Of all the ponds shown on this channel, this is by far the most significantly natural looking one... I mean all the ponds look natural, but this looks like something you'd stumble upon in a tropical rainforest
To me, this location has been my favorite of your Australia vlogs by far. I love how he separated the two ponds but made them look connected. The attention to detail is amazing.
This water feature is UNbelievable! The tropical plants, the attention to detail, those sandstone blocks, and the space in general, just awesome! It’s literally a rainforest! I was having a bad day, but the vlog cheered me up. Thanks Y’all!
All those tall plants around the edge really set this one apart for me. The view looks cool from the deck with the closer plants blocking the view to the distance and the taller treeline above that. Australia has some cool looking plants.
This is absolutely gorgeous, they way it was designed it gives you the impression that it has been there forever. I love this channel and seeing all the ponds, waterfalls and now seeing more and more swim ponds is a great addition and one day soon I see a swim pond in my future.
We're so lucky to live in coastal Queensland. It's kind of like south Florida and Hawaii combined, but fifty times larger, with humid subtropical to tropical to subequatorial weather.
I love it! i remember swimming at the rice field during the field preaparation and watering the field using irrigation system [when we were young],,, using traditional varieties of rice and traditional use of farming systems
Getting real into this whole pond thing, just waiting for the ground to thaw to give it a whack in my own backyard. Thanks Greg and the whole Aquascape crew, I think I've watched every single one your videos and I've found something to evolve my aquarium passion into something bigger! So thanks!
Love the video! Nice to know you guys are inspired by your visits! It proves you are excited to see other people's growth and experience with creating these ponds, aquascapes! Great Job!
What an amazing swim pond ... it's given me a lot of ideas for my pool to pond conversion. It looks so natural, probably because it didn't start as a swimming pool. I love the decks and pergola, what a lifestyle! Great video, thanks.
Ok, love the blocks below the deck, so gonna do this with our deck edge too. Another "see honey!" moment. Thank you for the great "make it my own" "kit & kaboodle."
Amazing.... It is a steping stone for me Because i want to cone in this pond building profession in near months Thanks for making an incredible blog .....it is unique
I'm still hoping to win the lottery or wait for my ship to come in so I too can live the aquascape lifestyle. Each video gets better and better. This is soooooooo awesome, Greg I love your job😍
You have just opened my mind up to amazing idea I want to do on one of the Western Australia property I stay at awesome work guys thanks heaps for the video
Started my build 17 Mar 23..... in Thailand. 4 meters x 2.5 meters and 1.25 meters deep. (13 ft x 8 ft x 4 ft)... Construction should be completed in a few days. About 12-14 days to get plants, filtration, rocks, etc to a swimming level. About a year before the surrounding landscaping turn into a jungle.
Love this.. I’m going to create this on my property. The only thing I would be concerned about are snakes! 🤣 we have plenty of those in Queensland and they’re known to enjoy a dip!
I just LOVE your videos. I'm a caretaker at a resort up here in the Cariboo of BC and I would love to be able to add one of these types of water features on our grounds. During the off season I would love to take a course to be able to do this. Do you have anyone here in British Columbia, Canada that teaches your course? I really feel this is going to be close to a movement towards getting people reconnected to nature. I share your videos all the time. Thank you so much for making them. So awesome to see someone who is passionate about their work.
We do have Canadian distributors who offer training. New sessions are always being added to the calendar so check the web page for new events: www.aquascapeinc.com/professionals/learn-build-earn We also offer self-paced online training: training.aquascapeinc.com/
Lovely to look at, swim no, as a kid I swam in our pond thinking life was great until I realised it makes the best snake pond ! Snakes love hanging around water catching frogs etc, I live in QLD Australia and it would be a nightmare to relax in that pool. In a larger more open version I might go in :)
Jestronix Handerson hi, thought I would fill you in with some info on snakes so you might see your way to imagining yourself in here. Snakes are very shy of humans. We are way too big to eat and they know this. They honestly don’t want to waste their venom on us, takes a lot of energy to make and snakes are the kings of saving as much energy as possible, not to mention if they waste it on us they may go hungry until they create nor or even in the worst case, starve. I live in the middle of the rain forest and have moved many snakes off the road, all they want to do is get away and if they don’t feel cornered that is always their choice. Use the escape route. My son has even trodden on a snake bare footed and it still just wanted to get away, didn’t even try to bite him but he was bare foot and felt it before he put his full weight on it. Snakes are really miss understood animals that do a great job of keeping the introduced: brown rat, feral cats etc under control especially in Australia. I had a red belly back snake that lived near my back step at my old place, we just used to step around it it was so used to us ( I think it died due to a cane toad 😞) I know people are scared of snakes because they are taught to be afraid, hopefully a little bit of knowledge can help alleviate that fear. If you see a snake just stay very still, it will honestly just go they other way, it wants as little to do with you as you with it ❤️😊
Greg and team i hope you'll have certified contractors in uk would really love to see you'll and the work youll do really inspiring and would love to meet youll

So I took a concrete slab backyard patio out to have it redone. But now I am hesitating. I had an area where I was planing to build a small pond but now I think Should just wait till I save up to build a bigger pond closer to the house.
Hey, so this is just going to be about me rambling on for a bit, so bare with me. I hope you read this so you know how much you have impacted me. I have loved watching your videos and I actually have a pond of my own, when I moved in there was this pond, which is just liner and the ground and I’ve had to figure out how ponds work, when I was about 10. I don’t usually ask my parents for things and I work for it myself, and the same went with the pond, so I’ve had to work on a low budget. Well that got ruined last year when a tree fell in my pond ruining the liner and my pumps. I tried fixing the 5 holes that were in it, but I’m pretty sure it’s still leaking. So when I heard about your pond giveaway I was like “hey that would be cool to win” but after a while I felt it wouldn’t be as rewarding a “labor of love” if you will, so I’ve been planning out a new pond build, and I have been learning a lot from you and Team aquascapes videos. Although it’d be cool to win and learn from pros I would also like to build my own pond. When I turn 15 next month I am going to try and apply for a job at my only local aquascape contractor to make money and learn hands on before I start making my pond. Besides from what I’ve seen I think I would love it as a future job. Sorry if you read through that I am just very appreciative of you and everyone at Team Aquascape.
Louis - thank you for sharing your story! Sorry to hear about the tree falling in your pond - but now you can rebuild it the right way, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise. We have our Pond Builder's Bible available online if you need help along the way: www.aquascapeinc.com/professionals/pond-builders-bible We also have free online training available here: training.aquascapeinc.com/ You'll find both of these resources to be a huge help along the way!
@@GregWittstockThePondGuy great resources. I'm a marines studies teacher in Aust and have set up aquariums and a small fish farm so this is a natural progression for me. Love your work. Looking forward to checking out your resources.
We live in Zimbabwe in an area north east of Harare, we depend on a borehole for water and it only delivers 500 litres an hour. Would we be able to develop a wetland pond ?
Of all the ponds shown on this channel, this is by far the most significantly natural looking one... I mean all the ponds look natural, but this looks like something you'd stumble upon in a tropical rainforest
Patrick’s artistry is just on a different level. Total Pro!
I keep coming back to watch this video. It's an incredible swim pond.
To me, this location has been my favorite of your Australia vlogs by far. I love how he separated the two ponds but made them look connected. The attention to detail is amazing.
Cheers Alyssa! We are happy how that came together as well:)
The more I’ve seen of Patrick’s ponds the more blown away I am, the man is a true artist, simply stunning.
Stunning; what an insanely great job of landscaping.
When I was a kid, I used to day dream about turning my backyard into a massive pond. This is like something out of a fantasy. I love it.
This water feature is UNbelievable! The tropical plants, the attention to detail, those sandstone blocks, and the space in general, just awesome! It’s literally a rainforest! I was having a bad day, but the vlog cheered me up. Thanks Y’all!
EVERY Backyard needs a swim pond. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Another GREAT pond! Excellent work by Patrick and his crew!
Cheers Derek!
Oh my gosh! I love his pool pond!
This has to be one of my all time favourite ponds. And it even has Australian Rainbow fish. Sooooo cool.
That is a great place to plant big plants that will grow most the year .
This design is easily one of my favorites. Absolutely fantastic.
This is absolutely gorgeous, they way it was designed it gives you the impression that it has been there forever. I love this channel and seeing all the ponds, waterfalls and now seeing more and more swim ponds is a great addition and one day soon I see a swim pond in my future.

I love everything about the pound it’s look so topical ❤️ and relaxing 😌
We're so lucky to live in coastal Queensland. It's kind of like south Florida and Hawaii combined, but fifty times larger, with humid subtropical to tropical to subequatorial weather.
the formal edge those sand stones give is a really nice detail. reminds me of a scene sort of out of tomb raider or something. what an oasis that is.
That pond is so clear
Patrick is one heck of a talented water artist 👌
I love it! i remember swimming at the rice field during the field preaparation and watering the field using irrigation system [when we were young],,, using traditional varieties of rice and traditional use of farming systems
This has been the best pond area so far on your trip!

@Stephen Murphy maybe they are, I don't know? But Aussies (Not Ozzies) are from Australia 😉
Yeah pronounced the same but we say "Aussies" for obvious reasons 😄

I wish, we in India, had the expertise for such aquascapes..
Question : The pump connected to the wetland filter is connected to the water in the sump correct, or is above ground?
Just Amazing!!!!...Does the wetland setup attract snakes, though??
Wow
I'm from Australia lmao hi from down under

Would we be able to develop a wetland pond ?
It wasn’t a water dragon lol it was a monitor lizard
No it's a native goanna.
@@alisonshanahan9529 same same but different
Is mosquito a problem with all that water?
Not at all. Mosquitoes prefer stagnant water and the pond fish would eat their larvae anyway.
Nice Goanna. Not a water dragon.
