I only have had experience with pro UHF wireless. I really don't understand why the average RUclipsr would want a wireless system. You have added layers of complexity to your work -- batteries and charging, potential for drop outs, syncing recorded audio if breakups occur-- For the fast 5 years I have used pocket recorders from Tascam and Zoom. The Tascams get the most use. I only have to put in a fresh AAA battery and ready to go for a day of use. I have never had any issues during a shoot. I don't know why anyone would want to add this layer of complexity to their production. But, the review was good and both units sound good to me. Cheers

Honestly I rarely use the built in audio recording i don't want to deal with syncing audio, but its nice to have if something goes wrong. My friend has been using the built in audio recording and man.......syncing just takes so much time to sort through all the audio and video clips. It is only great for backup, but ideally you never want to use it. Good thoughts! Thanks for watching!

The lav he’s talking about for the DJI is Shure MVL Lavalier $69 Amazon. Here’s my take after 20 years in film and video production industry. Tech evolves, and I know we all try to save a buck; but you will never know how good something is until you put it in your hands. I like the DJI because of the extra options. The lav attachment is shady to me but it’ll be great for gorilla film making & hiding the lav. If you’re going to do a big project for a client you may get away with this but I would use XLR lavs. More of a solid sound and I would never just record through the camera. Always record separate. Good review

Thank you for the thorough review! One thing I haven't been able to confirm looking through the manual or in your video, and others, is if the receiver will record to itself or if it must be connected to a camera or other device to record the audio. I know the transmitters will record locally but curious if I always have to have the receiver connected to something of if the system will work standalone. I'd like to have a track, perhaps the "Ms" mode on the transmitter, and also have the receiver record as well, without a phone or camera. Or even just the mic/transmitter by itself without the receiver at all.
