On a personal level, Wind Waker Link is by far my favorite. The kid is a monster on the battlefield, but his heart is the size of the oce-- Nah, that sentence would be way to cringey to finish. But you get my drift.
The most amazing line in all the Zelda games were spoken by Zelda in Breath of the Wild herself: “You may not have recovered all your memories, but courage need not be remembered; for it is never forgotten.”
that’s like in botw where in kakariko there’s that plum tree lady if you break the trees she says stop and if you break them all she says my life is meaningless
Because Link is so young in this game, the developers couldn't build up a romance between him and Zelda / any other female character. So they used another kind of love, the purest of all: the love of siblings. And in this whole fantasy-driven, unrealistic video game, it is the most realistic aspect. Maybe even in all Zelda-games yet.
[insert villain here]: ooh, dis might be the maiden I'm looking for, Imma capture here until I am sure supposed maiden: oh no, I am le captured [villain]: nope, not here I guess I'll just-- supposed maiden's big brother: Get ur azz kicked, I bet. [villain]: (gets killed by 11 yr old)
I love when in SS, Link was too late to save Zelda and impa gave him sass about being late, then later he comes to both Impa and Zelda’s rescue and asks “Am I late?”
Skyward Sword did a really great job conveying Link's emotions in his facial expressions, from his angry determination when faced with Demise for the first time, to desperation and devastation when Zelda locked herself away, the gentle sadness when he said goodbye to Fi... and sheer panic when he saw Groose hurtling towards him 200 feet in the air during his descent into Faron Woods. It really made cut-scenes more memorable and emotionally meaningful.
Yeah i love SS Link the thumbnail for this is i think from one of my favorite moments in the game when Ghirahim sends the waves at enemies at you and the look on Links face when he rolls up its pure determination like what you think an army can stop me its too bad that so many people werent able to appreciate because the couldn't get past flying i only did well enough to beat the game but those flying challenges were impossible for me
Honestly? My favorite and first moment was when Link first encounters Gannondorf in OOT. Even as a child with nothing but a knife for a weapon, he draws his blade against a far more powerful and intimidating foe. All to protect a girl he barely knows, but he realizes is important to Hyrule's future.
@@warhead5225And this why Link has the Triforce of Courage within him and is worthy to wield this half of the powerful artifact. Courage is the middle ground between wisdom and Power, and it is what allows one to be a true hero.
@@pendragonxt3674 and why LoZ are great games. For Link, it’s courage. For us, it’s completing the game. A perfect way to spin a “hero of courage” narrative around what the player character does. No matter what else, we’ll be trying to complete the game. So no matter what Link is gonna be courageous and do it all. Hand in hand storytelling and game design. Simply beautiful
It took me five years to beat SS because I was scared of the guardians (as a ten year old, it's understandable I think). It took me a week to get past the horde of Bokoblins cuz I kept dying. Fast forward to October 2017 and I've beaten Skyward Sword with a 100%/No death run for the fifth time
I actually have a personal story related to that scene. So, I'd lost my shield at some point in the first dungeon waaaaaaay back near the start of the game, and without it, I couldn't beat Ghirahim 1. I had to pull out of the dungeon, go back to Skyloft, buy a new one, then come back and dunk on him. Throughout the whole rest of the game, I always had a shield on me while fighting Ghirahim. Now, when the final scene came up, I had a sacred shield (Because the Lightning Dragon said "Come back later for the hylian shield" and in gamer speak that usually means "Come back after another plot beat", but the next plot beat was... well...) and in my hubris I decided to try and style on some of the Bokoblins and got my shield broken. I dove in on Ghirahim anyway, figuring it would respawn me with my shield if I died and I'd be more cautious that time, and when I swung at him and he blocked it I noticed that I'd cracked a chip in his sword. So I swung again. And again, and again, until I broke his sword in half and was able to get a few hits on him. I didn't even see some of his attacks because once I figured out I could just burst through his guard I just never gave him the space to breathe. Thinking about it, it's kind of incredible that Nintendo actually programmed that in as a way to beat final Ghirahim. Like, he went from this overwhelming foe who could easily disarm you and really gave off the impression that he could kill you in an instant if your antics didn't amuse him so much to an enemy who is literally unable to stand before your raw power.
Link: *majestically and victoriously poses with his sword and Epona in slow motion* Colin: *still unconscious and tied to a pole while the giant boar runs off to who knows where*
Remember that one time in skyward sword when ghirahim almost killed Impa but Link jumped in between allowing Impa and Zelda to flee and destroy the gate of time ? That was pretty damn badass.
The bad ass Link moment: When he saves Impa from Ghirahim at the Gate of Time at Lanayru Desert and replies to her acknowledging him with "Am I late?" in Skyward Sword
I really enjoyed how snarky/sassy(?) Link could be in that game. Like, yeah, I *could* practice for that flying competition (tutorial), but I'd rather take a nap, it's not like there's any competition from the other students.
@@dqhamill2463 playing it another time after a few years away from it has a similar effect - you just remember the most memorable events and have a strong feeling of nostalgia.
So we're just gonna gloss over the bit in Breath of the Wild where Link and Zelda are standing over the corpses of three separate Lynels and 20 Bokoblins, leaving Link with only a minor arm injury?
I fully leveled up every piece of armor and champion ability in the game and got every weapon, Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and every health and stamina upgrade and I still probably would have a difficult time doing what he did WITH ONLY 3 HEARTS AND JUST A POWERED DOWN MASTER SWORD!
Link had to have been using the elemental arrows along with bomb arrows just to take them out. The ancient arrows were not invented yet, so he had to use whatever was available. Maybe he took down a Lynel during that fight and used its weapon to do the majority of damage before it broke, then he finished off any stragglers that still tried to fight him.
@@LunaP1 Looking at the entire memory for reference, I found that Link isn't carrying a quiver, nor is he carrying a bow. I know that this might just be because they didn't want to animate him with then, but with how much attention to detail botw generally presents, something tells me that he just didn't have a bow.

@@user-bf6gz8ej4o in Skyward Sword there are dialogue options that pop up when Link can talk. We never hear him but everyone in universe acknowledges it.
While it's extremely short and almost insignificant, I always loved when Link, without even turning around, drew his sword after sensing Sheik behind him mere moments after first changing into a teenager in Ocarina of Time. I'd also like to add Link's hug with Cremia in Majora's Mask because dang, Link had more game at nine years old than I have in my twenties.
i almost forgot that scene when i was typing my own comment...but yeah, the "no-look sword-pull" was definitely a flash of badassery, mainly because i love that 'unsheathing' sound that they used in OoT (its a lot easier to hear with the Biggoron Sword, since Link doesnt attack with it immediately-- theres no 'HAA!' to drown it out) ...hell, i love the sound design in All of OoT-- even Navi's "HEY!" when youre in the middle of a huge group of enemies, with the Z/L-Targeting sound "NEEEOW!"ing underneath...i mean, its a 3rd-person perspective game most of the time, so the Player should almost always be able to see Link's surroundings, but i liked having Navi telling Link to "LOOK!" behind him or "WATCH OUT!" for an incoming attack...
Ocarina of Time Link was ten years old when Ocarina of Time started. The Ocarina of Time amiibo confirmed that he was seventeen years old after seven years of bein' asleep.
From Twilight Princess, the moment when King Bulblin recognizes Link as a strong warrior, I just love that moment because of what represents, the long journey that we had pays off when something that initially looked like a threat now respect us for the strength we gained through the adventure.
I wish in the final battle that when the phantoms attack Link, king Bulblin rocked up with his warriors and helped Link. Arguing that Ganondorf has magic and minions and tricks, but Link has just a sword and so is the stronger of the two.
What was even more epic about this... The Triforce of power has always held control over the monsters of hyrule... So for King Bulblin to recognize Link, it was also kinda a foreshadowing of Link killing Ganon and him losing the Triforce.
The Hero of Winds is easily my favourite Link, for many reasons including what was mentioned, but I need to add a bit more. The Hero of Winds was NOT the Hero. He had NO destiny. He was NOT chosen by the gods. He managed to draw the Master Sword and face down Ganondorf despite this, driven only by his desire to save Aryll. He wasn't given the Triforce of Courage. He dug up the pieces and assembled it himself _before_ the Goddesses would accept him. He _earned_ his title, and managed to impress the gods into letting him keep the power he also acquired on his own. If the Master Sword had been at full power, he very likely wouldn't have been able to draw her. By the time he had revitalized her, he had already proven his skill to the point that the gods let him keep it anyways. _That_ is the Hero of Winds to me: a brother who wouldn't even let _gods_ stand between him and his sister.
He COULD remove it from the pedestal cuz he helped others out, AND proved himself with the test at the "Tower of the Gods". He was chosen at the end, even after he got the Golden Sisters ta see how much he accomplished by recoverin' all the pieces fer the Triforce of Courage. He chose ta start his quest cuz Ganondorf got his lil' sister Aryll kidnapped (stolen away). He was originally havin' the adventure ta get his sis back home. Then he continued cuz other folks needed his help. Skyward Sword Link an' Twilight Princess Link also started their journeys cuz they wanted ta get their loved ones back home (Twilight Princess Link was bein' tempted by the Fused Shadows' power with an easy way ta keep his loved ones from Ordon Village safe forever, an' then he snapped out cuz of his sense of right an' wrong bein' stronger). They continued their quests so more lives could be saved cuz it wasn't just about savin' their loved ones no more. Twilight Princess Link fought an' killed the Shadow Beasts (the Twili who came ta Hyrule as the monsters they was turned into) in self-defense so they wouldn't hurt nobody else, even while also killin' them ta save all of 'em from somethin' worse than physical death (ignorantly), like with the battle involvin' Jericho where Israel killed the kids there ta save 'em from somethin' worse than death (on the Creator's orders with the wars of capital punishment). He saw the Shadow Beasts as monsters threatenin' him AND his loved ones. He didn't know that he was killin' the Twili in self-defense (ta save THEM from things worse than death), the ones who was turned into Shadow Beasts by Zant, AND followed him ta Hyrule. He also fought an' killed Ganondorf by stabbin' the glowin' wound in the very center of his chest--in self-defense--with the Master Sword (the same sword Skyward Sword Link used centuries before) fer justice. Midna was basically unconscious. Skyward Sword Zelda was unconscious, too, cuz the Demise in the past (the same monster, but the version that was sealed in the past) stole a part of Hylia's power from her (by absorbin' it like a vacuum while she was screamin' with pain). So Link killin' the Demise in the past to prevent him from takin' over the world was the justice that saved her life (with his battles against the Imprisoned in their time bein' completely undone by his victory in the past). Ganondorf had the solar plexus (the part in the middle of the chest that's above the stomach, an' below the heart) that was his Achilles' heel. Looks like Demise's heart was where he got stabbed fer justice based on the indication in the cutscene with his fist over his heart. Midna woke up in her real form (the young girl who's a bit taller than Twilight Princess Link an' Zelda, the ones in her time). Twilight Princess Link was happy that she was OK. Skyward Sword Link was happily reunited with Skyward Sword Zelda when she was saved by him (Link saved her life by restorin' the power to her with Demise's death, AND with the Demon King's dark remains bein' absorbed by the Master Sword). Link, Zelda an' Groose went back to their time after Fi said goodbye (before goin' to sleep fer a long time like Tiki). All those Links started their journeys cuz those they loved got separated from all of 'em. Their original motivation was rescuin' their loved ones AND gettin' them back home. Then they saw that other folks needed their help.
Best part about each link is that they each have their own story to becoming a hero. BOTW link didn't really have a choice in becoming a hero and he carries a burden knowing he (coincidentally) is TP a part of him is hero like and he fully embraces it. WW. He was no hero. But after saving his sister he forced the gods to choose him in becoming a hero Little stories like that are the best part of each link
I think the greatest story was when Link asked to be... excuuuuuuuuuuuuused, princess! But, anyways, you are right. That is actually one of my favorite things, too, about the games. The character progression. Although, it isn't character progression in the traditional sense, where he learns something along the way, as he is always his best self, he really does grow. In many different ways, but still amazing growth.
my favorite moment is pretty understated. When Link gets to the first temple in Skyward Sword, he hesitates before going down the stairs. His hesitation fades with every dungeon until he gets to the final one, and he bears a steely, determined look before crossing that threshold.
Whenever Link got pissed in skyward sword, it made him a little more human (or more of a person). There’s so much of his emotion in that game and really appreciate how feels like he has little bit of an attitude.
That's what I love about SS! And really missed in BotW... I was so dissapointed :( I expected more, as the Switch is more capable in graphics than the Wii.
I really don't understand the problemas people have with SS, that game is great, awesome music, one of the better characters in the series, the evolution of Groose, starting an asshole and with time undertanding his place in the world, understanding that he isn't the hero, but Link, and so trying to help him the vestido he can, holly shit, what a character. The areas is pretty good and diverse, the dungeons and itens are creative, good puzzles and good bosses. Normally the arguments are that is linear, but EVERY ZELDA (except botw) is linear, they just pretend not to be. TP is like "wooow you now is in a new area with 17 exits. 16 exits ar blocked!"
Link’s final confrontation with Ganondorf in Twilight Princess, the storm in the background, all allies blocked from entering by a magic barrier, the epic music, all culminate to create arguably one of the greatest final bosses in all of gaming. It’s just Link and Ganondorf. Link wielding the Master Sword and Ganondorf wielding the very sword he was executed with, battling to the death. Truly a badass moment of epic proportions
Especially when they lock swords and glare at eachother across them while fighting for dominance. I love all the final boss swordfights,, but this particular one is such an intense rush, I usually end up going back to the completed file and doing it again even though I have to do the previous two stages again as well. I've only used the fishing rod trick during one run of it, but never again after; it takes all the challenge out of it lol. Come to think of it, on my games I've got one completed file I hang onto just for when I want a good swordfight lol.
@@JariDawnchildyes indeed. This proves that TP Link is, like almost all of the incarnations of Link aside from SS Link(who is arguably the embodiment of all three pieces of the Triforce.) is the embodiment of the Triforce of Courage. Courage is the middle ground between Wisdom and Power, and is the mark of a true hero.
What I love and find so relatable about Link.. his whole thing is about being Courageous. Courage by definition is different from Valor or Fearlessness. Courage means to stand up EVEN THOUGH you’re afraid. I find myself thinking about that alot
He's got courage that COULD develop into valor (less scared, but not completely fearless). Courage also means overcomin' your fears, pushin' past 'em. Maybe the Ganondorfs have fearlessness cuz of bein' immune ta feelin' fear, with nothin' ta scare them, even while they was bein' failure intolerant (Calamity Ganon was scared of bein' defeated again, but not the Ganondorfs cuz they was enraged at bein' defeated). The future version of Ocarina of Time Ganondorf was pissed off cuz Zelda an' Link beat 'im together (with help from Fi, the Master Sword, Navi, AND the sages). The second Ganondorf--the man who turned into Ganon II--was pissed off cuz he was bein' in sealed in the Four Sword after he was beaten by Zelda AND the four Links (the same characters from Four Swords). An' that was before he broke out, took the Four Sword with him, gathered greedy followers, murdered them ta get the Triforce fer himself, turned the Golden Land into the Dark World with a selfish wish (ta rule the world), broke the Four Sword into 4 pieces (with the pieces bein' separate swords), put its fragments in four different pedestals in the Palace of the Four Sword (which was part of the Pyramid of Power), recruited more minions fer buildin' his army, an' started A Link to the Past with the Imprisoning War where he was sealed (least fer 400 years). All these events led to A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ancient Stone Tablets, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, A Link Between Worlds, Triforce Heroes, The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, the 10,000-year-old legend, an' Breath of the Wild. With Link the Hero of Twilight as Link the Hero of Time's son (and the heroic main character who succeeded in killin' the first Ganondorf), his legacy carried on. An' that includes the Links from Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Orcale of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, A Link Between Worlds, Triforce Heroes, The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, the 10,000-year-old legend, an' Breath of the Wild.

Best link moment... When he strait up scams this guy into giving him both of the guys pairs of extremely rare pants/shoes after cross dressing as a girl and rejecting him when he asked him out with “Not a chance”. Botw
Is it bad that when that happened I actually felt quite proud of Link? I mean, the guy who had the armour was a jerk to any guy that crossed his path, but when he saw a 'girl' he straight up started flirting with her. He deserved it.
All because Ganondorf kidnapped his little sister. Could've avoided all that headache, and probably taken over the world if you'd just left Outset Island alone. Or better yet, when the Helmerock King kidnaps someone, if it's not the right person just I dunno return them?
My all-time favorite Link moment has to be in Skyward Sword when Impa is defending Zelda as they try to make their way into the Gate of Time at the Temple of Time. Ghirahim is hot on their tail and even breaks Impa's defense, leaving her just a hair away from defeat, until Link appears out of nowhere and lunges at Ghirahim. Every time, I always answer with "Am I late?" to Impa because dangit I will not forget that you just taunted me one dungeon ago that I was "too late!" In all honesty though, I just love how Link grows as a character in that game. He starts out as this kid who gets by by the skin of his teeth and then turns into this unfaultering hero on his quest to save his best friend.
She wasn't really taunting him when she said he was too late, but rather disciplining him for being late. She was explaining how close they got losing Zelda and thus the world following him.
Also speaking of that cutscene, you could alternatively leap over the fence right next to Ingo instead of the normal way. I know it’s less epic, but I prefer to do it that way so Ingo can see me escaping (y’know, to rub it in his face).

Yeah, in the Adult timeline he is remembered as the Hero who left and never returned when the world needed him most, in the Downfall timeline he is remembered as the Hero who failed, who died by Ganondorf's hand which lead the land to ruin and decay. In the Child Timeline, he isn't remembered at all... the only one who knows of him and what he has done is the Link of Twilight Princess , but only because He assisted Link and taught him Hidden Skills. Other than that no one even knows what he did or who he was. Its implied he served Hyrule as a Knight and died sometime in the war between Hyrule and the Gerudo that occurred before Twilight Princess.
Thelma TP: we'll have to get past a bunch of monsters, but with these soldiers we will be safe That one soldier: well... about that... goodbye! I know they weren't wielding swords, but principle is the same as they were wielding weapons XD
Phantom T courage is one of the quality that is required to wield the master sword if youre not courageous you wont be able to pull the master sword out from the pedestal as the sword will weaken you if you try to pull it out.
Raza Aamir that's actually not how. There is only one person in reality the sword CHOOSES itself. Link, which is the only who can pull it out, regardless of the fact he was weakened. No one else can do that. also no offense man
Thinking on it, there is an incredible story of love and devotion told by the first and last Links and Zeldas. The first Link's love for his Zelda guided him to becoming the courageous First Hero, setting all this in motion. And at the end, Zelda's devotion to her own Link is what gives her the power to ultimately *destroy* Ganon, finally relieving the two of their destinies that had weighed over them.
I don't think it's the last zeldas or links though, but I do get the love aspect, I'd love for one day in the games that link and zelda would both remember all their past lives and gain a greater appreciation and love for each other
One of my favorite moments in the series is during Twilight Princess when Link is tasked with trying to save Impa and the game suddenly turns into a Western. :)
"Stealing" implies he got Epona via thievery. He literally liberated her from imprisonment after winning ownership via the races and Ingo's lockdown :)
I think Breath of the Wild Link's most badass moment is when he collapses and Zelda holds him. She says, "You're going to be just fine," and if you look closely, it looks like Link glares at her, even just the slightest bit, kind of like, "I might be dying, but I'm not stupid." 😂 He's pretty sassy in general, not gonna lie.

For me it's the bit where in SS you fight through like a hundred bokoblins. The best part is that when you hit their guard, it doesn't stagger Link. You break through their guard after an entire game of that not working. The power of being super pissed off and trying to save your gf really powers Link up
Link’s stand against Demise was definitely my favorite badass moment from him. The atmosphere of the arena, the contrast between how dark and huge Demise is against how small and bright Link is, and the final blow to Demise made it my favorite battle out of all the LoZ games!
Skyward Sword is definitely one of the most impactful LoZ games in my opinion. It's the first time we get to see Link with so many different emotions. I unfortunately don't have one top badass moment. One of the most badass moments I'm gonna remember is when The Hero of Winds beats Ganon by jabbing his Master Sword into the man's head. Another one is obviously the first of all the Links standing up against Demise, ready to give him hell.

All of links best moments are from that game. The shame you feel as the player for invading her privacy like that is exquisite. But kafei and anju embracing as the moon crashes into termina must be in the top 5 videogame moments of all time. Tear inducing stuff.
Although saving epona and climbing ganondorfs castle while listening to him playing the organ and later the journey to the roof... all the zelda games have their moments (apart from botw which is rubbish).
Oh yeah, that should be at #1! The Hero of Time borrows the powers of a literal *god* (or demon in the original Japanese) to kick Majora's backside into next week!
That was freaking badass I mean Link in this game is already prerry badass, he's like 11 but is freaking strong and experienced from his previous adventure, and now you give him a god's power?
What really has me thinking is that, canonically, the Hero of Time obtained the Fierce Deity mask. He presumably kept the transformation masks too, because the ending credits have him playing the guitar with the Indigo-Go's as Mikau. And then he left Termina, and next thing we know of him he's the Hero's Shade. What happened to his masks? His sucessor, the Hero of Twilight, didn't get them. Did he leave the masks behind on Mikau's and Darmani's respective graves with a note in the lines of "Hi, I'm Link, sorry to have fooled you, your hero died while trying to save you all, and I impersonated him to defeat evil. May he rest in peace"? And what did he do with the Fierce Deity mask? Why didn't any other Link have access to its power?
I think my favorite "Link Moment" has to be either the barrel dance in Wind Waker, or Link getting angry at Ghirahim for stealing Zelda in Skyward Sword. Both of them show how flawed of a human he can be, and I think that's really nice to see. :)
@@Xiomaro01 That's true. It's why I think Batman is the best hero because of the one episode of Justice League where he sits with Ace because she's scared to be alone in her final moments. :)
Link's face when facing down the Yiga assassins I think greatly contributed in that standoff. His Tranquil Fury-filled face said "You fools can flee, and save your skin... Or you can try to get to her, and end up just as dead as your friend. What's it gonna be?" Without saying a damn word.

Can we at least have an honorable mention to when the hero of the sky literally carves a bloody swathe through an ARMY of bokoblins to stop girahims ritual?
I love all the games in general, but my favorite moments are the more personal ones. They actually show why Link would be willing to fight. Not just be like, "Here's a sword; go kill that bad guy."
@@saricubra2867 Hi, Star masterc. I actually wasn't even thinking about the first Zelda game. I was thinking about something else at the time. I love the first game. 16:23 TP was the only game to have the villains actually try to get after link and kill him. Also, in this game, Links badass moment for me is facing off against Ganondorf, sword vs. sword, and then Link pulls out his *fishing rod* and distracts him with full intention of defeating him.
I remember going through Fort Hateno and being amazed by the sight of all the broken guardians. After running from every single mobile guardian I've seen up to that point, while hiding from all the stationary ones, seeing all the broken guardians(and looting them) was one of my first "woah" moments in the game. I remember specifically noting to myself "This must be where the Hylian *army* fought the guardians" Fast forward one month to when I finally unlocked the last memory, and the plot twist unravels. It wasn't *an army* that killed all these guardians, but *a single hero.* And now the game is calling on me to repeat that same feat of combat by storming through Hyrule Castle to save the princess who once saved us. That was epic.
One of my favorite moments is from Skyward Sword - right after you finish the third dungeon and you get the cutscene of Impa, Zelda, and Ghirahim at the Gate of Time. Impa is fighting off Ghirahim, trying to give Zelda the time she needs to escape through the gate - in the process, she is overpowered and forced to lie helpless on the ground. As Ghirahim goes in to deliver the final blow. Link sneak attacks Ghirahim (who narrowly dodges). Impa looks shocked and then you get three options on what to say to her. And every time I always pick the same one, "Am I late?" Referencing her previous belittlement of you for failing to protect Zelda earlier in the game. I love this scene because it's not just cool, but shows some actual character for Link. A sarcastic remark to showcase Link's growth is just how I would want Link to be, and thus, I love that scene.
Warren Valion I don’t even get why Link was always belittled for being late! How the hell did Impa and Zelda managed to sweep through the dungeon without getting the dungeon item or defeating the boss? Did they swept through it with magic without touching anything? Well Link didnt had that option so obviously it took more time.
One of my favorite moments in Skyward Sword is when Link first enters his first few dungeons, and he looks around, perhaps wary or even frightened. But he steels himself and walks down into the darkness.
I would have to say one of Link’s best moments(in Breath of the Wild) was when despite being severely injured and Zelda pleading for him to save himself, he stands up to continue defending the princess as a guardian spots and targets them.
@@spiritofthewolf15x They already have one. Do you mean a port of the HD remaster to the Switch? Cuz honestly that's likely the best we'll ever get if they even do that. There's only so much remastering they can do after all and it doesn't make sense to re-remaster a game that old.
that’s why i really love link. i love how he can be menacing and threatening, but that doesn’t define him. he’s thoughtful, kind, and just, but if you cross him or someone he loves, there will be hell to pay.
my favorite moment is when link restores the seal on the imprisoned after defeating it. the way he swings his sword, and how when he stabs it towards the ground, the sealing spike following his movements, its just looks awesome
Gotta disagree with the very first moment! My favorite Link moment is actually from the same game, but it's the memory when Link actually falls. We see him in a sorry state, for sure, but the thing that gets me is seeing absolutely everything going on with him trucking on forward, even to his own grave. All the damage, all the pain, you see it, and you see that he tries to get up anyway, right before Zelda gets her moment, and right before he literally would have died if the Shrine of Resurrection didn't exist. Now THAT is a badass moment.
@@lewismartin3430 Shit I mean if you look at the memory of Link and Zelda near death mountain in BOTW, Link single handedly took out a small army of enemies, which included a few lynels. Dude is a monster.
@@lewismartin3430 Well not quite light speed, but I get where you're coming from. No easy feat to be sure. I will say that, having the power go deflect such a blow with enough power to send back at with equal force with 1 arm, is arguably more impressive than simply being able to react to the move itself. Although I'm sure that's something people could argue.
TP Link is probably the most badass version of him yet. They really tried very hard to make you feel as cool as possible when playing and definitely achieved it!
My favorite moments from the games (in no particular order) - ganondorf fight from the wind waker - defeating my first lynel - getting injured midna to Zelda in twilight princess - Yuga Ganon phase 2 - calling the giants in Majora’s mask
My favorite moment is actually from a game that isn’t considered canon, there is a segment in Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition where Link has become overconfident due to the overwhelming power of the Master Sword destroying all who stand in his way. Most of the way through the scenario you confront Cia who quite literally rips the darkness from Link creating multiple Dark Links who attack in waves until your allies destroy the massive doors that locked you in and come to your aid. This is my favorite Link moment because Link isn’t proving himself as the legendary hero through his skill but instead through him learning from his overconfidence getting him into a difficult situation. In this situation Link is learning to trust in his allies to have his back.
2 of my favorites: When Link makes it through the abandoned Mining Facility to meet Zelda, and their reunion is rudely interrupted by Ghirahim. When Impa’s defense fails, the hero bravely rushes between Ghirahim and Impa to defend her and Zelda. My second favorite is when the hero fights of hundreds of Bokoblins in a race to the bottom of the sealed grounds to save Zelda from Ghirahim’s Ritual
When Link in Wind Waker has to be physically stopped from jumping off a cliff to save his sister spoke volumes.

Because Link is so young in this game, the developers couldn't build up a romance between him and Zelda / any other female character. Honestly? My favorite and first moment was when Link first encounters Gannondorf in OOT. Even as a child with nothing but a knife for a weapon, he draws his blade against a far more powerful and intimidating foe. All to protect a girl he barely knows, but he realizes is important to Hyrule's future.
It was such a cool moment that even Ganondorf was impressed
I really think that should’ve been the final one he mentioned. The most iconic cutscene showing in spades the main characteristic of Link: his courage
Are we gonna ignore the fact that SS Link had just fought his way through an army and Ghirahim before his fight with Demise? Man was on a mission.
SS Link wasn't messing around. He had a promise to keep. After all, he couldn't be late to wake Zelda up, now could he?
I never thought I would fight so many enemies at once in a Zelda game

@@iwasanMBTInerd I didn't even think about the lack of power-enhancing armors and items.
Link had to have been using the elemental arrows along with bomb arrows just to take them out. The ancient arrows were not invented yet, so he had to use whatever was available. ...hell, i love the sound design in All of OoT-- even Navi's "HEY!" when youre in the middle of a huge group of enemies, with the Z/L-Targeting sound "NEEEOW!"ing underneath...i mean, its a 3rd-person perspective game most of the time, so the Player should almost always be able to see Link's surroundings, but i liked having Navi telling Link to "LOOK!" behind him or "WATCH OUT!" for an incoming attack...
Ocarina of Time Link was ten years old when Ocarina of Time started. The Ocarina of Time amiibo confirmed that he was seventeen years old after seven years of bein' asleep.
It used to be 10 and 17, but it was retconned to 9 and 16 by the time OoT 3D released, as seen in the Iwata Asks corresponding to it.
@@enomisv9830 That would indeed be epic and would make sense.

Every time, I always answer with "Am I late?" to Impa because dangit I will not forget that you just taunted me one dungeon ago that I was "too late!"
In all honesty though, I just love how Link grows as a character in that game. He starts out as this kid who gets by by the skin of his teeth and then turns into this unfaultering hero on his quest to save his best friend.
I feel you, bro.
Skywards sword Link is my favourite Link he goes from falling ass backwards into being a a hero to BDE hero in that game
She wasn't really taunting him when she said he was too late, but rather disciplining him for being late. She was explaining how close they got losing Zelda and thus the world following him.
Do teeth HAVE skin?
I think I chose "Go!" because I thought "am I late" was to sassy for the moment(though I chuckled at the option) and "protect zelda" was a given.
"Steals" Epona. Link definitely rescued her.
He did both, I guess
Well remember Ingo said he was allowed to keep Epona, so Link isn’t stealing her.
Also speaking of that cutscene, you could alternatively leap over the fence right next to Ingo instead of the normal way. I know it’s less epic, but I prefer to do it that way so Ingo can see me escaping (y’know, to rub it in his face).
Stealing her sounds much more epic.

Nah, the most badass moment was when link literally had to stop the end of the world via an angry moon. The Hero of Time had a tragic story, honestly.
it was doable though with the timetravel and all
Yeah, in the Adult timeline he is remembered as the Hero who left and never returned when the world needed him most, in the Downfall timeline he is remembered as the Hero who failed, who died by Ganondorf's hand which lead the land to ruin and decay.
Yeah a hero who isn't remembered for their good deeds

For me it's the bit where in SS you fight through like a hundred bokoblins. The best part is that when you hit their guard, it doesn't stagger Link. You break through their guard after an entire game of that not working. The power of being super pissed off and trying to save your gf really powers Link up

Link’s stand against Demise was definitely my favorite badass moment from him. The atmosphere of the arena, the contrast between how dark and huge Demise is against how small and bright Link is, and the final blow to Demise made it my favorite battle out of all the LoZ games!

When Link got the Fierce Deity Mask and absolutely decimates all of Majora's forms. He's put up with its cruel pranks for too long.
Oh yeah, that should be at #1! The Hero of Time borrows the powers of a literal *god* (or demon in the original Japanese) to kick Majora's backside into next week!
That was freaking badass
I mean Link in this game is already prerry badass, he's like 11 but is freaking strong and experienced from his previous adventure, and now you give him a god's power?
Lol imagine if link had the triforce of power instead and the fierce deity link mask
we need to use that mask sometime in the future!

After running from every single mobile guardian I've seen up to that point, while hiding from all the stationary ones, seeing all the broken guardians(and looting them) was one of my first "woah" moments in the game. I remember specifically noting to myself "This must be where the Hylian *army* fought the guardians"
Fast forward one month to when I finally unlocked the last memory, and the plot twist unravels. It wasn't *an army* that killed all these guardians, but *a single hero.* And now the game is calling on me to repeat that same feat of combat by storming through Hyrule Castle to save the princess who once saved us.
That was epic.
@Nish The Great he took out a large majority but was bested by around a squad's worth.
The Hylian army wasn’t that great to begin with.
Mowing down the enemies at the end of Skyward Sword was pretty fun.

This is my favorite Link moment because Link isn’t proving himself as the legendary hero through his skill but instead through him learning from his overconfidence getting him into a difficult situation. In this situation Link is learning to trust in his allies to have his back.
alex kuhn I love that moment, too, Hyrule Warriors is a great game, in my opinion.
Best origin of Dark Link.
3:25 Zeltik: "completely surrounded on all sides"
Me: I can see a *clear way to escape*
She forgot the ground was solid and tried to escape down
2 of my favorites:
When Link makes it through the abandoned Mining Facility to meet Zelda, and their reunion is rudely interrupted by Ghirahim.
I will always choose Am I late? for the Temple of Time bit
