    Far too many reviews leave the audio samples to the very end and some don't even bother at all.
    Not you! You kicked off right from the beginning. I love it!!! Well done.
    I've now had a Fulaim X5 for about 6 weeks. I've done hundreds of tests and settled on gain level 4 with noise reduction on. I record on iphone12pm using CinemaP3. I love it more and more.
    I find the best audio when held in front of my mouth, but it's not very practical. Second best is under my t-shirt with the wind muff on. A lot better than when on the outside!!!

    Going back over your review. I wish all reviewers followed your example. Really helpful. Results from mics depend so much on the individuals voice and the environment. That's why comparisons with similar systems is so important. Would have been nice to have had comparisons also in an indoor setting.
    Blessings and keep doing such a fantastic job!!!

    very clear comparision! audios between the fulaim and DJI don't sound very different at 5:12(maybe DJI sound a little louder?). other features are almost the same! I agree with the first comment that fulaim mic definitely a perfect alternative option to the DJI mic, for less money! anyway, great video!

    Nice comparison of great products. I like simplicity of Fulaim X5 and features like noise removal and safety track are really good. Someone call it DJI killer, but I feel it is great alternative for less.

    Great video, but I'd like to see comparison between the FULAIM X5 and FULAIM 1000 as well.
    I own the FULAIM 1000 wireless mics and am very impressed with the sound quality that I get. The FULAIM 1000 is like the Comica but has the wired lavalier mic inputs on the transmitters. Like the Comica the FULAIM 1000 does not have internal recording. I am looking to upgrade to the X5 but disappointed that they do not come with the wired lavalier mics like the 1000 came with.

      If Fulaim reaches back out and sends the F1000 I'll do a review. I use the Rode Lav GO with the Fulaim X5, it works very well. amzn.to/43mAKrO

    Ryan nice presentation. I remember an old phrase " Champagne at Beer prices" ? If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck? I have ordered this kit. Im hopeful that this might solve my to be understood needs. As an ex pro musician I appreciate good sound. If your pocket book does not reach audio pro level budget $ 2K+. I expect this to work just dandy. My search is done!!

    Is it just my ears? The X5 and the dji sounds dull compared to the comica. That was the clearest sound of all. Unfortunately doesn't have internal recording.

      My X5 has some issues if I leave the Rx on my phone when I put it in my pocket. It bent the dongle which had to be replaced. Also, the tags holding the windmuffs on are so small they can break off. I've had to buy an alternative windmuff to fit right over the top of Tx. Otherwise all fine. I love it.

    For me comica and fulaim had best sound.

    Fulaim sounds a little bit deeper.

      From the many tests I've done on my X5, it's very sensitive to position. The closer to my mouth the better. Definite best held in front of my mouth but that's 6:08 not really very practical. Second best position is underneath my t-shirt with the deadcat on. Definite better than when on the outside!!!

    V difficult to tell the difference in audio quality between Fulain & DJI. Comica seemed to have a fuller base response.

    • @WillNewcomb

      I’ve now had a Fulaim X5 for about 2 weeks, using it with my iPhone12pm. I’m no audiophile but as previously mentioned I found it very difficult to tell the difference between the 3 that you tested. For my own personal tests, I’ve compared it to my wired $30 PurplePanda lav. To my ears the PP sounds definitely superior, though best when plugged directly into my iPhone rather than going through the X5 Tx lav input. However, with some quite basic adjustments in LumaFusion, I can get it to sound pretty much the same. That’s a relief since I was initially disappointed that the PP was better.
      Thanks for your great review. Blessings.

    Nice, I wonder which cabled lav mic would be good to use with the Fulaim X5 buy at hopefully something like less than $100 for the pair.. then the price comes up to Saramonic Blink500 ProX level but Saramonic doesn't do local backup recording on the transmitter..

      When I got my X5 I compared it to my wired cheap PurplePanda lav connected directly to my iphone12pm and the PP sounded a bit better. (EQ adjustment helped the X5). When plugged into the X5 Tx it wasn't as good.

    • @AerialPixel

      No the receiver has a very small battery, if that was allowed your receiver would be dead in minutes.

  • @DigiDriftZone
    @DigiDriftZone Год назад +1

    Thank you for this video, I am almost sold on the X5! - A couple of questions though, can the X5 act like a USB-C audio interface plugged into a laptop? - and how secure is the wind shield attachement (it keeps falling off my Rode Wireless 1 which is annoying!)? - is there any way to turn off the 1-click noise reduction, I don't want it and feel I may press that by accident?

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  Год назад +3

      Yes you can plug into the USB-C on the receiver to a phone or laptop to record directly to the device.
      The deadcat is attached using a twist lock method very similar to the DJI system, once twist-locked in place it will not easily fall off like it does on the Rode Wireless Go.
      Unfortunately there is no option to turn off the noise reduction button press, however the buttons are slightly stiff so it's harder to accidentally turn on.

      @@AerialPixel Brilliant, thank you for that, that helps a lot. Final question, they claim to be 1.8x smaller and 1.7x lighter than the DJI transmitter (47x26x13mm 18g on the X5 vs the DJI 47x30x20 30g), while having better battery, I mean, woah! - Is that true or are they exaggerating the specs?

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  Год назад +1

      Most of my shoots are under an hour long so I can't attest to the battery longevity but have never had battery issues with either systems.
      With the magnets attached to the clips the transmitters weigh:
      X5: 21.5g
      DJI: 34.7g
      The X5 tends to not make your clothing droop as much when attached due to the lighter weight.

    The DJI sounds best still IMHO.

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  Год назад +1

      @riggsvillareal5467 Год назад +1

      May I ask what is the advantage of having 24 bit instead of 16 bit? Is it really obvious for contents uploaded in youtube or tiktok?

    • @kenyakking
      @kenyakking Год назад

      @@riggsvillareal5467 less noise and more headroom for higher sound spikes. Ideally, floating point recording would be best but those are much more expensive 😞

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  Год назад +1

      @@riggsvillareal5467 Most people believe that the audio quality of 24-bit is better than 16-bit, and scientifically that is true. But while there is a greater dynamic range and less noise, the human ear cannot perceive much difference between the two bit rates. You would really be fine with either system.

      The DJI Mic and the Fulaim X5 can, the Vimo C cannot. With the DJI and Fulaim just plug them into the computer with a USB-C cable, on PC go to your sound settings and under input make sure your receiver is selected. If you have a Mac it should work too, I'm not a Mac guy so I can't tell you the process.

      Yah there is, it looks like the power button@@AerialPixel

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  Год назад +1

      @kupua I have an early release version of the Fulaim X5, maybe they changed something recently. Mine has a power button and a set button. On the RX the Power only turns the power on and off and has no other function with a short press or long press. The RX mode button changes the dB levels when short pressed (mute is not one of the levels), when the mode button is long pressed it changes from Mono, Stereo and Safety Track. On the TX the power button only powers off, the TX mode button turns noise reduction on and off when short pressed and will record internally when long pressed. The manual also makes no mention of a mute option.
      The Comica Vimo C and DJI Mic both have mute buttons. With the Comica the power button on the TX will mute, but you cannot mute on the RX. The DJI Mic can be muted on both the TX and RX.
