I have a 2013 Camaro LS (v6) with 384,000 miles. It's been parked for the last 9 months or it would have wound up another 10k per month since then. 3 sets of front wheel bearings (easy/inexpensive), new suspension front and rears around 320k (inexpensive), and at 384k it needs a new dual mass flywheel and clutch ($500). A deer ran into the car, so it's currently parked until I get the clutch and body work scheduled. Around 300k miles, the alternator gave out. I also replaced the starter and battery at that time. The lumbar support gave out in the drivers seat early on, but still comfortable. Otherwise, I expect it to go through 500-600k miles on this v6 engine. So here's to my Dad looking down from above shaking his head probably! I'm Livin. the DREAM! Haha..
I bought my 2017 camaro ss 2 years ago new. So far I have 17k miles. I've had to replace the rack and pinion steering column. Replaced the front sway bar that kept making a knocking noise with the slightest bump, and 2 separate oil leaks coming from the engine block. Thankfully all repaired while still under warranty. Other than that she keeps me happy. Cant wait to see what other problems happen next

I bought my 14 1LE in June of 15 with about 8k miles on it. 400 miles away from 30k miles and no issues at all. Still puts a smile on my face every time I floor the pedal. I've had Borla ATAK on it for the past year and I just ordered my KOOKS headers. So next month is install and tune. Can't wait for more power!
I just bought a 2013 camaro 2lt RS. 43k miles. It’s hot pink with black racing stripes And the plate says pinkcamaro abbreviated. I love it!!! Back in the late 80’s early 90’s my cousin got a power Wheel fire truck and Barbie came Out with a hot wheels Corvette power wheel I wanted one so bad but my parents couldn’t afford to buy me one so I never got it. I sure showed them!! Can’t wait to upgrade one day to a corvette!!
Thank God for how lucky you were with this blessing as I picked up a 2015 RS 2LS the second owner purchasing the car at 65,000 miles, add only 80,000 miles of commuting to work the torque converter has went bad You have to drop the transmission to do it the rear main seal is leaking already and it needs a tuneup I’m just gonna trade it for an SS and hope I get lucky like all these other Camaro owners this time 💫
Thanks for the insight. We also have a bad 2nd synchro as well, since 35k when it was purchased. Glad to know the V6 went to 184k before you deal with timing chain fail. You need to unload that car.
I bought my 2010 2LT V6 Camaro in 2015 at 78,000 miles. myself Jesse, and i love it; I am about to drop 1800$ on mine and get the MRT V2 Performance package which includes a pair of Solo Performance High Flow Cats, and a cold air intake with the MRT V2 axle back. Mine currently sits at 100,200 miles. I greatly enjoy my Camaro even if it isn't the SS that i would of liked to have.
Awesome man! Congrats on the new ride! Since that car I also had 19 1LE and it was a great car! Now my sister is driving the 2010 and I’ve got a C8 haha Thanks for watching!
I have 5300 miles on my 2015. My neighbors tease me that they can smell the new car smell through my garage. People still crowd around it at the drive through of a local restaurant. It's bright yellow. Just so gorgeous!
I have a 2012 SS convertible LS3 problem free for 7 years only one stupid recall they trying to change my jackknife ignition key! Just turned 25,000 miles it still turns more heads than the new ones
People will give newer domestic cars crap, dosent matter if its GM, Ford, ect. But what matters is maintenance! Nothing mechanical will last forever, take care of it & it will take care of you. I have a 2013 SS Camaro 2ss with 6-speed manual, only 30k miles but I've owned a Camaro of every generation & its always been my favorite car 😎
DISTRESS millage doesn’t matter if u take a care of the car and change oil at the time and u do everything good the car will stay forever mileage doesn’t matter
A. 97 - yes it does matter. Maintenance is important but everything wears out eventually. Many many things can go wrong on a car that have nothing to do with maintenance, especially modern cars with tons of electronics. An old car can get expensive to keep on the road. But yes, you wont see 400k without a regiment. I have seen meticulously kept appearing cars die early for not being on top of oil changes.
bought a 2010 2lt rs in 2019 66k miles now 2023 im at 147k miles. replaces timing chain due to the llt going through the first timing chain ( i believe the previous owner ran her harder than i do) but had the mechanic check the engine block when doing the job n said the block was very healthy but i need to do oil changes every 3k miles n that will keep my chain good. aside from basic maintenance like alternator, starter, n sway bar links she has always been good n she still runs strong as fuck. i can still push 155 mph if i wanted 💪🏽🔥
Thanks for the reliability review of the Gen 5's....recently acquired a 2015 SS with 93k with all the goodies (exhaust, headers, etc..)...this video gave me some optimism that the car still has alot of life left beyond 100k with proper preventative maintenance. This thing is a beast....
Got a 2012, 206k miles, going to replace timing Chains track down some sensor issues and put on cold air intake and nitris. These are the kind you want to keep
I have a 2015 2ss with 66713 miles had no major problems with it added Kooks longtube headers with free flow cats and Corsa catback exhaust system with the Roto Fab filter . Just be keeping up with the maintenance on it and still riding pretty much good
Have a 2015 2ss Camaro bought it new 2015 has 111367 miles now it runs good with the headers and exhaust without a tune the only major problem happened had to get my transmission rebuild it still runs good 👍🏾
I wanted to quickly comment on the "rattle" - and to folks that may be experiencing similar issue - I may have a solution. I had a similar problem my 2010 SS, and was beating my head against the wall going from shop to shop to figure it out. At the end, it ended up being a protective shield on exhaust that got bent when I bottomed out somewhere. And as you accelerate, at times the system flexes and vibrates against the shield.
Interesting....I experience this so called "rattling" when I reach the 40-45mph range. It goes away afterwards. NOTE that this only happens when I start the car and drive the 1st time.
Bought a 2013 Hotwheels edition 2LT V6 back in 2014. Mine is less than 300 made for 2013 model year. GM was clearing these out in 2014 for 72 months no interest which is why I wound up with a V6 Automatic. The V8 version was obviously sold out way before then. Currently its at 1560 miles :-)
I had my 2010 Camaro 2 years now came with 132k miles replaced the engine at 147k miles then my transmission at 165k miles. And now im at 173k still running like a champ
I own a 2014 LS with a 6 speed manual in summit white. 60k on it no issues. Put 20 inch black wheels off a ZL1 on it, 1LE rear spoiler, Borla exhaust, cold air intake, halo headlights and window tint. Looks, runs and SOUNDS amazing. That’s my winter and long trip car. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a ZL1 as my summer and show off car. I guess I’m just addicted to Camaro’s. There are worse things to be hooked on.
Great video! I just purchased a 2019 Corvette and also created a RUclips channel to share my experiences with the Grand Sport. Nevertheless, I love the camaros! I just subscribed to your channel and I am happy to hear that the car has done so well for that many miles! That is awesome.
2010 v6 118,xxx miles. Love the car front and back. Purchased with 73,000 miles on it 3 years ago. Purchasing a Car with any miles is always a risk. I got a great deal I couldn’t pass up and was given 3 year bumper to bumper/ rims and tires warranty at a Nissan dealership.. Their big mistake, my good purchase. Everything covered with just a signature luckily but had all hub bearings replaced couple months after purchasing. Ac repaired twice* rim cracked, causing tearing in tire no more than a month after I got the car. Biggest problem that is a known problem with that year is the timing. Had check engine for timing belt and cat at 96k miles. $2,000 repair covered, with the last and fourth hub bearing replaced at the same time also. I have the same exhaust as he does in the video, as well as cold air intake, black car with 5%tint. Cars a head turner for sure, from the murdered out look/ the exhaust note. Countless compliments. Would recommend it to anyone looking into purchasing a 5th gen. Blind spots are known, tint does not help one bit especially at night but you know your car you’re driving. Or should. Not bad at all once you get used to it
I have a 2011 Chevy Camaro and every so often get a check engine light that goes away as well for the Catalyst Bank 2 (Catalytic Converter basically) I throw some Cataclean and a tank of premium and usually don't see it again for a while. I'm sitting at 88k miles on it.
i have a 2010 2ss with 128k miles , no major replaces only coil overs, spark coils. alternator and starter. and finally after 13 yrs of ownership oil be replacing the rear axles
I just bought a 2011 Camaro RS. It had 129k miles at purchase. I’m now at 131k miles now. Have not had any issues no check engine light on. Runs great. I notice with premium gas it runs a little stronger. Can anyone give me upkeep advice.

6:35 I think you might be talking about drone, I did an aftermarket exhaust on my v6 mustang and I had to go back to stock because of it. Great vid btw!
@@RealziesCuts incorrect. I maintain my vehicles 100% of everything they need. I never allow fluids to hit 20% life left. At 25% life left I change all fluids, belts, hoses, by 50 thousand miles I've changed my rear gear oil, My transmission fluids, all filters etc.. at 65 all new sensors, same at 100k, and 125 k respectively. My cars all run like new. So. Luck would not be the word. I maintain my investments. And I don't have issues. Instead I fix them before they arise.

@@strollinnolen5888 I have 140k on my 2010 Camaro, the only issue I've had was I needed to change the ac compressor, other than that I haven't had any major issues.

Just got my 2012 45th Anniversary Edition 2SS and it is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! 27k Miles on it and Mint.. I had a 1980 Camaro V6 back in the day... BEGGED my Dad for the Z28.. Said it had too much Power for me and got me a 1967 Chevy Impala Coupe..What a BUMMER for an 80's chick back then...But, wish I still had that car today that's for sure! .. So here's to my Dad looking down from above shaking his head probably! I'm Livin. the DREAM! Haha..

I have a 2014 V6 Camaro with 135,000 on the dash & it’s still running perfect. No lights are on at all.
Tradet as fast as you can for an SS my 2015 RS torque converter went out at 80,000 miles
I just got a 2010 103,000 and i love it i have always been a Camaro fan
Is it still running ?
Got my 2SS for 12.5k cash at 21 about 8 months ago , worked hard , had to stop dreaming and go get it ! 98.8k running strong!
Got mine 2010 2SS 107k, $12.2.
Cant wait to see what other problems happen next

both of my 4th gens have had no rattles even at 130,000 miles. Dont know why everyone complains about it.
@@damonhenry Same here.. had an 02 ws6, even with solid motor mounts i got no rattles. Also had a 96 z28 and no rattles with that one either.
i owned a 2000 camaro and never had the infamous rattle issue..
Aren’t you guys lucky, dad had an 02 ws6 with a built engine and full exhaust everything rattled
I bought a 2013 ss 1le brand new....it now has 11,000 miles on it and watching this video makes me know that my car will last a long time .....I'm 50 now and the story you tell reminds me of a memory about my dad with a1967 GTO...you have a good story...NEVER get rid of that car
Sean Redinger I just bought a 2013 Camaro SS 1LE too haha mine has 22,000 miles on it. So far I love it i picked it up for 25k.
184k and you still have the dealership sticker on it?
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
After owning a 2010 2ss and a 2014 ZL1 over the years I can say that these are pretty solid cars haven’t had any issues with them.
NEV ZL1 What about corvettes?
tronix pretty solid cars. Just make sure you have a mechanic check it out to make sure it hasn’t been beaten to death by a kid
tronix the only problem some have is the oil pump going bad. Other than that you should be fine
Got one just like it...check engine light comes on for a week or two goes out...I like it...just don't like the blind spots
I just bought a 2013 camaro 2lt RS. 43k miles. It’s hot pink with black racing stripes
And the plate says pinkcamaro abbreviated. I love it!!!
Back in the late 80’s early 90’s my cousin got a power
Wheel fire truck and Barbie came
Out with a hot wheels Corvette power wheel I wanted one so bad but my parents couldn’t afford to buy me one so I never got it. I sure showed them!! Can’t wait to upgrade one day to a corvette!!
Still have my 2014 Camaro LS sitting at 154k miles . Runs good, no major issues 💪🏾
Thank God for how lucky you were with this blessing as I picked up a 2015 RS 2LS the second owner purchasing the car at 65,000 miles, add only 80,000 miles of commuting to work the torque converter has went bad
You have to drop the transmission to do it the rear main seal is leaking already and it needs a tuneup I’m just gonna trade it for an SS and hope I get lucky like all these other Camaro owners this time 💫
Thanks for the insight. We also have a bad 2nd synchro as well, since 35k when it was purchased. Glad to know the V6 went to 184k before you deal with timing chain fail. You need to unload that car.
I just bought me a 2010 v6 camaro for my birthday has 83 thousand miles it's an auto love the car
Congrats Jesse, I'm a new owner myself!
should've just bought a prius
I bought my 2010 2LT V6 Camaro in 2015 at 78,000 miles. myself Jesse, and i love it; I am about to drop 1800$ on mine and get the MRT V2 Performance package which includes a pair of Solo Performance High Flow Cats, and a cold air intake with the MRT V2 axle back. Mine currently sits at 100,200 miles. I greatly enjoy my Camaro even if it isn't the SS that i would of liked to have.
Pats Die Hard; and maybe you should taking your trolling to someone who cares.
Jesse jones same here man. I love my cam
Loved the story!!!! I have a 2015 SS with few modifications. Just love the power and body style.
Awesome man! Congrats on the new ride! Since that car I also had 19 1LE and it was a great car! Now my sister is driving the 2010 and I’ve got a C8 haha
Thanks for watching!
I have 5300 miles on my 2015. My neighbors tease me that they can smell the new car smell through my garage. People still crowd around it at the drive through of a local restaurant. It's bright yellow. Just so gorgeous!
2010 ss ls3 80k miles love it is strong an solid hit 167 mph on high way today
I have a 2012 SS convertible LS3 problem free for 7 years only one stupid recall they trying to change my jackknife ignition key! Just turned 25,000 miles it still turns more heads than the new ones
People will give newer domestic cars crap, dosent matter if its GM, Ford, ect. But what matters is maintenance! Nothing mechanical will last forever, take care of it & it will take care of you. I have a 2013 SS Camaro 2ss with 6-speed manual, only 30k miles but I've owned a Camaro of every generation & its always been my favorite car 😎
I just bought a 2013 Camaro 1SS with the 1LE package it has 22000 miles and I paid 25k for it so far I think it's a amazing car
Jared c that’s the same car I have. Mine is rally yellow. 28 1SS were made that year in 1LE. What color is yours?

DISTRESS millage doesn’t matter if u take a care of the car and change oil at the time and u do everything good the car will stay forever mileage doesn’t matter
What's your secret
Scent Mack just keep up with oil changes and and flush out everything once a year and become very good friends with seafoam valve cleaner
DISTRESS for real. Are you In the Camaro5 gen
2015 RS at 91K miles hoping it lasts as long as yours 🙏🏽
Trade it for an SS as fast as you can my 2015 RS torque converter just went out at 80,000 miles
2012 2ss camero with 24k miles garage kept, nice ride :)
I'm a owner of a 2015 Camaro and I love it. Great video, Bro.
Great video! I just purchased a 2019 Corvette and also created a RUclips channel to share my experiences with the Grand Sport. Nevertheless, I love the camaros! I just subscribed to your channel and I am happy to hear that the car has done so well for that many miles! That is awesome.
Love the look of a fifth gen Camaro. If I hadn't gotten my Challenger, I would be driving one of these.
2015 2SS w 24K miles here....great car!
Since I was 13 wanted a 2000-2002 Z28. October 2017 finally got one. Have loved it. But I really really dig the 4th gens
2011 Camaro 350k miles

My 2011 Camaro has 415,000KM on it and still runs as smooth as ever and never had it in the shop for anything major at all
I have a 2011 black camaro SS 480hp all natural LS3 love it LOVe IT! Great car have 68k runs like new doesn’t leak a drop sound nasty
Or should. Not bad at all once you get used to it
Just bought a 2011 RS and it's AWESOME!
Awesome dude! Congrats!
Thanks for watching!
Cool story! Your parents rock! Your story made me smile man😊
I have a 2011 Chevy Camaro and every so often get a check engine light that goes away as well for the Catalyst Bank 2 (Catalytic Converter basically) I throw some Cataclean and a tank of premium and usually don't see it again for a while. I'm sitting at 88k miles on it.
