I agree totally. I followed them from 1973 to the bitter end and this was their finest moment. They combined the raw sound of the first album with the sofistication of the second album and made a master piece filled with vocal and instrumental harmonies that were unique to Queen.
...And you would be right as rain. What a monster of a record. It played in my eight-track night after night. Between this and LZ "Physical Graffiti" my tape player was never lonely.
Great comment, although Iron Maiden were not formed until 1975. Though Steve Harris' band Smiler or Gypsy's Kiss may have been playing shows around this time
@@smokesletsgo2374 yeah and Priest weren't really Priest until Sad Wing of Destiny in 1976. And they influenced Maiden after that point too, Steve Harris was going to their gigs in the 70s
Oh man... this is more than speed metal. It's Queen Rockin' in the Mercury/May way. Way before it's time and it set the bar really high. Without Queen we would have no Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, or others that respected and emulated them. Too bad things went south in the States in the early 80's when Queen for the most part left their hard rock/hair band roots. Something was lost. But at least we have RUclips!
Yes I agree, but by the 80s heavy rock was a thing of the past. I remember that bands that stuck in that mode were eviserated and died à death. Queen stayed relevant, and tried other genres, Freddie in particular wasn't afraid to fall flat on his face.Sometimes they got it wrong but they survived as a unit throughout the 80s and beyond whereas alot of bands broke up.
FIRE !!! The boys were so tight and Freddie`s singing so fast and never misses a word. That is a band you DON`T wanna follow after they leave the stage. What are you gonna do to exite the crowd after that??
+Javier Rohringer keep on coming. Queen were EVERYTHING..except auto tune and dubstep. the rainbow concert dont have auto tuned, what a slander that was (:V)
In 1974, my gr. 11 English class was assigned to pick a song and write a paper about the song lyrics. I don't recall what others chose, except for a tune by Gentle Giant, which was pretty teacher-friendly. I choose Stone Cold Crazy and the class was silent after it played. I recall our teacher being a bit shell-shocked.
The XX century musicians had a particular talent to make music, and they were capable of proving it throughout their professional career. In my opinion, I would say that's the biggest difference with the new-generation artists, who are individuals that lack of both talent and skills to do their job well.
(Freddie:…this is a number from the 'Sheer Heart Attack' album, 'Stone Cold Crazy') (Roger: A one, two, three, four, a one, two, three, four) Sleeping very soundly on a Saturday morning I was dreaming I was Al Capone There's a rumor going 'round, gotta clear outta town Yeah, I'm smelling like a dry fish bone Here come the law, gonna break down the door Gonna carry me away once more Never, I never, I never get it anymore Gotta get away from this stone cold floor Crazy Stone cold crazy, you know ¡Ow! (Applause).
No light show. No pyro. No flames. No screens. Just basic light so the stage is illuminated. Still probably the best show ever recorded
lmao delete this
I saw these guys back up Mott the Hoople in 1974 before anyone knew who they were...including me. It was freaking awesome!
KISS is the band that started pyrotechnics at concerts!!!
dont hate on rammstein
No smartphones!!!! 😅😂🙏
GOD save THIS QUEEN .
Let’s hope he does cuz he didn’t do a good job with the other one

I always said Sheer Heart Attack was their finest album, solid rock from start to finish, fantastic!
I agree totally. I followed them from 1973 to the bitter end and this was their finest moment. They combined the raw sound of the first album with the sofistication of the second album and made a master piece filled with vocal and instrumental harmonies that were unique to Queen.
Same
Ah yes Bring Back That Leroy Brown that classic rock song
With Queen II and Innuendo Imo

Queen KICKING ASS back in the day. ROCK ON!!!!!!
Да, стоит признать сей факт- Stone Cold Crazy первая песня в стиле трэш- металл! В то время никто так не играл!
This is 1974, when British bands were untouchable. Zep, Maiden, Judas, Queen, Sabbath..

UK 70's rock, never a finer time to listen to music.
Except maybe 18th, 19th century
Jeez…live. Absolutely KILLING it.
Freddie Mercury was a great entertainer..he had that look n could belt out a song...RIP Freddie!
When I first started playing the drums back in NYC. this was one of the songs I had to learn to keep up with the gang.
how did you fare? did you needed ice pack for the knee or oxygen? just kidding
It's a sick groove
Did this song in 77 with a band out of D.C. Great tune! We were four guys doing four part harmonies and playing it all!
1:19 to 1:20 -- perfect modulation!

Phil Wegman with Innuendo we got everything back though :) except for Freddie's death :(
ikr
This song gave birth to Metalica kind of sound and style. But back then they did it with such elegance, genius....
this is the first thrash metal song ever

Queen their absolute best.

It would be cool if you could publish your analysis of this songs lyrics if they have any depth.
50 years ago!!! Unbelievable!!!
as incredible and ground breaking as their studio albums were, their live shows also kicked ass consistently.... on point. Like always.

They are very good musicians 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
great to see Hetfield open up about being inspired by Queen!
I know queen and metallica are some of the best bands
I'm impressed !
Here is where I show my age. I wasn't alive for this and the first time I heard the song was Metallica's cover of it. I didn't realize it was Queen...

I'm in love with this band ♥️♥️
I've never seen this from '74 before.. this is fast.. this is tight!
Love Brian's old guitar tone
FANTASTIC!!!
On albums or during live performances, Mercury's voice is still pleasant to listen to. Different from music today.
Brian nailed it,a great band😊😊😊

Sleeping very soundly on a Saturday morning
I was dreaming I was Al Capone
There's a rumor going 'round, gotta clear outta town
Yeah, I'm smelling like a dry fish bone
Here come the law, gonna break down the door
Gonna carry me away once more
Never, I never, I never get it anymore
Gotta get away from this stone cold floor
Crazy
Stone cold crazy, you know
¡Ow!
Rainy afternoon I gotta blow a typhoon and I'm playing on my slide trombone
Anymore, anymore, cannot take it anymore
Gotta get away from this stone cold floor
Crazy
Stone cold crazy, you know
Watch-a
Walking down the street, shooting people that I meet
With my rubber- tommy water gun
Here come the deputy, he's gonna come and getta me
I gotta get me get up and run
They got the sirens loose
I ran right outta juice
They're gonna put me in a cell, if you can't go to heaven
Would you let me go to hell
Crazy
Stone cold crazy, you know
Ah.
(Applause).
A strong and solid performance.
Queen hacia lo que querían con l música 😊

I don't know, maybe one of them, but i thing not the first
Nope. they made Modern Times Rock n' Roll on the first album. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/NxjF1QFlYak/видео.html
Mother times rock n roll is as punker than sex pistols, and son and daughter is Doom
People must realize that Metallica in 90s covered a '74 Queen song. How Queen was so ahead
Lo mejor
