I'm just gonna say this now. I used to be an Amino app user. But then I was faced with some serious problems. Mainly death threats and discrimination by the creators of multiple communities. I was practically forced to leave the app entirely because of those negative experiences.
Reymond The Fox I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve heard there used to be tons of bots and bad stuff like that, but from what I’ve experienced it’s a lot better now. I found a small community of a book series I enjoy and it is definitely not toxic.
obi wan kenobi BOTW Link’s maybe, if she was alive at the time that is. But BOTW happens thousands of years after the other games so Toon Link’s grandma would’ve been long gone by then.
After I cured grandma, I always made sure whenever I was close to Outset, I would visit her. Not just for the soup, but I was just... I'm okay grandma. I'm okay.
I gotta tell ya, bro. I was raised by my grandmother who never really was in the best of health, and I knew it when I was a kid playing Wind Waker. When I got to the part where the grandma was sick? I actually had tears in my eyes, which is a RARE thing for me in any media. So, yeah. I agree.
Grandma: "I'm a terrible grandma" Koko whenever she forgets an ingredient when she's cooking: "Koko is a bad daughter who can't do anything right" Me: *aggressively spam disagree button*
This side quest is part of why I feel like some people just mash the buttons to get it done asap. Like that's heart wrenching. Koko tries to be so strong and I just wanted to hug her and let her know it's okay to be sad.
I *happened* to have all of the ingredients she needed, so I did kiiiinda breeze through Koko’s Sidequests. But I really just wanted to see everything she had to say! 😅 And I so badly wanted to yell “Stop! You aren’t useless, you only made a mistake!” Pat her on the head a little, too...
The end of the Champion’s Ballad is heartbreaking to me. The memory with the champions getting their picture taken is such a happy moment, but after it’s over, you’re just left standing there in the cruel reality that all of your friends are dead.
Absolutely agree. The whole plot of botw is that EVERYBODY LINK EVER LOVED IS DEAD. I think that this is more depressing than koko. Especially sense Mipha never got the chance to give link her Zora armor. She even says that “yesterday I was awash in a pool of tears. I had nearly given up hope”.
whats worse is if you go to your house afterwards link will hang the picture up by his bed and just stare at it for a moment like he's reminiscing. its so saaaaad
i think the saddest part was in majoras mask, where this girls dad was turned into a monster, so she put him in the basement. She couldnt leave her house either because it was sworming with monsters outside. Just imagine that fear and hoplessness for a tiny girl like that
Personally, the only time I've cried while playing a Zelda game was in the end of BOTW, when you get to see the picture of all the champions together, I can't even really say why
Yeah the feeling of not knowing who you are then slowing remembering you life, your friends and how great they were really made you feel terrible for ever forgetting them, for not being there for them in their final moments and now even though everything is fine and you have defeated the evil of Hyrule, you just can't shake the regret, the remorse, the guilt of knowing all your friends die in a tragic war which you still feel partially guilty for. Basically it's survivor's guilt, the feeling that someone should have survived instead of you
It's the saddest moment for me in Zelda games and maybe in all games or even all fiction I know. In other games there are big tragedies and stuff but somehow most of it doesn't really touch me. Maybe it's the athmosphere of the Zelda games that makes me more emotional because everything and everyone is so nice and loveable.
@@schmebulock4567 I think it is because Zelda games are really light-hearted and peaceful at face value, so when little moments of realism and darkness reveal themselves like this, it hits like a freight-train.
The subtle details about your grandma in Wind Waker make it even sadder. For starters, I want to draw attention to a quote from King Theoden in the second Lord of the Rings movie: "No parent should have to bury their child" Your grandma in the game clearly had to deal with outliving Link and Aryll's parents, a hard enough burden. This is only made worse by the worry of also outliving her grandchildren, as well as the guilt of not being able to do anything to help as their guardian.
The fact that she can't do anything makes it so heartbreaking. We as Link see our sister getting kidnapped by Helmarock King - so we grab our sword and go rescue her. But grandma can't do anything. Just because she's too old. That must feel horrible.
@@TheHitsubasa That sounds great! ^^ I googled "the wind waker grandma hero" and found this: smgoetter.tumblr.com/post/97302966740/wind-waker-au-where-link-and-aryll-are-kidnapped
Saria's goodbye as a forest sage always gets to me, just so many layers in so little game time- growing up and apart, she still being the good caring friend you always knew her to be, understanding the courage it took to go into the forest temple, and understanding that's where she met her eventual fate
tSkele It would’ve really helped that part if “Midna’s Lament” actually played the whole time and wasn’t constantly overtaken by the “enemy encounter” theme
Master Oogway in memory 18, when zelda is crying over link’s body, the master sword begins to light up and makes fi’s sound, and a few notes of fi’s theme are heard
The saddest moment in my opinion is when Mipha says "father are you well..I wonder...I wish I could see you again, even just once more" that cut scene broke my heart and at that moment I really fell in love with zelda botw
@Bucket List Yeah I really wish there was a moment where the Champions' descendants were united and we got to see them grow into the roles of their predecessors. 'Twould've been a lot cooler.
@Bucket List breath of the Wild is not worse than the Adventure of Link that game is more frustrating than fun unless you use a guide and even then... Breath of the Wild has a lot of good things the overworld is bigger than we could've ever hoped before and the physics engine is very innovative and I look forward to what they will do with it next time! Finding the memory locations and the shrines was a very fun challenge too! But I agree with you that the Dungeons if you can call them that are really really bad! Too similar, too short, no mini boss, no new items that redefine how we go thru that dungeon and the overworld afterward... Their biggest mistake in my opinion was to give the 4 abilities at the great plateau and no more because they wanted to allow people to do everything from then on but that limits the fresh excitement from playing the Dungeons and getting something truly gamechanging! Botw is a two steps forward one step back kind of game to me fun and filled with stuff to do in some aspects but loses too much of our favorite parts of past Zelda games including all the exciting minigames and worthwhile sidequests! Hopefully they take our criticisms to heart for next time and make an even better Zelda game!
The mirror was shattered before, Link could just collect the parts again. What she probably meant with breaking it is that her people will be safer if the portal does not open ever again.
@@FMHikari I believe it's stated in the game that the reason why the mirror was able to be fixed had to do with who broke it. Midna's shattering of the mirror is very different from it being broken by... Wast it Zant or Ganon? Can't remember. Either way, I believe it's heavily implied that Midna breaking it is permanent. That said, while a sad moment, no moment in Zelda has had me put down the controller to take moment like when Zelda explains everything to Link in Skyward Sword. Her regret for the actions she took (using Link's relationship with her as a means to force him to become the hero he was meant to be ), Link's reaction, and Zelda's request making the adventure to save her feel all the more personal... imo, it is the most expertly crafted scene in the entire series, and all without any voiced dialogue.
7:30 When you talk to that little girl when it’s raining, she says something like : -“I used to hate rain but it’s different now, thanks to it, people can’t see me crying” 😭
Her grief is what made me learn to stop fearing the Yiga and despise them, in fact I used an ancient arrow on one to kill him to avenge her mother the way they try to avenge their leader
When I heard Koko crying for the first time, it was raining, and she said "(I) used to be afraid of the rain, now (I'm) not. The rain is a veil, it hides many things. (I) can cry and mommy won't know" I crouched beside her until she was ready to go hang out by the cook pot. I might have cried because I couldn't actually hug her
I have about 450+ hours in the game and i am still finding new things. Talking to NPCs at different times and even weather conditions can yield different dialogue. This game is truly a treasure!
Fi's farewell made me a tear up a bit, but the only moment in any Zelda game that absolutely broke me was the loss of Impa in 𝘚𝘬𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘚𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥. "...See? I told you we'd meet again." And then her cherished bracelet from Zelda falls to the ground as her spirit departs.
After i beat Demise i instandly started to cry and sob really gross and it became even worse as the ending of Skyward Sword continued. So now i sat there, crying like i could die at any moment, all alone😂........................ And then my dad came in and asked me, shocked: "Child! What happend??? Why are you crying?!?!". I couldn't see anything because of the tears so i still looked at my screen and cried:"My favorite Game ended and it was very saaaaaad..... I need a huuuug😭". So my dad laughed really hard at me and hugged me😂😂😂
That was sad yet promising since the name of Impa will be cherished by Zelda to the point of her giving that name to her care taker. But Fi is one of a kind, reminds you that all of Link's companions leave him in the end.
the scene at the earth spring also broke me, which i’ve never seen anyone else mention. with the incredibly sad music known as ‘separation’ playing in the background, link and zelda see each other in person for the first time in a while, yet aren’t allowed to go to each other. after zelda leaves without explaining, impa tells link that zelda was almost captured because he was late. this moment of brutal honesty and shame really struck me hard. once again, link is then left alone in the earth spring, without an understanding of where zelda is, with the mysterious and mournful spring music playing. finally, he imagines a memory of zelda in front of him, happy and smiling as she once was, before the mirage fades away and leaves nothing but the stare of the stone goddess statue.
See. THAT moment, I would call sad. Not the rest of these 5. There was a co-dependent, unhealthy to healthy relationship between Link and Midna. At first, it was a Master and Servant situation. You went along with her because you didn't really have a choice. Then you learned her past, her struggles, and save her friggen life, and it becomes a healthy, equal partnership. You went through hardships, trauma, happiness, successes, failures, trails, and victory! Then...you remember that these people are from different worlds. They can't be partners forever. THAT is sadness. THAT is tragedy. Not this "World gunna esplode BAD FEELS NOW BEEP BEEP BEEP" crap. Winning the game meaning two loving people losing each other forever? THAT is a tragedy.
@@Nickle_King I couldn't agree more, I've played so many of these games and experienced a lot of these sad moments but the most painful moment was when Midna and Link were separated, they grew together across the whole game and I never felt a love for a character like I had with Midna. Twilight Princess is such an underrated title, I wish more people saw how good it was.
My grandma is a little old lady about 4'8" tall; she always reminded me of the Wind Waker grandma and when I was little I used to joke about cosplaying as Aryll and having her dress up as Grandma. Last year, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and it resulted in one of the most stressful and horrible summers in my life. Not only was it hard to see the sweetest person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing in my life become thin and weak, it was a reminder that she could leave at any moment. Thankfully, she pulled through! She's cancer free, and she's happier than ever. However, she's now living far away in Seattle (I live in Puerto Rico), where she's gotten better care than she could ever hope for here. I used to see her almost every weekend, and now I don't get to do that. I know she's fine, and she writes to me, and we share calls, but... it's really not the same. So basically, I don't think I could play Wind Waker again after having an experience like that. I already almost cried the first time I played WW when I was a child.
@@zachary9092 Yes! She's doing just fine and feeling better every day. I still haven't seen her in over a year, but my uncle sends pictures of her almost daily.
I mean, that’s what Majora’s Mask was about. Link was unable to save any of the 3 transformations. They all died with regrets. Two of them even had kids
"May we meet again, in another life"... Then thousands of years later, Fi reaches to Zelda from within the sword to save her new master in the last memory of Breath of the Wild 😥
@@Crustystreet123 They meant the 13th memory. As in the memories you find using images to correlate the location and press A on a glowing spot. The other five are part of larger cutscenes.
I think one of the saddest ones is when Link and Zelda were finally reunited in Skyward Sword but then Zelda was sealed inside that crystal. Her last words to him were so touching and you could even see Link crying or at least on the verge of tears
to me it's when she almost told link that she loved but was cut short by calmity ganon and she's dead and she never got to tell link that.. she loved her
One of moments I consider the saddest is in Twilight Princess, when you found out that Queen Rutella, Prince Ralis’ mother, was murdered and she asks you to guide him. I remember the first time I played it and came across that part. It was heartbreaking.
The entire segment after bringing Ralis to Kakariko will never not send chills down my spine. Finally seeing Rutella at peace and fading as dawn approaches...
The whole sequence is beautiful. You’re taking to Thelma I’m front of the hotel first after a pretty lightheaded side quest and then after she goes back inside you turn around, and there’s Rutella, totally unexpected, this regal, ethereal form wordlessly beckons you to follow, and then the music starts to fade in. Being a long time Zelda fan this was one of the details that made the whole thing more profound. You start to realize where she’s leading you to, and then once you enter the cemetery she gives her final request, cue the water works. The whole thing is so sad. Also I couldn’t imagine, nor would I envy being in Link’s shoes once the prince wakes up, and having to tell him what happened to his mother. For being a video game it’s extremely well done. I admit all the other ones are really sad but Rutella storyline is the only time I ever cried in a Zelda game. I came really close with the Pamela and her father scene, as well and Anju and Kafei, but something about this one got to me.
I know this is an entire game I’m talking about, not just a moment, but Breath of the Wild Link’s entire existence is sad. He wakes up, and is given such a difficult task of killing a great, powerful embodiment of evil, trekking through deserts and mountains and falling in lava, hungry but persisting through the rain, for years. All by himself. He has nothing but the occasional horse, wolf, npc to keep him company, and along his way to complete his final duty, he helps so many people, from a small child wishing to cook for her sister to a diseased man that needs meat to survive, putting EVERYONE’S lives before his own. Yet he gets no compensation. A silent hero, alone in the wilderness, with no memory of his life, just glimpses of it. And it’s fighting Ganon WITHOUT these memories, WITHOUT companions, WITHOUT ANYTHING, that makes me feel like he is the strongest Link.
And we may never know whether Link be able to make peace with himself, considered that those he believed more worthy than him died, and he have failed everyone, including his family. Even when the spirit of his deceased friends - the former Champions - aid him both in power and emotional support, we may never know if he can believed all of it is true. And THEN whether Link’s mental can be afflicted with Malice is another matter, but I don’t think this is possible
@@vihuynhquang5204 I never noticed, but my way-over-the-top might-not-even-be-possible mod concept actually remedies that as well. Basically, a new important character named Mystena (she has control over dimensions) manages to save the four Champions and has them take shelter in a chaos realm. However, then her sceptre is shattered, which causes said chaos realm to fall apart, so everyone assumes (in the backstory) they died anyway. (By the time Link wakes up, Mystena found out that not only are the Champions alive and relatively well, but regaining the shards of her sceptre and putting them back together will let them return to Hyrule. Which, of course, becomes integrated with the main questline. But that's another story.) Her involvment weaves through the (story and) backstory all the way up to the final memory, where it's not Zelda's awakened powers tht save Link, but Mystena with a hailstorm of Ancient Arrows from a 10-shot bow. She then heals Link and Zelda with a Hearty Potion (In a new memory that is found earlier but takes place later, Link is hit with a mysterious poison the Hearty Potion has no power against, but the Shrine of Resurrection can help with that). In the next scene of the same memory where Mystena speaks of how they now have to survive for each other, I actually had it be Link who speaks up for once and says "Then we will survive - for one another and for Hyrule!" It's that sentence that gives Zelda the hope needed to activate her powers, but from your remark I realized it also shows that for Link, there's not really such thing as having to make peace with himself - something killed his friends, and he has to and will keep fighting that something until it stops causing harm. No feeling of having failed, just determination.
oot link was brought to a place far from home, had to let hyrule die for 7 years, was forced to defeat ganondorf, had to deal with 2 terrible desicions by zelda, one of which sending him back to childhood, then he had to run far from hyrule, was sent to a dream land with the possibility of dying at any moment, then he lived alone for the rest of his life, and he never got to teach his techniques until twilight princess, where he is, in fact, long dead. At least botw link actually got a happy ending! oot links is just depressing. especially having an appearance in twilight princess.
At least his relationship with Zelda recovered in TotK. Then Ganondorf goes ahead and rips them apart again (literally, RIP Link's right arm 2017-2023)
I've always felt the alcoholic content of Chateau Romani in the Cremia and Romani scene was overblown by the fandom. I've always viewed it far less of a "drugged to dull pain" concept as it is, "give her this thing she's been looking forward to now, because you won't get another chance"
I haven’t played Majoras mask, but since the girl gave her sister alcohol and sealed her away into a slumber, the girl still never woke up even though the world was saved right?
I always took it as it was a right of passage that she would have gone through once she got older. And as far as the older sister was concerned there wouldn't be another chance. Sharing a bed to be together at the end of the world. Cremia was probably hoping her younger sister would sleep through it whilst everyone else would be to terrified to sleep.
Breath of the Wild's story had plenty of sad moments by itself. Zelda's failure to save almost everyone she loved... Mipha never getting the chance to be with Link... (Even though I don't ship her with him.) Zelda remembering her mother with Urbosa... Zelda's father berating her for her lack of dedication to her task... The picture of the Champions... And finally, when Zelda thought she lost Link when he was all she had left...
It’s also important to realize that her kingdom fell, her father was killed, Link was basically killed, her home destroyed, and her friends all killed on her birthday.
The saddest part of Botw for me was when I read the king’s journal where he says that he has only been so tough on Zelda in hopes that her power will awaken; He was willing to have Zelda hate him so she could save Hyrule. He then says that if Zelda’s power doesn’t awaken at the spring of wisdom (the last place Zelda was before Gannon came) he would apologize and start being nicer as his strict ways haven’t worked. But Gannon attacks before Zelda ever sees her father again so they never got to be on good terms.
@@LT-xc9cs Kinda like my mom and I. S my mom had cancer and the only thing that she wanted was to see me just one more time before her time comes. The part that really hits me is that when I went to go get her something (when i was gone) she died.
ollie burnik I am sorry for your loss and I wish you and your family my condolences but I’m sure your mother would not want you to live the rest of your life regretting not being there at the time of her passing as you had no way of knowing when she would pass away. It is hard to lose a loved one but try to be grateful for the time you spent with them. Just know that even if she is gone her love for you is not and your memory of her will always be there. It won’t be easy but keep pushing forward and try to live the best life you can if not for yourself, then for your mother.
One of my saddest moments in any Zelda game: when I hit my first invisible wall at the edge of the map in BOTW. It was such a terrible moment when I reached the edge of what had felt like an endless world without limitations.
Dude that hurts with every Zelda game, but I can only imagine how bad that is in botw. Just got the game recently and I almost cried earlier because the game is so beautiful and it makes me feel so free. Idk how I’m gonna handle it when I finally meet the edge of the map. I love tloz so much I never want it to end
The thing that makes me the most sad is the damn spikes to the north east of death mountain. Like they look so neat and amazing, and they’re next to the ocean and a bottomless pit so my mind is like “hEh, Revali’s Gale Time-“ and then it slaps you in the face with the “You can’t go further”. I felt so mad, and I thought “at least make giant cliffs that reach the sky, or make something that doesn’t peak my curiosity” ;-;. Nintendo, if ya put a giant plateau next to something that seems so interesting, you’re just gonna make me cry. If I’m not wrong also, there’s a named mountain/hill in the Gerudo Mountain area, and I placed a pin there seeing as I hadn’t explored there before. When I began to climb, however, the same. damned. message. appeared. Why do you name something inaccessible? I cried enough with the mipha’s backstory, please stop.
For me its when you Dont save Romani and the ranch. When you first go to the ranch shes like the Happiest child ever. so much joy and wonder but then They take her and then shes just cold and lifeless and she stares right through you with those cold dead eyes. just really upsetting to see such a happy child so void of emotion.
That was definitely the creepiest, most upsetting thing in the game. I actually tortured myself a lot thinking that I only actually saved her once, but played the song of time countless times, so I condemned her to bring abducted so so many times :'(
I lost my grandma last year, and man, replaying Wind Waker and getting to the part where you see Link’s Grandma sick and bedridden hit me harder than I was expecting it to...
I always thought a sad moment was Zelda being sealed in amber to help maintain the seal on The Imprisonmened. Everything Link had done to that point was to find Zelda and as soon as you find her you have to say goodbye again. That moment where he pounds on the amber really gets me. And really the whole game is that singular purpose, to find Zelda. That also makes the scene where they walk out together holding hands so much better.
There are two moments that made me cry in a Zelda game. (Actually there's probably more, but these were the two that stood out to me.) The first one was Midna leaving - I started sobbing when she left. Midna is probably my favorite Zelda character of all time. I really wish she had stayed. The second one was in Ocarina of Time. After you go to the forest temple for the first time and you see Saria's abandoned stump, and Link approaches slowly. And then Sheik makes the comment about memories of younger days. That one always hit me hard.
The second one hit me hard too. Especially after Saria gives you the Forest Medallion and the words "Saria will always be.....your friend..." appear on the screen as it fades out.
Dont know if you guys know him, a youtuber called MajorLink who makes amazing animations. He made one about that moment from OOT and it made me cry the first time
One of the saddest moments, for me, is thinking about how Mipha's family might have been coping with her death (especially considering that they've still been living a century after her death).
I think one of my favorite moments would be the dying knight of Hyrule in Ocarina of Time. The people apparently aren't aware of Zelda fleeing, but this man stood up to -Ganondorf-.
Apparently, draft versions included that Gannondorf had some human, non-Gerudo collaborators, and that last segment before the opening of the Door of Time might of had open warfare in Castle Town between this factions and the Guard--- and that he might be, basically; left over code from this version; hence why he disappears afterwards and there's no mention or marker of him afterwards. He should be honored and remembered, like Green Biker Dude from the Megaman X2 intro.
I always found Mikau and Darmani's death to be quite emotional. As they agree to leave the world of the living, their soul accompanied by the soothing, but puzzling melody of the Song of Healing, they remember and are thus, again, surrounded by the people they loved and vowed to protect... at any cost. Such moments perfectly represent the Song of Healing's essence: grief and peace going hand in hand. Majora's Mask was such a special game overall ^^
Talking to all the Zora made me so emotional when they started talking about Mikau and how they were happy he was back. Made me wish I could make it able for him to go back after the fight with Majora...
My personal favorite sad moment is Link and Zelda in the forest in one of the memories in BotW Zelda's realization that the people she loved, including her father had been murdered and her breakdown hits me hard
For me it's the entirety of Queen Rutella's story through TP. To end it off by her saying tell my son I'll always walk with him and love him (not sure of the exact moment), makes me break down every time.
The saddest moment for me is in Link's Awakening. Marin felt in love with Link, she just wanted to leave the island and see the world with him, but no. Being just a dream and Link a real human, him and Marin couldn't be together, and they'll never meet again, without even having said goodbye to each other.
Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game so back then, I didn't even knew who Zelda or Malon or any other characters outside of Link's Awakening were. So I kept pairing Link and Marin together too and wanted them to end up together at the end. It has been 22 years since I first played Link's Awakening and it still is the saddest game for me.
Aww! I always think about the Island of Koholint, and Marin, every time I visit the beach, and ocean! ^_^ I usually try to listen to the 'Ballad of the Wind Fish' when I'm there too! :D
I agree this is one of the saddest moments in all of Zelda if you beat the game without dying the credits show seagulls and a video of marin starts playing with the ballad of the windfish implying that her wish to the windfish was granted she just had to become a seagull
When Midna leaves in TP and when the king of Hyrule surrenders at the end of WW always break my heart. Also when the grandma in Oracle of Ages says to his grandchild that she wants to be called grandma again as he is turned into stone by veran a supremely underrated sad moment, mostly because people haven't played the oracle games
Grandma tore me up man I was too young for those feels. Played this during recess with friends and we cried like a bitch returning to class. The girls didn’t understand, but our teacher (also played WW) knew what happened.
The saddest moments for me besides midna leaving was in ocarina of Time as you find out who the sages are and that they have to stay in that realm to seal Gannon..
F*ck. When I realized what I was seeing when I played the scene of the Chateau Romani... I started tearing up. To me is one of the deepest and saddest scene I ever played in a videogame (not only Zelda's). It deals with hopeless love, with the impotence to save and help the most important person in the world to you. Great scene, man.
Don’t know if this counts, it really doesn’t count, buuuuut...the fact Link in BOTW looses all his memories, even his childhood memories. He wakes up with no idea who he is and told to save a princess he has no idea about in a kingdom he doesn’t know. Despite earning some memories we don’t know anything really of Link other then in Mipha’s diary saying that over time he stopped talking and smiled even less. And in Zelda’s diary he doesn’t talk due to the pressure of defeating the Calamity. And while Zelda was crying her eyes out of about leaving everyone to die, Link is just...silent. And comforts her. What about Link’s life? What about his family and friends? The Calamity would have killed his family too and he says...NOTHING! And wakes up with NOTHING! I don’t know what’s more tragic, Zelda or Link in BOTW? Give the boy a hug, please!
Yeah. Whenever I play through, I always imagine Link wondering about his life apart from a Champion and Zelda's knight. How did he feel about things and what could he want to do after fighting Gannon? He pretty much has no one at all after he wakes up. I guess that's one of the reasons why I like visiting Zora's Domain in BotW: that's the closest thing to family and friends he has anymore.
@@avereynakama9854 because of this I defeated Ganon in the Zora's Armor, since Mipha made the chestplate for him, even though I had gone to all the trouble to fully upgrade the soldier's armor and champion's tunic
It’s kinda interesting because that’s how he is in every Zelda game, like he wakes up one day and a family/friend is calling his name and minutes later he’s this courageous (yet nearly emotionless) hero out saving the world.
@@crimeslime5419 Yeah. I feel like, of all the Zelda games Skyward Sword Link has the most emotion, but still, you would think that someone with the weight of the world on their shoulders would have the most emotion of any character in the game.
When I first played Wind Waker and saw how Link's grandma reacted to the situation, I had to call my own grandma just to tell her that I love her. Anju & Kafei and Pamela & her father in Majora's Mask hit me right in the feels too.
What really hits home is because shes your only family member who will constantly worry about both if her kids and it hurts to leave because its gonna make her sad 😣
I think one of the saddest things I first came across was when the poor soldier in ocarina of time dies in the alleyway. It’s so eerie because everyone in the town is acting normal like nothings wrong and a life is lost just around the corner...
@@dabmonstr7403 Ever been to The Back Alley in Hyrule Castle Town? If you go to that location right after Zelda and Impa flee Hyrule, but before Link pulls the master sword, you can find the dead soldier event.
@@dabmonstr7403 it's quite easy to miss. Most do, iirc. Wounded guard is hiding in the alley in Castle Town. Talk to him, and he telld you what happened re: Ganondorf, Impa and Zelda, and then promptly dies. He may be a remnant of a deleted scene.
@@literallyanangrymoose7717 I've played that game so many times and I've never seen that! Man, I hope I get another opportunity to play someday and that I don't forget about this if I do.
Link's Awakening.... The entire thing. You go through a fun and happy world only to realize that the whole thing was a dream. The end of the game means the end of all the characters you've come to love. The only Zelda game where you question whether or not you actually want to beat it. What a nightmare! (See what I did there?)
I'm glad I never finished this game. ^^ But even reading about the ending was sad. On the other hand somehow every game ends like this. When you've finished a game the whole world you saved and everything on it just 'stops'. Nothing happens after the end. All you can do now is loading your last save to get back to the world before you saved it or replaying the whole game - just like Link who will never see what Koholint is like after he woke up the windfish. The only thing he can do is remembering the island and the people he met there.
Honestly, I'm actually surprised there wasn't a Nightmare Link battle at the end of the game; there was Agahnim, Ganon, and even a Buzz Blob... I still think a Dark Link battle sequence could've been nice there.
When I was young I was always saddened when Link plays the flute to the flute player for the last time before he died/turned into a tree in Link to the Past.
This was one of my saddest Zelda moments too. A Link to the Past was my first Zelda game as a little kid and I still can remember that being one of the first times I ever felt... I guess real emptiness. I used to leave my Gameboy sitting around while I listened to him play the flute for all the animals, and I remember just feeling profoundly empty and lonely after completing his story and he became part of the tree stump. I still get tears in my eyes when I hear the ocarina melody from that game
There is something more that I love about Fi's farewell, but it wasn't possible in english versions of the game because of the grammatical use of "you". To explain it, I don't know if it's the case in other languages like spanish, italian, german... etc but in french, during the game, Fi speaks to Link with a mark of respect (named "vouvoiement" in french, it's the same for the plural "you"), and at the end of the game, during her last words, she speaks to Link more directly, using the "tutoiement" (singular "you") and it gives it an intimate effect that really strucked me. It really looked like Fi was more than a comrade for Link, but a friend, even a part of his family.
Oh my god I'm french too, and me too it just broke my heart to see how close they really were😭😭😭Je l'aimais pas trop, mais de l'avoir fait partir m'a fait verser des larmes.... ;(
@@ladyducoeur7073 I played the game in german, and it's the same there. We have "Du" which means "you" We use it when we speak to friends or family. Then we have "Sie" which also means "you". We use that when we speak with people we're not so close with or people we respect. We use it, for example, when we talk to our teachers in school or when we talk to our boss at work. Or simply when we talk to strangers in general. And then we have "Ihr" which also means "you" This is the highest form of respect and isn't used anymore in this day and age. It was used, when people talked to kings or when servants spoke to their masters. In SS Fi referred to Link as "Ihr". She was a servant speaking to her master. But when she bid her farewell she used "Du". It was really touching.
@@Ultimabuster92 Glad to see that it was the same case in german ! It's a really touching detail, and when I saw the video of Zeltik, I realized that this detail couldn't appear in english versions.
I agree with your number 1 choice. I feel like Midna's Farewell could have been added, but I'm not sure where to rank it. Thank you for including Koko and Cottla and Majora's Mask moments (especially the End of the World).
8:57 Some of you may know this, but in Majora's Mask, the way the people react, and the order that you encounter them match up perfectly with the Kübler-Ross model of grief; that states when somone is confronted with grief, they go through five distinct emotional phases: Denial Anger Bargaining Depression & Acceptance. First you have Clocktown, where all the people are in denial, for example Muto the Carpenter calling the falling moon a groundless theory. Then you reach woodfall, the Deku princess is kidnapped and the King reacts by lashing out at an innocent monkey, there we have our second phase: Anger. Then you reach Snowhead, Darmani is dead and he asks link to use his magic to revive him, Bargaining. Trying to make a deal to prolong his life Then you reach Great Bay, where you have Lulu, the Zora singer. A mother who lost her children, and she just stands there, overcome with Depression. Then you reach Ikana valley, a place of acceptance, where you have to climb the stone tower and get the item of Stone Tower Temple, the Light Arrows.
So wait...is the juxtaposition of the outside of the moon vs the inside supposed to reflect the like contrast between the feeling the idea of death brings to the living vs the peace that it's actually considered to be? And if that's the case, what do the moon children and their masks represent? What does the final battle represent?
"...land, monster, sea, sky... A scene on the lid of a dreamer's eye..." What happens when your heroic journey means that everyone you've met on the way must cease to exist? The saddest moment in Zelda history - waking the Wind Fish in Link's Awakening. The song taught by the first character you meet - a young girl named Marin - a kind-hearted girl who spreads joy to all who would listen to her song, "The Ballad of the Wind Fish". For the first time in the series, you meet a character, journey with them and learn about them. They want to see the world beyond their small island of Koholint. You speak with her, listen to her... she aids you on your quest when you become stuck and rescue her when she becomes trapped herself. But in the end... like everyone else on the island... she part of the Wind Fish's dream. To wake the Wind Fish and continue your journey, you must erase Koholint Isle and all of it's inhabitants from existence... including Marin... the last thing you see before everything fades to white... the haunting song she sings the last thing you... or anyone else on the island hear. It's one of the darkest, most tragic moments in the series... capped by the sadness of a beautiful song that echoes into silence. Anyone who's played that game will feel emotional to this day from hearing that song... because it left a scar on the hearts who heard it last.
N64 Glenn Plant Thanks for the sympathy, but I wasn’t intending on implying that I have a miserable life. I was more meaning that I adore the song of storms, so would listen to it all day long. Thanks for the concern though!
I always thought it was so sad in Twilight Princess to visit the houses in Ordon village after the children have been taken. As always, Koji Kondo did a brilliant job created a hauntingly sad atmosphere with the music.
Flute boy in ALTTP turning into a tree, plus talking to his father in Kakariko village where he says: ‘Oh this is my son’s flute, did you meet my son? Where is he? Is he alright? Oh I can tell what you want to say by the look in your eyes’.
Farewell Midna was indeed sad, but when I played the game it somehow felt more like a relief and was ready for that, because it was for the better. The moment related to Midna that truly broke my heart was when she was on the verge of death and Zelda sacrificed herself to aid her, GOD I was so worried.
I'd say Zelda's diary in Hyrule Castle, as well as her father's diary are one for me. He wasn't the best of parents to her and constantly pushed her to do things she didn't enjoy doing. They never got to make up due to his untimely death some time after the kingdom's fall.
I think botw just as a whole is sad because of the history from one hundred years ago and how so many people have died, as well as all the ruins you see as you adventure through hyrule
Omg I'm just crying for Grandma it just breaks my heart to see her so broken yet I thought it was only a rumor that you could save her with a fairy so I always thought the only time you could see her was at the begìnning of the game and I found it so cruel and heartbreaking because the first time I could go back on outset island I was like "hold on Grandma I'm coming back home " and I was expecting to soothe her ... But when I get back home today I'll go see her with a fairy so I can talk to her again 😭😭😭 thank you (There is also the fact she reminds me of my diseased great grandmother 😢😢😞😞)
Link's facial expression during Fi's farewell always hit me way too hard, he's trying to smile but his eyes are so sad. I didn't want to say goodbye almost as much as Link, especially because I actually like Fi as a character. That moment in the last BoTW memory when we hear her sword voice gave me chills, hope she interacts with Link at least once in that way in ToTK.
The Sheikah daughters one just broke me and what makes it worse is that it's Mothers Day. That one hit me even harder than Cremia and Romani, and that's factoring in the fact that I'm a lifelong farmer who can relate to them on a very deep level. Also, I watched your content A LOT a year or two back, along with some other great content creators who focused on Zelda, like Konrad of CW, Andy of MacIntyre, Dr. Wily, RMFH, Zelda Conqueror, and the (presumably) late and great Vortexxy, God rest her soul. A few of them are still around and fewer are still doing Zelda content, but you're the only dedicated ZeldaTuber left whom I used to watch loyally back in the day. Now that I've returned to the Zelda community (I departed so as not to be negative toward anyone during the Breath of the Wild days, and, while I didn't enjoy the game at all, I'm glad so many did!), I'm so thankful to see you still here, not only the last hero standing and not only still making Zelda content, but making Zelda content that's even better than the already-amazing videos you made back in the day. I don't remember if I had my channel already back then, but I'm happy and honored to be subscribed to you for the first time today, Zeltik. Thanks for always being here and for being, in this mediocre let's players opinion, the finest and most upstanding member of our groovy Zelda community.
One of my favorite sad moments is in Majora’s Mask when you find the Goron fatherand tell him that his son is crying. That phrasing of “...whether you be a ghost or a figment of my imagination, I no longer care.”, breaks my heart. His struggle with the cold to remember his sons bed lullaby, although comical in some sense, makes it more glooming.
When I was a kid, it took me a while to leave Outset Island as I was worried about the Grandma, I didn't want to leave her. It took me a while, but I eventually progressed. I was happy upon returning to Outset to find her okay and happy.
The saddest moment to me in twilight princess was Midna getting light blasted, saving you and staying behind alone against ganondorf, and saying goodbye.
How come Navi’s disappearance isn’t on the list? That was really sad Link’s friend who stuck with him through thick and thin giving helpful advice flew off most likely died.
@Hamonion nah he had a family. Twilight princess is proof of it. That hero is his descendant and he is the hero’s shade. He died without any acknowledgement from others that was his regret. Both of his adventures are unprovable since the first one is undone by telling Zelda and his second one involves finding a certain tree in the lost woods and it is in a part he never explored as a kid so finding it again is basically impossible.
Cremia and Romani on the last day are so heartbreaking. They share such a close sisterly bond, its just beautiful. The fact Cremia knows she cant save either of them and just wants to spend her last living moments with her younger sister makes me tear up every time... While all the other ones on this list are sad, that one is my pick for the saddest...
Blue Man 4 You could quite literally put all majora’s mask game on the list: The moon falling ending everyone , Anju and kafei sideqest, the Kings of Ikana regrets, Pamela and her father, Skull kid’s backstory, Malon and Romani last moments before the final day, the Deku butler losing his son, darmanin and Mikau death, the Gordon elder sons realizing his dad died in the storm, even that little moment between you and the bartender where he comments staying on Terminia on it’s final hours was worth it because he was able to once again and for the last like one of his favorite costumers (you the player) was very heart wrenching.
carmen a. gonzalez rios don’t forget the eldest Gormon brother crying after you gather the three main story masks in the game and play all parts of the song for the conductor at the bar. That moment is often overlooked, but is definitely sad.
The saddest Zelda moment for me was when child Link leaves Kokiri Forest for the 1st time and Saria confronts him on the bridge about it right before he leaves... She gives him her most precious possession before she silently watches him run off, knowing that even though she loves him, becuz of what they are, they can never truly be together... Saria must endure this loneliness as the Sage of the Forest till the end of time~
While I dont think this scene is as depressing as this top because a lot of information aren't given to the player at the time you saw it, I think the Saria tale is very depressing in OoT as a whole, her song echoing to the wood for the eternity hidding in aptempt to hide her loneliness.
When I was a kid playing Majora for the first time the way that Darmani couldn't deal with his own death and the way the old goron man was determined to finish his quest despite being frozen in ice hit me pretty hard

I hate koko, all she knows to do is cry about how she is useless, which btw she is.
The memory with the champions getting their picture taken is such a happy moment, but after it’s over, you’re just left standing there in the cruel reality that all of your friends are dead.
to be fair tho, its kinda funny
Absolutely agree. The whole plot of botw is that EVERYBODY LINK EVER LOVED IS DEAD. I think that this is more depressing than koko. Especially sense Mipha never got the chance to give link her Zora armor. She even says that “yesterday I was awash in a pool of tears. I had nearly given up hope”.
whats worse is if you go to your house afterwards link will hang the picture up by his bed and just stare at it for a moment like he's reminiscing. its so saaaaad
Conner Sowles afterwards? After what, after you beat Ganon?
after you beat the champions ballad and get the photo from birdy boi
i think the saddest part was in majoras mask, where this girls dad was turned into a monster, so she put him in the basement. She couldnt leave her house either because it was sworming with monsters outside. Just imagine that fear and hoplessness for a tiny girl like that
Just came here to say this one. Just remembered this was a thing.
That is horrifying.. I need to play these games
Krixen 23 you definitely do!
I agree with this. That one tore me to pieces big time. But Majora's Mask was the most heartbreaking Zelda anyway.
The little scene after the song of healing there always gets to me.
Personally, the only time I've cried while playing a Zelda game was in the end of BOTW, when you get to see the picture of all the champions together, I can't even really say why
i feel like link would love to see his friend. but, could never do it again
IM NOT CRYING UR CRYING
@@soudelnoop that damn ninja must be cutting onion again
Maybe because they all are DEAD
Yeah the feeling of not knowing who you are then slowing remembering you life, your friends and how great they were really made you feel terrible for ever forgetting them, for not being there for them in their final moments and now even though everything is fine and you have defeated the evil of Hyrule, you just can't shake the regret, the remorse, the guilt of knowing all your friends die in a tragic war which you still feel partially guilty for. Basically it's survivor's guilt, the feeling that someone should have survived instead of you
No joke Link’s grandmother actually made me cry pretty hard
Who doesn’t get heartbroken over a sad grandma?
It's the saddest moment for me in Zelda games and maybe in all games or even all fiction I know. In other games there are big tragedies and stuff but somehow most of it doesn't really touch me. Maybe it's the athmosphere of the Zelda games that makes me more emotional because everything and everyone is so nice and loveable.
Does that to me every time I play through WW.
@@schmebulock4567 I think it is because Zelda games are really light-hearted and peaceful at face value, so when little moments of realism and darkness reveal themselves like this, it hits like a freight-train.
@@juice2307 I think you're right.
The subtle details about your grandma in Wind Waker make it even sadder.
For starters, I want to draw attention to a quote from King Theoden in the second Lord of the Rings movie:
"No parent should have to bury their child"
Your grandma in the game clearly had to deal with outliving Link and Aryll's parents, a hard enough burden.

No Midna saying goodbye and shattering the mirror behind her, forever separating her and Link?

Yeah, meet again, fade away again, this is not cool...
It actually made me legit cry and I want to give impa a hug
YOU FORGOT MIDNA LEAVING LINK MY HEART BROKE DURING THAT
I was looking for this comment! That’s my personal saddest moment

I mean, there's also Darmani and Mikau...
I mean, that’s what Majora’s Mask was about. Link was unable to save any of the 3 transformations. They all died with regrets. Two of them even had kids

One of moments I consider the saddest is in Twilight Princess, when you found out that Queen Rutella, Prince Ralis’ mother, was murdered and she asks you to guide him.
I remember the first time I played it and came across that part. It was heartbreaking.
The music in that scene broke my heart the first time.
@@8jesusramirez9 The music in that scene (if I'm correct) is Serenade of Water, the same one from Ocarina of Time.
@@jamesvalle9079 Yeah I know, it broke my heart because of that fact.
Grandma has genuinely made me cry before playing through Wind Waker, such a character...
Oof. The saddest part of The Legend of Zelda is when Mario died.
MJTRadio it’s sold at a bar and it’s adults only...
its pretty sad either way
exactly what I thought
I haven’t played Majoras mask, but since the girl gave her sister alcohol and sealed her away into a slumber, the girl still never woke up even though the world was saved right?
I always took it as it was a right of passage that she would have gone through once she got older. And as far as the older sister was concerned there wouldn't be another chance.
Sharing a bed to be together at the end of the world. Cremia was probably hoping her younger sister would sleep through it whilst everyone else would be to terrified to sleep.
The whole segment with Grandma at the end brought me to tears, like it does every time
I think just about everyone's heart sinks a little due to Link's Grandma.
@@Super-Saiyan-Blue-Gogeta links grandma reminds me of my late great grandmother so it hits even harder for me.
Breath of the Wild's story had plenty of sad moments by itself.
Zelda's failure to save almost everyone she loved...
Mipha never getting the chance to be with Link... (Even though I don't ship her with him.)
Zelda remembering her mother with Urbosa...

One of my saddest moments in any Zelda game: when I hit my first invisible wall at the edge of the map in BOTW. It was such a terrible moment when I reached the edge of what had felt like an endless world without limitations.
... I never thought about it that way.
I was climbing around gerudo highlands and when I got that "can't go any further" text, it felt like a slap to the face
That happened? I tought BOTW is endless
I actually tortured myself a lot thinking that I only actually saved her once, but played the song of time countless times, so I condemned her to bring abducted so so many times :'(
Alien rape )':
That is one reason I found myself chasing “them” off in every 3-day cycle when I could help it, as well as protecting Cremia from the Gormans
You can just tell how much Link has to force himself to not look back as the giant stone doors behind him slowly close themselves shut.
Link crying in that scene always got to me
Which Zelda game?
Yes but what game was that
@@nataliebuckley5063 Skyward Sword.
There are two moments that made me cry in a Zelda game. (Actually there's probably more, but these were the two that stood out to me.)
The first one was Midna leaving - I started sobbing when she left.
Same with the midna leaving. And it’s not just her leaving, but how she never gets to see link again.
I intend to call a child as Midna. Just love Midna
While King Dorephan and Prince Sidon assured Link that her death wasn’t his fault, Muzu blamed him. And both side were right
I think one of my favorite moments would be the dying knight of Hyrule in Ocarina of Time.
The people apparently aren't aware of Zelda fleeing, but this man stood up to -Ganondorf-.
i saw that to and i was realy shocket when i was a kid specialy the part its not moving anymore orrracting
Yeah it was also sad how everyone just forgot about that except for real gamers
Apparently, draft versions included that Gannondorf had some human, non-Gerudo collaborators, and that last segment before the opening of the Door of Time might of had open warfare in Castle Town between this factions and the Guard--- and that he might be, basically; left over code from this version; hence why he disappears afterwards and there's no mention or marker of him afterwards.
He should be honored and remembered, like Green Biker Dude from the Megaman X2 intro.
IT IS TRUE Butwe see him in twilight princess waiting for someone to take his roll as a skeleton with a helm
Yeah, as a kid that was sad, but even more so considering someone had to find that body
I completely agree.

Mikau’s story messed me up
Talking to all the Zora made me so emotional when they started talking about Mikau and how they were happy he was back. Made me wish I could make it able for him to go back after the fight with Majora...

F*ck. When I realized what I was seeing when I played the scene of the Chateau Romani... I started tearing up.

It really looked like Fi was more than a comrade for Link, but a friend, even a part of his family.
never played ss on german, but there are similar respectful forms in german
Oh my god I'm french too, and me too it just broke my heart to see how close they really were😭😭😭Je l'aimais pas trop, mais de l'avoir fait partir m'a fait verser des larmes.... ;(
@@ladyducoeur7073
I played the game in german, and it's the same there.

8:57 Some of you may know this, but in Majora's Mask, the way the people react, and the order that you encounter them match up perfectly with the Kübler-Ross model of grief; that states when somone is confronted with grief, they go through five distinct emotional phases:
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression &
Acceptance.
First you have Clocktown, where all the people are in denial, for example Muto the Carpenter calling the falling moon a groundless theory.

Then you reach Snowhead, Darmani is dead and he asks link to use his magic to revive him, Bargaining. Trying to make a deal to prolong his life
Then you reach Great Bay, where you have Lulu, the Zora singer. A mother who lost her children, and she just stands there, overcome with Depression.
Then you reach Ikana valley, a place of acceptance, where you have to climb the stone tower and get the item of Stone Tower Temple, the Light Arrows.

Game theory has a video on this.
So wait...is the juxtaposition of the outside of the moon vs the inside supposed to reflect the like contrast between the feeling the idea of death brings to the living vs the peace that it's actually considered to be? And if that's the case, what do the moon children and their masks represent? What does the final battle represent?
@@devonm042690 Interesting thought.
"...land, monster, sea, sky... A scene on the lid of a dreamer's eye..."
What happens when your heroic journey means that everyone you've met on the way must cease to exist?
@CupheadLord 332 That's also in the normal version
I agree
No matter how many times I play links awakening I always get emotional
Saddest moment is the poor soul that is guru guru who will forever be tormented by the windmill song 😂
N64 Glenn Plant I would swap places with guru-guru any day of the week
The Edgy-unedgy sorry to hear you have a low quality existence, I hope things improve for you soon 👍
N64 Glenn Plant Thanks for the sympathy, but I wasn’t intending on implying that I have a miserable life. I was more meaning that I adore the song of storms, so would listen to it all day long. Thanks for the concern though!
The Edgy-unedgy ah now I get you - I was like man I feel bad for this guy if he wants to swap lives with the poor ole windmill man 😂
Go around~ Go around~ Wait, it's going way too fast~!
My heart broke when I found Koko crying at the graveyard. I wanted to hug her so much but Link wouldn't let me.
The saddest part for me has always been when midna almost dies in twilight princess. The music, the atmosphere... it always gets me.
Legit just fell a tear for grandma. Goddamn it. It just hits me right in the feels
That's pretty sad one too.
One of my saddest moments is realizing in Skyward Sword that the oldy lady has always been Impa :(
"We will met again". Then you meet again. AND IMPA FADE AWAY. AGAIN.
@NICOLÁS SILVA GARCÍA isn't she in botw
Farewell Midna was indeed sad, but when I played the game it somehow felt more like a relief and was ready for that, because it was for the better. The moment related to Midna that truly broke my heart was when she was on the verge of death and Zelda sacrificed herself to aid her, GOD I was so worried.
I'd say Zelda's diary in Hyrule Castle, as well as her father's diary are one for me. He wasn't the best of parents to her and constantly pushed her to do things she didn't enjoy doing. They never got to make up due to his untimely death some time after the kingdom's fall.
What about when midna almost dies in twilight princess because zant took her power
Or when Midna breaks all ties with the world of light by shattering the only link between them, the mirror of twilight?
The music really drives that part home.
I cried when that couple from majoras decided to live their last minutes together
Mipha's cut scene broke my heart. She wants to see her father just once more..
My gosh, Mipha talking to her brother, who was still just a little kid, almost a baby... 😭
But when I get back home today I'll go see her with a fairy so I can talk to her again 😭😭😭 thank you
(There is also the fact she reminds me of my diseased great grandmother 😢😢😞😞)
Wait, she dies if you don't give her a fairy?! :(
Thank god I cured her illness
i feel like kafei and anju getting married only to die together moments later really should have been here tbh,
oh, and midna's goodbye in TP ):
I can’t believe that midnas farewell is not on here.
I thought link saved termina so they shouldn’t have died!
I'd say Kafei rushing into an empty room on the final day is even more heartbreaking.
I would add the whole subplot of Pamela and her father in Ikana Canyon too. Damn, that thing was heartbreaking.
I totally agree ...
The Grandma moment was the saddest as it's partially relatable.
Damn onion cutting Yiga...
sneaky yiga.. making people mistaken me for crying XD
What jerks!
They seem to love bananas for some odd reason, though
What game
@@Joseekins Twilight Princess, right after you beat the Lanayru dungeon
Edit: nvm I'm an idiot, it happens at a different time
accidentally blowing your horse with a bomb arrow trying to hit a guardian
Flashbacks to the moment I accidentally hit a Korok with a bomb arrow 😭🤚
How come Navi’s disappearance isn’t on the list? That was really sad Link’s friend who stuck with him through thick and thin giving helpful advice flew off most likely died.
I liked it bc she bothers to much with her "HEY HEY HEY LISTEN" like stfu you usless white flying ball
S**t I’m depressed now
I always cried seeing Link's Grandma like that, I always theorized that she was slowly dying of a broken heart before Link showed up.
I can't believe the end on the Anju and Kafei quest didn't make it on
We shall greet the morning.. together...
They were aware of the apocalypse
Blue Man 4 You could quite literally put all majora’s mask game on the list:
The moon falling ending everyone , Anju and kafei sideqest, the Kings of Ikana regrets, Pamela and her father, Skull kid’s backstory, Malon and Romani last moments before the final day, the Deku butler losing his son,
darmanin and Mikau death, the Gordon elder sons realizing his dad died in the storm, even that little moment between you and the bartender where he comments staying on Terminia on it’s final hours was worth it because he was able to once again and for the last like one of his favorite costumers (you the player) was very heart wrenching.
carmen a. gonzalez rios don’t forget the eldest Gormon brother crying after you gather the three main story masks in the game and play all parts of the song for the conductor at the bar.
*[A sad Grandma exists]*
All of her grandsons and granddaughters: "Not today, sadness."
When I was a kid playing Majora for the first time the way that Darmani couldn't deal with his own death and the way the old goron man was determined to finish his quest despite being frozen in ice hit me pretty hard
