There's nobody like Freddie Mercury and likewise, there's nobody like Adam Lambert either. After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Freddie Mercury's Phoenix Trust Fund Team chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to date. In 2014, Freddie Mercury's mum voiced her wish that Adam Lambert be QUEEN's permanent frontman, she and Kash were special guests during QUEEN and Adam Lambert's 2015 Nottingham Concert and after Adam sang Who Wants To Live Forever, a Sir Brian May's composition, the standing ovation and deafening BRAVOS was palpable. Freddie's family respects and loves Adam Lambert and has been inviting him to their homes for special occasions. Adam Lambert is singular and no one alive comes close to his remarkable artistry. Sir Brian May received over half a million calls, texts and a clip of Adam Lambert's audition for his solo career in 2009's AIS8. Roger Taylor and Phil Spike Edney were blown away with Adam's rendition of Whole Lot Of Love and the song has been added on their setlists as well as some songs from Adam's solo career Albums. After the 2009's AIS8 finale, Sir Brian May had a private conversation with Adam and expressed his desire to collaborate with him in the future. Their 1st live on stage performance was in 2011 at The European MTV Music Awards, 2nd was in 2012, three free full Concerts in Eastern Europe and three in London, 3rd was in September 2013, in Las Vegas NV USA at the I ❤Music Festival, albeit 19+ minutes, it became the true inception of their multiple successful worldwide tours because Music Promoters were stepping on each other's toes to promote them. Their 1st live on stage performance in North America commenced in June 2014 in Chicago Illinois. These FACTS are highlighted on QUEEN and Adam Lambert's 2019 The Show Must Go On NETFLIX movie.

@@Dragonlass68 To begin with, I want to thank you for all of the so interesting info you have provided me with. I can tell you know so much about Adam's professional evolution. And not that I'm contradicting you, but in my case, I'm a member of the Generation X, which means that I grew up with Queen. I remember having listened to their tunes on the radio frequently, since the band was in full swing in the 80s, when I was in elementary school. I know part of the band's repertoire, and I have always admired all of its members for the fact of being talented, professional musicians. On the other hand, I can understand you consider Adam an astounding professional, but he will never be able to replace the legacy Freddie was able to leave after he passed away. There is no comparison between Freddie and Adam, honestly speaking. And I hope you will be able to get that some day.

It is their band, they were the original members and the force behind Queen from the beginning. They wrote many of Queen’s most well known songs and play them because those are the songs people know, love, and want to hear played live again. What’s wrong with that? Many bands play their hits in concert. Tribute bands do not contain original members, especially ones who founded the band.

Vocal Strengths: Adam Lambert has expert control over his instrument, producing notes that are well supported, and achieved via great technique. He is capable of singing complex melisma and is able to hold notes for periods of time without wavering in pitch or tone, seemingly effortlessly. He is an expert at mixing his voice so that the breaks between the registers aren't identifiable, and the effect of this is that it makes the voice sound almost limitless.
The lower range is dark and weighty, with a breathy quality to it in its lowest extremes. However it begins to solidify, and gain a more confident tone, quickly as it rises.
The midrange is solid, of medium weight and rounded. It can be used with a raspier, edgier texture- verses of Whataya Want From Me- or can be made sweeter, warmer and softer-A Loaded Smile- depending on what is called for. It leads fluently into the belting range.
The belting range is Adam Lambert's strongest suit. The voice possesses an elastic quality that allows it to stretch high up into the fifth octave and though the tone is light- when compared to the lower range- it's resonant, clear, bright and truly impressive. The upper fifth octave notes can be reached by mixing with the head voice, to create a strong, fuller tone or they can be sung in a rocky, piercing falsetto-Music Again 0.49- that is markedly contrasting to the breathy, sweet falsetto many males utilise. These notes can be further polished by the addition of his quick vibrato.
Adam Lambert also has a robust and piercing head voice, that, like the rest of his range, displays excellent dynamics and control.
