you think it's worth?
Idk lol look it up on kbb and cargurus
What was GM thinking when they put those stupid reverse lights in the middle of the bumper like that? My 2 year old could have designed it better than that
Yea I never liked those could be difficult for others to see as well. And also the sticker vents need to go lol
Do you know the exhaust set up this thing has? I have a SS Camaro in the same year and I love the exhaust note this has.
I honestly have no idea unfortunately but I do agree it compliments the Camaro V8s so well will have to ask the owner about it
