  • Hey everyone!
The 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro Is a pretty awesome car. People have drifted, dragged, and many people daily drive them. No matter what you decide to do with your Camaro, there are issues that may come up. These issues can be difficult to fix and may surprise you, so that's why I make these videos. In just 5 minutes, I talk about all the common issues on the 5th Gen Chevrolet Camaro that you should know about before you make that purchase. If you already own one, then you can better educate yourself. Either way, my goal is to help.
    Hope you enjoyed this!
If you did, check out the playlist because I have more videos along this line and you can better educate yourself on many more cars.

    by computer software.
I have owned for over 5 years, with no problems except a broken wash/wiper pump, which was only
about £15.00 delivered from the USA!

Immediately changed all fluids after purchasing the vehicle, including tranny and diff fluid and oil change. Made a world of a difference for smooth shifts. I learned manual on this vehicle so the clutch would typically be toast but it has not had one issue. One known issue I have ran into that we knew about prior to purchase was an electrical headlight issue. Fixed that simple. And then the throttle body sensor needed to be replaced, however due to the fact that the sensor is built into the throttle body, I had to get a brand new one. Luckily from GM it only cost me $200. I have no serious negatives about this vehicle. Huge upgrade. A lot of power. And I’m not stock either and it’s had 0 major or critical issues. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞🤞

I have owned a 2010 Camaro SS 6-speed Manual since it came out and here's what has gone wrong with it over a dozen years: (NO SUN ROOF, NOT THE CONVERTIBLE)
    - Exhaust baffle in OEM exhaust came loose back in 2011 but was fixed under the warranty. (FIXED!)
    - BOSTON ACOUSTICS PACKAGE REAR SPEAKERS blown like 4 times... replaced by GM 4 times under warranty before I finally just gave up. They are still busted to this day. (STILL BROKEN)
    - Air Conditioner Unit died one day back in the mid 2010's - ($2000+ at dealership to replace) they had to lift my dashboard out through my windshield apparently. (FIXED!)
    - GM tried to take the original GM Switchblade key from my 2010 camaro, break it in half and hand it back to me in two pieces in order to "fix a recall on it" which I promptly made them put it back together because I never asked for this to be done. [I see a lot of youtubers who buy these used with their original key in two pieces] (FIXED!)
    - Took 10+ years for any of the headlight/foglight bulbs to go out and they were easy to replace. (FIXED!)
    CURRENT ISSUES:
    - Driver side window will "drop down" sometimes when I have the car off and I get messages to "roll the window down and up again" on my tach HUD window.
    - Driver side wiring is pinched somewhere. When I open my driver side door sometimes it will toggle the locking mechanism and lock and unlock itself. Sometimes I get locked out of the car by mistake.
    - A/C lines are letting R-134 out. (I have had this looked at by a dealership in 2021 but it now leaks again in 2022)
    - Driveline whine. Shifter started shaking hard going down the road one day (Fixed the shaking cheaply for $100 myself but it still whines)
Things to know about the 2010 specific model:
    - No touch screen was offered and this model came before a time where these were standard on vehicles.
    - Unique steering wheel to that year before the switched to the "Cobalt Style".
    - Sunroof models do not have the cool aerodynamic crease in the roof.
    - Poor rear visibility... like a lot of GM stuff including my Hummer H3.
    - The stock exhaust has mufflers the size of mini-fridges.
Overall this car has been extremely reliable I have never had an engine issue in all that time.

A sbe LS3 can handle around 700ish hp rather reliably. If you plan on putting a lot of boost on it, and are trying to push more than 750-800hp. Upgrading the internals is recommended, for the engine life. But a sbe ls engine putting down 600-700hp, and being driven daily is not a big deal. As it is pretty common to see nowadays.

All in all, is this a good first buy? Few details to help: currently drive a prius but want a manual because its fun and i find it helps me stay awake more. looking at 2011 1LS Coupe (if someone could explain what Coupe means too that would be awesome) V6, or maybe a V8 i saw but i dont remember the year or model at the moment. Have some car knowledge, and my dad and brother are better than me (several battery replacements in said Prius, and general maintenance thats allowed it to keep going strong almost 20 years later). Main reason i want a camaro is because 1: they look awesome, B: they seem like good "do everything" cars, and third: im a student aid this next year at school, because homeschool +trade school weirdness, and my two teachers will be driving a corvette and camaro respectively, and as i will be kinda like a teacher ish i thought it would be cool if i also got a chevrolet muscle/sports car and camaros are much cheaper than corvettes, but thats not as big a reason as the other two

Yeah, that definitely needs to be on this list. My son and I bought a 2014 LT1 auto a few years back and have put 18k miles on it. No problems so far. As far as the blend door goes: I don't use AC, ever (that's what windows are for). Well, actually, when my wife demands that I turn it on, then I put it right at the first blue circle setting (not anywhere near max), but I'm hoping to prolong the life of the blend door by very rarely ever using my AC.
