Miltek are spot on exhausts on any car 👍🏻 i would use power flex or similar rubbers though

Exhaust sounds good! That beam is a pain in the arse where it is, took me bloody ages to cut off my old exhaust as I had no room for the grinder.
I've got the exact same cat-back (non RACE) and got Millteks sports-cat to put on, that cat safe crackle sounds spot on 👍
its perfect on the cat safe crackle. normal driving its just a mild burble so you dont sound too asbo unless you leave it overun after 4k

Mk2 focus RS exhaust insulators are best pal 👍 i only fitted the two (on the back box) then used standard ones on the cat end of the pipe, will change them aswell if i need to in the future but they seem sufficient when that section weighs nothing 👍
I agree with the RS hangers on the back box, initially I had Powerflex insulators which were ok for a couple of years but they do degrade and go soft and can make the exhaust knock

Cheers for trying it mate. Was a thought I had and was worth exploring. Definitely wasn't happening. The Milltek sounds fantastic. Almost sounds good enough to sway me away from Mountune.

Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Maybe its just me, but that pop pop pop off throttle would get on my nerves. I suppose I could just turn up the ICE. :-)
It would me If it was constant but in reality we rarely drive around lifting off the throttle above 4k and just leaving it slow down.
@@Sparkplugsteve Makes sense, I suppose it wouldn't be too bad in that case, does it get you any more horse powers or torques? Does it feel any different to drive?
To be honest no i felt no power difference but its worth it for the sound.

What was the plans for it. They worked the land for a while flattening it out. Was it for houses?
@@Sparkplugsteve yea 100 or so houses but we found a few sink holes nearly lost the 360 excavator there's a pub close called the bog and with good reason
So what's happening there now? They just leaving it barren.

I am soon to be fitting the same exhaust Steve are new bushes required do you think? My mechanic seems to think standard ones will be fine but seeing this make me want to go out and buy some new ones?

Did you use any exhaust paste when fitting your exhaust? Didn’t see any in the video? I made the mistake of not putting any in the joins and it started leaking after a while. Had to take it off and paste it up. That heat shield is so annoying, had to bend abit of mine out of the way. Love the videos, keep them coming!
No I didn't use any. If I have any issues Il just have to do it again. Thanks for Kind words.
fitment on my miltek was a nightmare, ended up with cable ties around the mounts as the powerflex and the rs ones both split after not that long

Did you need to use your old 3" to stock converter plate from the cat to the milltek? Or does it bolt straight on. Exhaust sounds great
Bolts straight on without it .
My milltek exhaust bumps into the rear bumper, it's pretty annoying. And i even got powerflex bushings, that did not fix that.
Wear some safety goggles! After being sat in a&e at 1am for 8 hours I will never not use them again 😁
I always wear a face shield but on This occasion I didn't and I got lucky the blade broke and trapped in the exhaust.

You'll need to get new exhaust rubbers, the halfords ones are absolute dogshit mate, they dry out crack and split in under 2 months
I greased mine up to help get them on but i think it helps keep them from going bad as quick. Deffo no the best though like you said.

What's the difference between res and none res
Hi Steve, great video as per usual. What it sound like inside the car? mine with a non res race and symposer delete, all i can hear is intake noise, even though the exhaust screams from the outside. All i can hear is when it pops or cruising at very low speeds
It sounds just fine for me in the car. Some mild exhaust noise is perfect for me.

Would you say this exhaust was loud on start up or under civilised driving, say keeping the car under 3k revs? I don’t want to be causing hassle with neighbours etc, and normally I’d say I don’t care about their thoughts but realistically it’s a sensible move. Need some advice if possible.
With a sport cat like I have its not loud at all really. On the motorway it's perfect no drone and not too loud at idle.
Is this the sport miltek or the race miltek?

The race is louder. this is just right for me. you can daily drive it and be cruising on the motorway with zero drone
Spark Plug Steve Unfortunately where I went had no race res’ in stock and the waiting time was ages so I ended up getting a cobra resonated, love the fact there’s no drone and from what I’ve heard non res cobras are a bit of a handful like venoms etc

Steve, I need a little help from you. I'm thinking of importing a 2017 Fiesta ST-3 from the UK to Ireland. There's about 10 available at the moment but half of them have €280 Annual Road Tax and the other half €390. I'm struggling to figure out why the tax is different on two of the same cars 🤔
Also, the VRT is a grand higher on the €390 Road Tax ones.
It's about £130 a yr for road tax.
