nice review man ! accurate. with the volume rolled back , the Centavo seems to retain more dynamic from the guitar, but overall I think the WarmDrive is more versatile , so I will go with that as a future purchase ! both sound killer ..
@@GuitarBonedo i picked it up from the store today. Was "stuck" playin it for about 3 hours when I got home. AMAZING pedal ! Def worth having it on the board. Creamy warm lead tones and amazing fat rythm tones with attitude 🔥🤘🫶
Could we get a demo with a cleaner amp like a Deluxe Reverb? Because the D20 is kind of sludgy sounding to me, all the pedals seem to do is make it more so. Seeing how a Klon, as well as a Dumble (in a box), aren't metal or even hard rock this demo makes it extremely hard if not impossible to gauge their quality against the competition.
Actually Revv D20 is capable to sound clean. I had one, but the clean tone was very sterile. Like you don't have any impact from the amp in the overall chain. It sounds okay with a good guitar though, but no character whatsoever.
@@peterosipov400 fair enough and note taken, I didn't necessarily mean that the D20 is a sludgy amp (by nature) just that the way he has the controls set it's not as clean as I would like it for an amp doing pedal demos.
@@ThePenitentSquirrel I liked the amp better with its internal boost engaged (when you pull the gain knob) even with external overdrive pedals and that's probably what the guys in the video did for the demo. Than the amp sounds clearer (not cleaner but less mud in the tone), but probably it is less clean than. I don't know. Ironically I found that I like pedals through Revv D20 less than through amps with more character. And especially through IRs. But I didn't try any "amp-in-a-box" (like "Marshall in a box") pedals myself. Probably they would sound better through the amp. And the pedal that sounded the best through it was BadCat 2-Tone which is a quirky pedal to begin with.
