How to identify voices in a choir | How to quickly know the type of a voice in a choir audition

As promised in my last video, today’s topic is the last leg of this “choir audition frequently asked questions” tour - and it was originally named: Soprano, alto, tenor, bass - how to know which is it?
While I do agree with the title (not so much with me singing it in the previous video), I feel the need to put a disclaimer here - yes, this video is going to be about how to recognize the type of voice somebody has, but it won’t be as technically detailed as you might think - because you can google this stuff and you will find a perfectly suitable answer - they will give you the average range of each voice, and all about the voice’s timbre, which all stands. However, I don’t think that knowledge is enough - especially when dealing with non-professional choirs, which we are here on Enquire 2 choir. Plus, you only have a few minutes in an audition to determine which voice you’re dealing with. This is why in this video I am going to focus on the practical things you can easily apply to recognize the type of the voice quickly, and what to do if you really can’t figure it out even after thoroughly testing.
