  • If you just think of a submission just as an attack then you'll have a very difficult time submitting good people. The truth is that in order to submit skilled grapplers you first have to be able to control them in that position, which means thinking about and training submissions as positions. Here, from the new instructional BJJ Games (www.grappleart...) is the armbar control game which will teach you how to control the armbar as a position. Live training footage starts at approx 4:21

And that is why you drill with new blue belts or old white belts. Good enough to not spazz but not skilled enough to get you in any kind of danger.

That’s not uncommon in jiujitsu. We all learn from someone a certain technique and make it work for us even if it’s different.

This is from the BJJ Games instructional that I (Stephan Kesting) have produced with Rob Biernacki. Rob has been using a gamified approach to jiu-jitsu for over 10 years. What are you implying?

It's a timing thing though isn't it? In this case it's coincidence I guess but the fact that it's released a month or so after someone else's BJJ game series after 10 years of use is good use of people searching BJJ games and I imagine(I haven't checked) that yours or cheaper. Free market. I'm down for it

@@constablekohler I don't just slam instructionals together; it takes a minimum of 3-4 months to plan, film, edit, proof, export, and master an instructional, so the fact that this came out in close proximity to someone else's instructional (which I haven't seen) is pure coincidence.
