Love my Hydros. Allows me to take "MY" preferred equipment when travelling. Recent equipment failures with rentals pushed me to investigate further and glad I did.
I use a Scubapro Air2 replacing the octo. The main reg has a slightly longer line (2") and is very flexible. I use a dive puter w/ air integration. I like to minimize for recreational diving.
I just started diving about a month ago. I bought this BCD before I even started certification class. I have about 15 dives in so far and I don't even notice it when I am actually diving. Even in Grand Cayman my dive instructor sometimes wears a wetsuit top because his BC is uncomfortable. I'm in a rashguard and don't even notice the BC. If I have it fully inflated it does want to push me forward on the surface. I have learned to deflate it some and it keeps me above water and in a more comfortable position. I might try putting some of my weights in the pockets by the tank as they suggest. Being new I have nothing to compare it to, but I really like it!! It is expensive, but for me, I'm sure it will be the only BC I will ever buy! Thanks!!
@@suquayconaway9225 I bought a crotch strap a few days ago, I took my Hydro to Manado this year for the first time, and I found out that sometimes my backstrap will not stay on my shoulder, they will float up, so I have to pull the BC down, I have no idea why. When I back to my local dive shop, I talked to the owner, and he mentioned I'm not the only one who have the same problem, they all bought crotch strap, on the bottom of the backplate, there is a clip, you can to your crotch strap through there, and the other end will attach to the belt. I believe there is a video from scubapro channel that mentioned that clip. Just search hydro pro in Scubapro RUclips channel.

Been trying to talk myself out of the Hydros, but I like it more and more as I research it. It's looking like this will be the one I go with.

For those that have used their BCDs already, how did you like it?
I want to know the same thing.
It is great. What they tell you is what you get. No less, no more
What is the difference between the men's and women's?

dump valves are weak if not the weakest link in bcd longevity.
