No, she fought like hell to keep it out of this trial. But as a psychologist, I’d bet good money Borderline Personality Disorder was definitely among her DSM diagnoses
@@LatinaLatina1011 regardless if there were tears or not, she's a trained performer. i typically believe most defendants unless their story is outlandish. i'm always surprised when i read comments & see how many aren't buying it when i was so convinced. not this time tho. i don't believe her at all. not that my opinion matters so much.
This girl's right up there with Wendy Adelson find a man that wants to be a father and this is how you deal with it What a piece of s***, I was driving while listening to this earlier. She's not believable I hope the jury feels the same way
Where r the psychological tests showing her mental fitness or personality disorders? Where is the investigator assessing the crime scene? Where is the medical examiner addressing the victim being shot while running away? Why isnt the prosecutor PROSECUTING??
Why didn't the prosecutor call the lead detective on this case? I think we've seen evidence that the victim was controlling and abusive. We've only got Ashley's word that it was self defense. But we have zero proof she pre-meditated this and no proof at all that it *wasn't* self defense. I know that abused women act in ways most of us wouldn't understand. I have a friend who still does her husband's laundry even though he flaunts his mistress in front of their kids. She's been abused for years and is completely financially dependent on him, so she complies and "goes along to get along" and just survives. Abusers do a number on the abusee's head. I'm not entirely sure what to believe in this case, but one thing I do believe is that the prosecution hasn't proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt, and I find a lot of their tactics to be incredibly shady. I'd vote to acquit based on that.
I thought so too. Trying to act like a battered woman years later. Eye bags, no makeup, white hairs sticking up out of her head. Crying breaks because she’s trying to hide her lies. She took his life and she’s acting like we should feel sorry for her.
Wow, crazy how Ashley can cry without tears, and how she can turn it on and off so quickly. Also, I loved how the state made her demonstrate what allegedly happened- she did TERRIBLE at that!! So he was moving his arms up and down, with palms straight, and that warranted shooting him?? 🤔 ridiculous
Yesss! I too thought of Amber Heard. Even with the way she has styled herself for this trial- downplayed her looks, no makeup, outgrown gray roots, trying to look downtrodden.
Do you really believe that he did that? I would rather think she's done it. She's a psychopath, she's probably describing what she did. It was exactly the same story with Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. Everything she accused Johnny off, she was guilty of doing. It's gaslighting, narcissists love gaslight people around them and play victim while they are real predators.
I’m watching Ashley testify. She’s crying uncontrollably because she “shot my baby’s father!” Really??!! The man who she did not tell that their daughter was born. She was fighting for FULL CUSTODY of her😳 Crocodile tears!!! Or us Mexicans would say “dicelo a otro perro con ese hueso”!!
I think that Ashley set this man up. Why did she let him help her move? I do NOT buy her fake crying story on the stand. I DON'T believe that this man hit her! Where is the proof? Did they test his hand? Why didn't she give her story before? She tried to say that he poisoned her and the baby...THAT WAS A LIE!! It is also NOT FAIR to parade your daughter with a sign.
I find that the state did not prove its case here. Im sorry they just didnt. I dont buy their motive narrative concerning the hearing. The defense has more corroboration of doug violence.
The idea of her testifying was terrible. I wonder if she's a narcissist, thinking that she could do what so many other defendants were smart enough to not do. Narcissistic people think they can get away with anything.

I was in a relationship with an emotionally abusive, manipulative, jealous, gaslighting creep. And he didn’t physically harm me, but he would demonstrate his physicality to intimidate when angry - punching walls, etc. I finally had enough when he tried to manipulate my 3 year old because he didn’t like me getting along with her dad for the sake of having a healthy co-parenting relationship. I knew he had a handgun, and I called my mom that morning to come pick me up, because I was afraid of an “if I can’t have you nobody will.” I ended up being safe leaving, but he did end up being a stalker for a couple years, despite me going no contact and changing my number, made my life hell.
She knew all these things but had him reverse the vasectomy and got pregnant then left? None of it adds up…I believe about 1/3 of it but I also believe she also had anger management issues…she should have just divorced him instead of this great big elaborate scheme to kill him.

I found her reading of the texts to be artificial, since on cross she read them as though they were unfamiliar, meaningless and disconnected. Meanwhile during direct her defense attorney took the texts out of context and she reacted to them with intense emotion and familiarity. That gave me great pause.
Read between the lines. She was following him around the house throwing a fit because his stuff was mixed in with hers. He had his hands full and bumpered into her a few times while she was following him around throwing a fit.

The "Power and Control Wheel" seems to apply to Ahsley more than it does to Doug. And I'm pretty over Mr Ferris. Counselling with him would be akin to torture.
I do believe her. Sometimes she is unsure , didn't remember, didn't build up a false story. She is aggressively interrogated by the prosecutor, so that she is put in a corner, that made her feeling surpressed and small. Of course there wasn't abuse the whole time. Abuser are sometimes nice and behaves friendly, especially when witnesses are around. Victims don't leave, because they remember the good times and they think it's their own fault and feel responsible and they are hoping the abuser would change. She is very emotional and tried to remember and answered truthfully. She isn't an actor. She showed shame and unsecure feelings. A liar would have built up a story and would answer quicklier and would show safety in his/her words. I didn't see fake tears. That's my opinion with my experiences of abusers, liars and victims.
If she was lying about the abuse, she could have said he choked her or came at her stating he was going to kill her. She did not make up any over the top accusations.
Case of woman wanting a child but not the husband. If im not mistaken, the child did not have his last name. Who's to say she that she didn't put the poison in the tea to look like he did it. What a performance...

@lopezfamily9101 that’s a great point, hadn’t thought of that!
