So, as a kid, my parents never let me and my sister watch PG-13/R movies or play T/M rated games until we were the "right age" as suggested by the ratings board. For my 10th birthday, I asked for a "Zelda game" (I wanted Minish Cap because my cousins had it and I loved playing it when we visited and wanted it for myself), and my grandpa got me this, which had just released. I was hyped beyond belief, but this is the ONLY Zelda game to have a T rating. When my parents asked me what the rating on the front said, I lied to their face and said E10 (T rating is ages 13+ to those who don't know). They never bothered to look themselves and I'm forever grateful. I sunk literally HUNDREDS of hours into this game as a kid, sometimes just turning it on to run around the overworld as a wolf. Arbriter's Grounds scared the shit out of me but still became my favorite dungeon of all time. Midna is the best Zelda/Nintendo companion ever. This game is amazing and will remain in my top 3 games of all time.
I always hated those ESRB ratings growing up. There's such a small difference between E, E10, and T and then M covers a massive range from one too many swear words to graphic dismemberment and gore.
@@mgb360 there was a time when age ratings were worse than worthless and i have a perfect example that i love to bring up every time age ratings are mentioned ever heard of breath of fire 3? you know, a classic gem of an RPG that starts with the protagonist burning people to death, shortly followed by him getting taken in by orphan thieves who promptly get tasked with killing a monster that doesn't understand its children are dead and keeps trying to feed them which causes a famine, the party deciding to steal from a politician who of course has connections with a worldwide criminal organization, and finally their home getting burned down as a consequence as well as the party being separated with no idea whether or not anyone except the protagonist survived... all in what i would call the chapter of the game. not to mention that the game loves to toss moral greys at you every now and then all of that happens in the first few hours. hell, the indiscriminate incineration happens in the literal first five minutes of the game! so why is the age rating 3+? things used to be *WILD*

So, he's essentially calling out to the person he betrayed to give him power, and Zant gave Ganondorf a resounding "no."

Both because it gets misunderstood as "Just trying to redo Ocarina" and because we only get new mainline games every 6 years or so now which are open world and don't care nearly as much about story. Not that the BOTW/TOTK style is inherently bad, but I feel they should be a subtype of Zelda rather than being the norm for the past decade. We should get games in the old style again, without necessarily having to stop making games in the BOTW format. Echoes of Wisdom is a start, but it feels way more like a side story, a spinoff, like Tri Force Heroes.
One of my favorite things about RT playing these games is that, no matter how silly he treats a majority of the game, he always lets the important, touching, and heartfelt moments have the impact they're meant to. A lot of creators talk through and make jokes during those moments because they seem to think that every single thing that happens needs to become a funny moment. Super Paper Mario is one of my favorite stories. Dan is one of the few creators I've seen that actually recognize it as the love story it tells you it is, and is one of the few people that I have watched their playthrough of it. It's sad to know this is the last video like this, at least for a while. Thank you for these videos though Dan, they are genuinely some of my favorite videos on RUclips, and I come back to them regularly.
Absolutely, he has well earned his place in my top 3 RUclipsrs for the just under 5 years I’ve watched him now, funny AND genuine, he’s a really nice presence, absolutely.
Time for my regular telling everyone to read the Twilight Princess manga. It was the only Zelda manga to get a massive manga adaptation longer than a single volume, spanning 58 chapters over 11 volumes, and it somehow improves upon Twilight Princess' already near perfect story.
On the topic of the mangas, I'd also highly recommend the Four Swords manga. Its two volumes, but it fleshes out Shadow Link and has the different Links interact with each other in fun ways!
I read it a few years back because I was feeling the Twilight Princess withdrawal and did not expect much from it. Oh my GOD it's soooooo good, the art is great, Link is hot AF, and the story is wonderful. Very faithful while adding a lot of depth and details to stuff.
I recently finished the manga because of RT streaming this and remembering how much I loved it. And while I do have my qualms with it, it’s a really great read that people who are Zelda fans should read
Okay, so. This is such a small thing, but the fact that RT kept the start of the video purely about the opening sequence with no commentary means SO much to me. TP was my 2nd Zelda game after Skyward Sword, and both hold a special place in my heart. Seeing this game being treated with reverence from the start made such an impact.
I find it really funny that at 8:34, when Ordan gets attacked, BigHorse just disappears in two seconds and no one questions it. As a kid, I just thought my horse had the ability of teleportation but didn't like me enough to teleport with me.
Fun fact link is vibrating violently it's used in a speedrun to get the least items possible where you have to get a ruppee and sit in that place for 4 hours to phase through a gate
@@theevilduckling There's a "least items" speedrun category where the less items you get (even vital ones) the higher tier your speedrun is, even if it's slower than others with more items. Turns out because link moves a bit in cutscenes, you can leave a cutscene (like the one for getting a new kind of rupee) running for hours, and Link will phase through nearby walls. This of course lets you skip a lot of otherwise vital items
Correct. I believe ONE frame is missing from the item-get animation, which slides him in a direction *very slowly* . Slide long enough to clip through walls and break space-time. TP Link solos Goku.
RT, in case no one in chat corrected you, having Wolf Link as a companion in BotW does _NOT_ require beating the Cave of Shadows or even owning TPHD at all! You can summon Wolf Link regardless, but he will have 3 hearts by default. I have never touched the Cave of Shadows in my life, but I play BotW with Wolf Link _all the time!_ In fact it's the only reason I bought the amiibo lol. (Though having him in ACNL was a nice too!)
There’s actually a way to get him full 20 hearts in BOTW without beating cave of shadows! (I still haven’t beaten it) There’s checkpoints every so often in the cave and the first one is only like 5 floors in so it’s not too hard to get there undamaged and then you can save your progress to the amiibo and he’ll appear in BOTW with that many hearts. Just don’t save cave of shadows progress again if you wanna keep the full hearts wolf link
@DavidVanSlyke-m2t It was a special era for Zelda games. You had both OoT and Majora's Mask return as Gamecube ports (albeit they were pretty laggy compared to the N64 but who cares they're still top tier games), and then you had the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both being branching paths from the timeline splits of OoT/MM. I just find it funny that two of the best Zelda games have such drastic differences. Twilight has an almost realistic look to it, while Wind Waker is more cartoony and lighthearted (at least until the end when everyone left in Hyrule feckin drowns), but they're both THE two Gamecube era Zelda games and they're both 10/10 games.
20:55 rt confronting his fears so confidently is genuinely pretty inspiring. I also have pretty severe arachnophobia and I really don’t like having to deal with spiders.
I'm literally terrified of spiders and can't even look at them, but for some reason this fight was ok to view, I think I'm just so sleep deprived and exhausted that my body can't even make up the energy to make me feel scared.
@@slothfulcobra Fears don’t have to be something you get or even make sense. Phobias as a whole aren’t something that tends to be rational, after all.
i loved to hear that he developed a system of defeating them in the game and getting thru it, cuz i remember he used to need mods to hide spiders in games.
There is something truly admirable about RTGame defeating spider enemies and spider bosses in spite of his phobia. Idk if its talked about, but its easily one of my favorite feats if RT. Truly deserving of the triforce of courage
Although, let's also not forget that one time he modded his Subnautica game to get rid of the spider-crab-jellyfish creatures. He may be brave, but he has his limits.
My love for twilight princess is immeasurable. It was my first ever zelda game i’ve ever played, its weirdly horrific, but also feels magical with its enemies. I find this to be one of the best games ever.
8:24 “No matter what happens on your journey, don’t try to do anything…out of your league.” “Hyah!” (Doesn’t listen, proceeds to get involved in a globe-trotting, dimension hopping adventure to seal an ancient evil away and topple a corrupt king)
I like the character evolution Dan and chat had about the stamps. From pure disappointment and derision at the sight of one to joy at unintentionally collecting all of them 😭
Thousands of gamers refused to play windwaker, one of the best Zelda games of all time, just because it looked cartoony. So Nintendo made the exact game that those gamers wanted out of spite… and it was also an incredible game.
And now people are realizing the art style has let the game aestetically age hardly at all compared to 95% of other games. Even skyward sword has aged more.
@@mikechartofilis oh hm, last I heard they were planning to make a sequel to Wind Waker, but because it sold so poorly in Japan, they threw everything off the table so fast that there are actually still a few Wind Waker sequel holdovers left in the files (namely small things like a Wind Waker-styled fish item, Midna using Tetra's model as a placeholder was probably a normal development thing)
@@SwoobatWithHands I don't really remember the details honestly so you could be right as well. There is a nice video by ManelyReviews called "Twilight Princess: The Game Nintendo Never Wanted to Make" which talks about the situation if you want to take a look
There is the one piece of fanart involving the Cave of Ordeals Great Fairy that has her revealed to be Navi from Ocarina of Time. It's really sweet, and ever since then I've always headcanoned that as being her too, because it just feels so fitting to have them reunite even across a different reincarnation. And adds another thematic tie with the Hero's Shade of fulfilling his regrets since he never got to reunite with her despite that being what caused the plot of Majora's Mask to happen.
2:44:20 Another fun fact to add here, the Spirit of the Hero does not need to be related to former heroes...but this is the rare case where it is. The Hero of Time is the Grandpa (Or Great Grandpa I can't remember) of the Hero of Twilight here...and if you wanna know, the Grandma is Malon from Lon Lon Ranch in OoT. Fun facts for fun people!
The manga that was released for this game actually expanded on the dynamic with the moblin/orc buy and even he got a cool arc. I highly recommend it if you really enjoy the Twilight Princess story
So glad to see twilight princess getting new playthroughs, it's my absolute favorite in the series. Botw and totk were great games, but there's something so special about this version of Hyrule. It's the only time that I've felt like I've gotten to know the real Link. Not the chosen hero, but the kind and quiet person underneath. It's more intimate than the other games imo, it brings you into his world. This was my first Zelda experience, and my first time playing a game with combat mechanics. My dad was so excited to show me this series, and thank God he was there bc I was far too young to get through it on my own. I'll never forget the impact that Midna made on me, I've still never felt as attached to a companion in a game as I was with her. I had no idea that games could be used as a storytelling device, allowing you to live in the story rather than just seeing it. It opened my mind to the possibilities of gaming, and I've been obsessed with story driven games ever since. I really hope that we get a switch port, or a port on the next console. I really think more people need to experience this game, especially Zelda fans. It's truly unique amongst the series.
Twilight Princess is one of my favorite Zelda games; I think it’s in my top five. I grew up with bits of it alongside my brother, and I finally got to play through the full thing in 2022. It’s genuinely so much better than I could have thought, even with my nostalgic memories. This game is incredible, and I can only thank Daniel for spreading the good word of Twilight Princess.
I love these Long Form videos, thank you Dan and Cloe. It's just so much fun to watch and just binge these kinds of things for a couple of hours, especially when you have nothing to do! I've also never played any LoZ games, so seeing you play another is always an enjoyment for the heart
I always love how Link and Midna’s friendship truly begins to blossom in the events after the water temple. Sacrifices, near death experiences, and life saving aside, maybe part of it was the suspension bridge effect over one of the most infamous dungeons in the series? Who’s to say.
This was my childhood zelda game. Windwaker was a close second with OoT trailing behind. I was so happy to see Dan play this and caught almost every stream from start to finish. There is something about the darker tones of this game that just hit differently. Im very glad to see that Dan played this as his last "Lets Play All" series and equally sad that these styles of videos are going on hiatus for the foreseeable future. Thank you very, very much Daniel for playing this game and have a wonderful holiday season as well as amazing New Year.
This game is a metaphor for me being sick right now. Im so photosensitive i have to ‘watch’ this with the screen brightness all the way down, eye closed, lights off and curtains drawn. I too wish to return to the world of light…..
There are countless incredible games out there, but none have ever managed to grip me like Twilight Princess has. Easily my favorite game, always has been

So something that just dawned on me. At 2:54:53, Ganondorf just calls the master sword and impressive looking blade. He has no clue this sword can kill him because twilight princess takes place in the child time-line, where Ganondorf was sent to be executed before he could take over hyrule in OoT.
OH MY RUMBLETUMBLEGAMING I went to grab food, head the familiar tune and was like "Nice, autoplay chose Twlight Princess essay for me to watch", little did I know it was the Drift King with the spot on home delivery
thank you so much for making this let’s play, RT, and thank you cloe for editing it all for us! twilight princess holds a very special place in my heart, and i knew you would praise it just as much as i do as a fellow fan of the zelda series. amazing video!
I caught up with the VODs. Happy to see this uploaded here too. Can't wait to watch all of it. Thank you Dan for playing Twilight Princess. One of the best Zelda games in my opinion.
1:00:30 This. This right here is why I love this channel. Just a man playing games to remember them in for all their glory (and flaws) and having his own fun with each experience. It doesn't feel like there are many creators like that anymore and it's honestly inspiring to see him still hold that spark even after so many years and struggles.
Also, I'm incredibly upset that I did not beat evil yeti lady as fadt as you did, I had so much trouble with this boss fight and I just played it a year or two ago....what the heck
Your commentary really just adds so much to this whole experience. My wii broke down years ago and I couldn't bring my wii U with me when I moved out, so I wasn't sure if I'd get to play this again for a long time. Thank you for helping me relive this game again
I had this game at a young age, and was so excited to play it. Alas, no matter how many hours i spent on it, i could never progress past the fishing minigame in the first town. Excited to finally be able to experience the game as a whole, and to let those fish know they should fear dan

RT I genuinely love the toad voice. I mute and skip all the sections where you are not doing it. Please continue to include at least 0:39 minutes of toad in each video or I will unsubscribe. There are many others who feel this way. This is not a joke.
You playing the Sonic Music while Yeta was waddling along slower than Yink in 2 ton boots had me HOWLING. love the videos man. im excited to see what your thinking about changing for next year! you keep alluding to it in your streams and im curious lol. Also Yeta and Yeto Best Couple in the Legend of Zelda serious hands down. Edit: Also congrats on the temple of time boss. i don't suffer from the same Phobia but from everyone i have talked to that damn boss ticks every single box on the trigger list for the fear of spiders!
What RT didn't mention in this video about the Temple of Time, and what I don't think was obvious with the edits, is that the dungeon is a tower with the missing statue at the top. You ascend solving puzzles on the way, then backtrack down the whole tower but with the statue, changing up all the floors in the process. It's such a cool dungeon, and with it introducing darknuts as the miniboss that's just the cherry on top. Darknuts are my favourite Zelda enemy, and TP easily has the best darknuts in the franchise.
Man, I remember my older brother and I playing this waaaay back, I think we got it for Christmas together with the Wii. We got real stuck on the cat/fishing puzzle way in the beginning. It wasn't shown here in the vid (and not sure if they changed it) but IIRC you had to keep fishing to fill your inventory so that when you caught the next fish you'd drop it on the ground and that would attract the cat. I think I tried playing it a few times as I got a few years older but kept getting stuck on puzzles and stuff. I've played other Zelda games since, and while it's not a genre I've played extensively, It still has a special place in my heart and is to me one of the most archetypical video games out there, and generally fits a ton of very human narrative of myth, good vs evil, humble origins and great purpose, and how those same building blocks can be re-arranged again and again. My Wii is unfortunately bricked, so I can't really return and play it. But I did find one of my all-time favorite youtubers years ago when I went looking for a Let's Play of it, a guy named Olizandri, who plays through a solid variety of titles, some newer games, some older. He tends to play through entire series/franchises, and aims for 100% completion but without it being heavily edited or tedious to watch. It's nice to see it again though, kind of missed Twilight Princess, and the gloomy, slightly grittier take on the Zelda world. I think it's one of the exceedingly few Zelda games where Link is actually wearing proper armor as part of his tunic, a suit of chainmail underneath the green garb. I think they sorta returned to this look with one of the Hyrule Warriors games, but may be misremembering. Wish they'd do it again, the vibrancy of Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom was neat, but I think Twilight Princess did a much better job showing a desolate and 'post-apocalyptic' world.
If memory serves, the first fish you catch is added to your record (and gets the cats attention.) The second fish goes to the cat. There is no fish inventory lol.
Midna was only strong because she had the Triforce of wisdom, the only way she would have been able to get through a Triforce barrier. After she gave Zelda's soul back, she was immediately beaten. The fuse Shadow is a tool to utilize the Triforce.
Tbf, the Twi (Twili? whatever) are sealed *because* of the Goddesses, so it makes sense that the Triforce is on a different tier than the Fused Shadow.
Hey RT, I just wanted to say...Thank you for letting the whole title sequence play uninterrupted and without commentary. I love your humor and your uploads, but you absolutely know when to let something just...Be. I've always loved Twilight Princess, it's my favorite in the whole series without being able to articulate why. But I love it. I love the title sequence so much. So, thank you...and thanks for the whole trip, it was a riot and a treat!
Fun fact about the canoe minigame, a lot of people complain about the controls being weird, but my understanding is that it is actually remarkably accurate to the feeling of canoeing

Honestly I love that OoT Link teaches TP Link. OoT Link had so many lingering regrets but I’m sure it makes him happy that TO Link doesn’t share his biggest regret. TP Link got to say goodbye to the friend he traveled with. Sure, it was a bittersweet goodbye, but he got that closure. OoT Link’s soul is probably still out there, looking for his friend. That, beyond any other reason, is why I think the hero’s shade is around. He didn’t stay to pass on his teachings, despite what he says. His soul is stuck searching.

Yeah dan is bae, cannot wait for more :/
Absolutely, he has well earned his place in my top 3 RUclipsrs for the just under 5 years I’ve watched him now, funny AND genuine, he’s a really nice presence, absolutely.
absolutely agreed. he treats the games he plays with so much respect and it's great to watch.
Time for my regular telling everyone to read the Twilight Princess manga. It was the only Zelda manga to get a massive manga adaptation longer than a single volume, spanning 58 chapters over 11 volumes, and it somehow improves upon Twilight Princess' already near perfect story.
I only have the first 4 volumes, but can confirm, it’s incredible and very worth the read
Clapping Midna cheeks is canon.
Okay, so. This is such a small thing, but the fact that RT kept the start of the video purely about the opening sequence with no commentary means SO much to me. TP was my 2nd Zelda game after Skyward Sword, and both hold a special place in my heart. Seeing this game being treated with reverence from the start made such an impact.
I just wish he would've started talking after the "Midna's Lament" leitmotif was over, I adore that part to BITS.
Malo just taking that slingshot to the forehead is the most intimidating thing in this whole game.
I think Malo becoming an anime idol tycoon is equally intimidating. That dance is burned into my memory...
2:56:50 The real chad move is to wear the iron boots and drained magic armor in this cutscene to show it was all in his head.
I remember doing this every time after I beat it the first time as a kid and I loved every second of just CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK
Nahh it wasn’t all in his head, he was just very happy to see Midna alive ❤
@@nightmarethedragonthe joy of seeing Midna alive gave him the strength to overcome everything
I find it really funny that at 8:34, when Ordan gets attacked, BigHorse just disappears in two seconds and no one questions it. As a kid, I just thought my horse had the ability of teleportation but didn't like me enough to teleport with me.
I mean look at that abominable form link has while riding I wouldn’t like him either, that cannot be comfortable for either party
Canonically the prettiest Link 😂
Ugh the soundtrack never fails to give me shivers
I always thought HW Link was also pretty, but that game isn't mainline
he is very pretty, and it is a wonderful soundtrack
Idk, he feels more handsome than pretty to me
Botw/Totk is what I'd call pretty, TP is . . .something else, I don't know what, but I _do_ like it 😏
You cannot say he is prettier than BotW and specially TotK, dude slay in so many different ways it's not even funny anymore
46:58 "You know, you may be a big guy... but you're no big man" then slowly walks away got me💀
tbh my favorite bit of this playthrough
every time he walks away in those boots it kills me
Fun fact link is vibrating violently it's used in a speedrun to get the least items possible where you have to get a ruppee and sit in that place for 4 hours to phase through a gate
Excuse me?
@@shinymainespoon He just needs prep time
@@shinymainespoonheyyyy I saw that video too!
Big Man may be part of Deep Cut in the Splatoon universe, but did you know they also used to call him the Stamp King back in Hyrule
Lil man’s all grown up and is Big man now
I’ve been so excited for this one since Wind Waker
Both are such amazing games, great to see him play them on the channel!
The GameCube COOKED with Zelda games.
I also have pretty severe arachnophobia and I really don’t like having to deal with spiders.
i think this game might have contributed to my arachnophobia growing up tbh
I love spiders, so I don't really get it. So long as they're not actively crawling on you, there's no issue
Pure Luigi energy. Daisy IS his Drift Queen after all
Although, let's also not forget that one time he modded his Subnautica game to get rid of the spider-crab-jellyfish creatures. He may be brave, but he has his limits.
My love for twilight princess is immeasurable. It was my first ever zelda game i’ve ever played, its weirdly horrific, but also feels magical with its enemies. I find this to be one of the best games ever.
Something most people don’t seem to know, is you can use the Finishing Move on almost all of the mini bosses and bosses. It’s a small, but nice touch.
It's so cool
really funny to me that the only one he managed to do it to was the fucking frog
8:24 “No matter what happens on your journey, don’t try to do anything…out of your league.”
“Hyah!” (Doesn’t listen, proceeds to get involved in a globe-trotting, dimension hopping adventure to seal an ancient evil away and topple a corrupt king)
Yeah. It wasn't out of Link's league. Just the average Tuesday afternoon.
Look, that's just a regular week for Link, or 3 days that get replayed over and over if you have Majoras Mask😂.
Speedrunning the games is the canonical storyline. Link is more powerful than worldeaters.
turns out it was all within his league.
It's a shame really, WW was an awesome game...
And now people are realizing the art style has let the game aestetically age hardly at all compared to 95% of other games. Even skyward sword has aged more.
thats not why they made TP...originally the game wasn't even approved by Miyamoto but he had no ideas at the time if I recall correctly
Adopting this headcanon
2:44:20 Another fun fact to add here, the Spirit of the Hero does not need to be related to former heroes...but this is the rare case where it is. The Hero of Time is the Grandpa (Or Great Grandpa I can't remember) of the Hero of Twilight here...and if you wanna know, the Grandma is Malon from Lon Lon Ranch in OoT. Fun facts for fun people!
The manga that was released for this game actually expanded on the dynamic with the moblin/orc buy and even he got a cool arc. I highly recommend it if you really enjoy the Twilight Princess story
The Midna and Link dynamic was do good in the manga
You truly are missing out.
1:04:01, I really love the dynamic of the soldiers dipping right after hearing dangerous beasts.
Hyrulian soldiers are always weak cowards...
Link stole all of Hyrules courage for himself
I always love how Link and Midna’s friendship truly begins to blossom in the events after the water temple. Sacrifices, near death experiences, and life saving aside, maybe part of it was the suspension bridge effect over one of the most infamous dungeons in the series? Who’s to say.
0:48 OH YEAH that's the good stuff. This is genuinely one of my favorite games ever.
Wait, WHADDAYA mean final lets play all?!? Is Daniel going on an extended vacation?
Ooccoo is called that because #00CC00 is the hex colour code used for Link's green tunic in the original game
Oh wow i never knew that!
This game is a metaphor for me being sick right now. Im so photosensitive i have to ‘watch’ this with the screen brightness all the way down, eye closed, lights off and curtains drawn.
I too wish to return to the world of light…..
Sorry but there's an added bit of humour since your name is @LIGHTSAnon. Hope you got better since then
@ Haha, good point! I didn’t even think of that. I’m feeling much better now, thank you.
There are countless incredible games out there, but none have ever managed to grip me like Twilight Princess has. Easily my favorite game, always has been
44:30 link can tank getting dragged from the depths of hell through several miles of earth in a dragons teeth, and this one just needed more weight to take on professional sumo wrestlers, i think link is just built diff
So something that just dawned on me. At 2:54:53, Ganondorf just calls the master sword and impressive looking blade. He has no clue this sword can kill him because twilight princess takes place in the child time-line, where Ganondorf was sent to be executed before he could take over hyrule in OoT.
I don't know why but "Big Man. Big Horse." sounds like a song made by a black metal/country fusion band.
Reminds me of Alestorm's "Big Ship Little Ship". Metal piratey song
Ganon's silent scream as you land the final blow on him will forever be cemented as the coolest moment in gaming for me.
OH MY RUMBLETUMBLEGAMING
I went to grab food, head the familiar tune and was like "Nice, autoplay chose Twlight Princess essay for me to watch", little did I know it was the Drift King with the spot on home delivery
39:10 One of the most epic moments ever immediately runs into fence
thank you so much for making this let’s play, RT, and thank you cloe for editing it all for us! twilight princess holds a very special place in my heart, and i knew you would praise it just as much as i do as a fellow fan of the zelda series. amazing video!
I remember playing this game on the Wii, and saying "this game looks like a movie". Oh how the times have changed.
Proud of dan for the progress he's made in overcoming his arachnophobia. I've seen him get better in recent videos, and it hasn't gone unnoticed.
could be a 15-20 part series but no. one 3 hour video. Edited to perfection.. thank you very much RT and Cloé, the real talent here.
The best legend of Zelda with the best soundtrack. Midna's lament hits incredibly hard.
Dug through the comments just to find this! Such a great soundtrack that perfectly matched to tone of the game
1:08:21 "You put this on and you can swim and BREED freely underwater which is huge"
Oh the joys of the Irish coping with TH words
28:40 SO glad someone else appreciates how good the first ~10 seconds of the Hyrule Field theme are, it's a jam!
1:56:44 the fact you're *still* faster even with the iron boots kills me
I had this game at a young age, and was so excited to play it. Alas, no matter how many hours i spent on it, i could never progress past the fishing minigame in the first town. Excited to finally be able to experience the game as a whole, and to let those fish know they should fear dan
1:40 literally me at 6-7 years old! never heard of zelda at all before, booted it up and named link like me (and epona like my sister, lol) thinking i could choose to be a girl or a boy.. was not prepared at all for this random game my sister got me to be a masterpiece and change my life forever :')
RT I genuinely love the toad voice. I mute and skip all the sections where you are not doing it. Please continue to include at least 0:39 minutes of toad in each video or I will unsubscribe. There are many others who feel this way. This is not a joke.
This is true
You playing the Sonic Music while Yeta was waddling along slower than Yink in 2 ton boots had me HOWLING. love the videos man. im excited to see what your thinking about changing for next year! you keep alluding to it in your streams and im curious lol. Also Yeta and Yeto Best Couple in the Legend of Zelda serious hands down.
Edit: Also congrats on the temple of time boss. i don't suffer from the same Phobia but from everyone i have talked to that damn boss ticks every single box on the trigger list for the fear of spiders!
Quite possibly my favorite 3d Zelda game. I love Twilight Princess so much from Midna to the music to the world to the story.
Can't blame Link. I, too, would do absolutely anything and everything if Midna was commanding me
You know RT loves his fans because he knew going into this he’d have to fight that giant spider boss.
I love this game so, so, so ver much. Thank you for playing this, Daniel. It means so very much to me.
I think RT just dropped the fish? Need to rewatch the vod to make sure
This was the first long let’s play of RT’s I was able to watch entirely on stream. Really excited to now watch the Cloé edit of it.
Thank you Dan for these megacompilations and streams, and thank you Chloe for your masterful editing of days worth of stream down into these videos!
The best Zelda.

@@tornadoawe I feel like the Twili people were the clan mentioned in Majora's Mask, and that's why they ended up there.

I played this on the Wii back in those days. It's my favorite Zelda game. The ascetic, the monster design, the story are all amazing.
Fun fact about the canoe minigame, a lot of people complain about the controls being weird, but my understanding is that it is actually remarkably accurate to the feeling of canoeing
Thank you for the video RT!
Twilight Princess was my first 'real game', still love the game to this day :)
2:26:51 it was a highlight for me that RT said my dumb comment on stream BUT CLOÉ i'm in tears, thanks for editing it into this let's play video ❤
DANIEL YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS GAME. THANK YOU
I watched this live on Twitch on my phone because my PC died and now I get to be watch this with my little one and it's great. 🙏💖
On the segment of existential hope, my child has just gotten into Lord of the Rings and is reading the Hobbit with her dad.
Santa is getting her(and me 👀) LoZ: Bed of Wisdom for Christmas and it's thanks to your video!
Like Cirdan tells Gandalf when he gives him Narya, your content "Rekindles hearts in a world that grows chill".
Also Chloe is the editing GOAT; She never ceases to amaze me by her talent and prompt editing!
Ty you guys and happy holidays!
the slightly edgier art style of this game is awesome. I'm so used to ToTK and BoTW with its softness and saturated colours, this is so fresh to me
Honestly I love that OoT Link teaches TP Link.
I do love that little bit in the middle of existential hope. Especially with Dan being sick a bit over the year.
This is probably (definetly) gonna make me cry, it's the first zelda game i actually played and my favourite to this day
1:55:00 from what I remember about the ice mansion it used to be a regular mansion for like hylian royalty/nobility (dont remember which) and during a war it was converted into a military outpost and now it just belongs to a lovely yeti couple
King Bublin's biggest problem against Link was choosing to fight Link with an axe, forgetting that gives him triangle disadvantage. Poor guy was destined to lose every time
My grandma just passed away this morning and Big Man and BigHorse is making me genuinely chuckle. Thank you, Dan.
Thank you RT so much for this series. I love watching these videos multiple times even, especially when falling asleep to something. From Wind Waker to TP. Thank you so much! You are probably my most watch CC as of the past few years! Thanks again!
As someone who was still in elementary when I got this for my birthday I can tell you that no. I did not in fact, know what I was getting into.
Still my favorite Zelda of all time though.
Hell yeah!! I love TP, happy you played it!! I only got to watch the first vod but I'm happy I can see the rest condensed down! I love this game so much I actually based one of my clay throwing finals on Midna's helmet :]
i remember playing this so much on the wii, i hated the water temple with such a passion that i had a save for just after it. and every new save i would play up to the water temple and then load up that 1 save, and overwrite the new game with it and just keep playing from there.
33:03 They do actually notice you do that if you speak to their spirits after.
Link vibrating as a wolf really gives the impression of a dog with husky hardware, but chihuahua software
RT, you can't believe how long I've waited for this day to come. Your videos are excellent, and before even watching it, I can tell I'm in for one hell of an adventure seeing you save not ONE realm, but TWO, and I hope you enjoyed this game as much as I did - both as a kid and now.
You know, when I first saw the thumbnail I didn’t have my glasses on. So what I saw, was a centipede-esque nightmare of link and Epona. Legs and all.
12:59 i had youtube autoplay on and i woke up to RT boldy declaring himself as zelda
The first ad I got after RT got the spinner was a beyblade one. Incredible.
I didn't expect you to play one of my favorite Zelda games in the franchise! This is what got me into Legend of Zelda in the first place and I adore it. I can't believe I'll be able to binge almost 3 hours of this! So thank you RT, I'm sure I'll get many giggles outta this.
I love that the names Big Horse and Big Man make the characters sound like cavemen.
Big Man use Sharp Rock to smack This One Guy. Small Queen is actually Big Queen :0
I was too young to play it during the time, but I still have such a nostalgia for it. I remember so vividly watching my dad play it at the time, so I still look back at it really fondly! He made all those puzzles seem so cool.
