Net Proceeds from the sale of this release will be paid to the Mercury Phoenix Trust -Fighting AIDS worldwide.
On April 20th 1992, Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon, the surviving members of Queen, took to the stage at Wembley Stadium for the start of one of the biggest events in rock history, which the band had organised to pay tribute to their former colleague -- the incomparable Freddie Mercury. Queen were joined by some of the greatest musical talent in the world to celebrate Freddie's life and work and to increase public awareness of AIDS, the disease that had prematurely ended his life the previous year. As well as being great entertainment, the concert raised a huge and still growing sum of money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity formed at the time whose charter is the relief of suffering from AIDS throughout the world. Now for the first time both halves of the concert are being made available on Digital video.
Special guests include David Bowie, Gary Cherone, Roger Daltrey, Def Leppard, Joe Elliot, Extreme, Bob Geldof, Guns 'n' Roses, James Hetfield, Ian Hunter, Tony Iommi, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Metallica, George Michael, Liza Minnelli, Robert Plant, Mick Ronson, Axl Rose, Seal, Slash, Lisa Stansfield, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Young & Zucchero.

Queen and Slash and Joe Elliot all on one stage. How can people dislike this?
Those must be the popheads who like nothing but computer generated shit
aranya basu lmaooo
If only steve was there
Likers of good music can occasionally stumble on a shit video like this and need to downvote to remind you all how overrated Queen is.
@@MrDanieloneill OK? It seems a bit odd to click on a Queen video when you don't like Queen
Brian May's voice. DAMN.
"DAMN" INDEED! His voice is AMAZING!!
I love it (Way more than Roger's)
@Kevin Prima You're saying it as to sing is incredibly hard and needs years of expertise, while the guitar is just a simple instrument
Nah joe elliot blew him outta the water!
Brian + Roger
He isn't Freddie, give the man his due he can sing as well, as he plays guitar.
I love how Brian just smiles at Slash. He's not salty about the fact that Slash stole the show.
The most humble rock star - Brian Harold May
Yeah, dude's really amazing, just by looking at his face you can see the nice guy he is regardless of being a rock God.
The most humble there is deaky.
Two of my favourite lead players in one spot. Brian doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. They are both are legendary lead guitarists.
I wouldn't say slash stole the show I mean he probably didn't know what was going on
Passing the crown on bro, that’s what he was doing
You have to love John Deacon! Awesome performance
I just said nice to see john deacon
He's doing his Billy Wyman imitation, all cool n' calm amid the chaos
I agree. I've watched John deacons bass lines. He worked very hard. What a trooper!
Brian and Slash playing together, you can't deny how much Slash looks like Brian's dark side. It's awesome.
southparkfan2717 I was thinking they looked alike there, but the way you worded it is perfect 😂
So true! lol
Omg yes
True!😂
He killed it!
2:07 I love how Brian is so excited to have Slash on stage, that he forgets he's supposed to play the first solo for a second. And when he gives slash the nod, and lets him know it's his time to rip, you can see how visibly excited he gets. A great moment in rock history that can never be truly replicated.
Brian May + Slash + Joe Elliott = HAIR OVERLOAD!!!
SnarlyCharly lol
that would be "hair band" i could get behind!
an ur pictur is BOSTON!!!
Hahahaaaa. We all had more hair back then.
Sadly this was about the end of that era....
For the Young People, this is an example of what is real rock and roll.
Jimi Hendrix vs slash
@4. hakem yeh I'm 13 and I mean my parents never pushed this music on me but obv they grew up in it so like it. I been playing guitar for about 4 years now, seen slash live earlier this year, seen queen live (and MET BRIAN MAY as long story short I live in Nottingham and before my dad got his job at university he was a gardener and was the gardener for Freddie mercurys sister Kash and her husband roger, this being a lit of time after Freddie died but before I was born so early 2000s I would guess , and we saw queen in nottigham in 2017 I think and roger managed to get us backstage for a few mins before the show and I got a photo with Brian and a signature - Brian is very very tall btw n my dad is 6 foot 3 but Brian seemed very tall to me. So yeh ig that wasnt rlly short ha
@Rock N' Roll Fan Jimi Hendrix best Guitarist then Jimmy
Thank god I was raised with good music
@@jlkeeper8901 same
Live. No backing tracks, no auto tune. Just professional musicians at the top of their game.
Couldn't have put it better myself. Find it hard to try and think who could match this performance these days.
Oh yeah!!
@@route6671ever heard of King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizard?
It was an amazing concert.
Brian May and Slash =Two Legends
er, joe elliot..
@Gerry BerryNah Slash is One of a Kind
@Gerry Berry There are many that sound like Slash because people copy him. He isn't the best skill-wise, but when it comes to pure emotion, Slash is one of the greatest.
@Gerry Berry Bit of a late response, I wasn't notified about your reply 🙄
Slash's creativity is what makes him stand out for me. Yes, he's a bit sloppy live, but if you listen to his newer stuff, he still has brand new ideas and doesn't use the same riffs and licks all the time.
Kylo Fan Agreed. Plus the dude was always drunk, couldn’t even see, holds his guitar wrong all the time but still creates some of the greatest songs of all time in 5 minutes. There’s a reason Slash made it so big without the shredding and tapping craze. For sure a legend
What I love is the fact that despite it being a Queen song, Brian let Slash play, no ego, no "this is my song" drama just a professional giving a fellow professional the chance to light it up - and watching it enjoying it too!
Love Brian!
Brian's mature like that.
you tend to find that the acts who have that snotty outlook to other acts performing with them are the ones who don’t survive long. its a cut throat business and the acts who are still with us from the 50s have been able to embrace fellow artists
Yep Brian seems very down to earth
During the willy waggling duels you do get the impression that They are both thinking “ if this is a competition, I’m gonna win!” Until right near the end. Slash goes up the scale, Brian grins and admits defeat. Fabulous stuff. I have watched this again and again, it is terrific fun.
That crowd!!!!!❤❤❤❤...such an amazing show from start to finish 👏
Actually Brian looked like he really really enjoyed that part of the concert. Usually when he plays guitar, he's really steady and calm, so much that sometimes you forget that he is is a rock musician. But here he put his whole body and soul into it, along with slash
I noticed that too in the beginning he was just the standard Brian may but once slash came out he opened up way more
i sorta think that he was tryna have a battle with slash

Slash & Brian May on stage together = amazing
I agree with joe..
I disagree with joe with the fat part but slash does suck.....Same with Axl Rose... Axl rose throws too many fits and slash does way too much crack
Agree - two great musicians who sound amazing on stage together.
Horror Stories Slash doesn't use crack ever. I don't know what you've been smoking. Slash is amazing and just because your garage band has been rejected doesn't mean you have to vent towards him
' Pavarotti & friends
Slash: Head thrashing, bending, playing--never dropped that cigarette.
I was actually amazed he never ended up accidentally swallowing the bastard whole when he threw himself backwards.
The most accurate comment
Didn’t he drop his cigarette in a live version of Knocking on Heavens Door?
@@eliteKC i think he did, on porpose.

You lucky bitch
No you wasn't
Man""bow down to you what can I say!!!
Such a shame on you😁
I wasn’t alive when this happend... wished I was
This performance meant the world to Slash, as he and Axl Rose both were huge fans of Queen Look in the thanks section of any Guns N Roses CD and you'll see Queen
All original members from gnr were queen fans
It's awesome to see how legendary bands have inspired and been inspired by other legendary bands
yup its also why before SCOM on the UYI tour they would sometimes sing sail it way as an intro
Even MJ is fans of freddy
FIRSTLY, people tend to overlook just how much balls it took for Joe Elliot to get up there and be the first vocalist to perform with Queen after Freddie died and he did a fucking phenomenal job, man deserves a whole lotta respect for that, I know a lot of people sung with them that day, but to be the first... is courageous as hell.
SECONDLY, there is something about watching Brian and Slash play together that is so fucking magnetising... it gives me chills every time, I could watch those two for a hundred hours straight and not grow tired, I have goose bumps from just watching them play and the chemistry they share as two of the best guitarists to come out of the 20th Century.
Def Leppard always had one thing going for them, they don’t back down in a bad situation (reminder there drummer is one armed and still probably better than half of all rock drummers)
I agree with you completely
it was also def leppards first big concert (pretty sure) since steve died in 91
Joe Elliott is an absolute legend
Absolutely agree to that 💯 Joe Elliott is a brilliant man total respect to him
Who started loving Brian first and then went to slash and to see them together is magic!
I saw Slash first and then Brian, and you're right, it IS pure magic 🤩🤩
I don’t see a lot of people giving credit to Joe Elliott in this comment section, but I will, these 3 on the same stage was amazing
Travis Nevarez I feel like this song fits joes voice very well reminds a little of something off high n dry
This was great and also earlier on in the day when Brian played with Def Leppard for their rendition of Now I'm Here. I don't even like DL but they were all great for this concert
JOE!!!
I love him flying through the background while Slash & Brian are shredddddding it! It's so awesome!
yes!!
John Deacon is a legend!
Yes
coolest guy on the stage just doing his thing, absolute legend
absolutely! His smliing grin at 4:00 just made may day, love him!
wish we had disco deaky on this concert
Absolutely, It was great seeing him here, as sadly he only performed two more times with the remaining members of Queen before retiring in 1997. Personally I wish Queen had hung up their hat then but at least they keep Deacy in the loop about things.
Freddie Mercury sold out Wembley Stadium on a few occasions, the final time he did it he was dead
Only a legend does this.
@Kevin Prima - yes because MJ was a solo artist, not in a band smh
I mean, Michael kinda did. From what I remember he even filled the streets outside the staples centre
Indeed the 72.000 tickets for this concert were sold out in a 3 hours.
And this was without any annouce about other performers. Only three names were written on it: Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. People didn't know about Daltrey, Slash, Elton John, Axl and so on.
Queen were superior: they sold out Wembley even without Freddie!
Caution: LEGENDS OVERLOADED!!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
🙌🙌🙌🙌🎶🎶🎶💞
Freddie quote: "I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend".
YOU'RE FUCKING RIGHT
Avengers🤘
Everybody is talking about Brian and Saul Hudson but nobody's talking about the perfect performance of Joe Elliott. This is so fucking amazing!!! Joe is a great singer, my favorite in fact!! Love Joe Elliott 😍❤️
I wonder if Slash remembers any of this.....
Brad DeYoung he doesn’t age
Slash doesn’t exist
Karson Kalabo ? He and Axl have now a good friendship since 2016, the year of the return of the original Guns n' Roses...
Did u forget they reunited and are all good now
He wasn't the fucked up one in Gn'R at this concert - that was Duff. Duff immediately got off stage and collapsed. You can find an interview with him at this show and he can barely speak.
The only difference between Slash and Brian is that Brian can see the crowd and his guitar.
after having seeing deff leppard guitars players slash doesn't sound so good
That's exactly why I sometime wonder how the Fuck his solo are so imaginative............He technically can't see and holds his guitar totally wrong (much to low).........He must be a natural :-)
AdamasMst he is one with the guitar
Rik Karsten
Including his hair :-)
I laughed way to hard at this ^^
Joe Elliott, Slash and Brian May on the same stage! What a great combo!
John Richard Deacon, being so composed and with that little smile. The guy was and still should be an amazing bass player. Hats off to you John for all your amazing work "and love" you put into Queen. 👍👍👍❤️

It literally looks like Brian May's darkside is playing with him
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
did you not see him playing with tony iommi?

That bright side forgot to put on his cigarette

Now this is what i call to rock the fuck out of a concert hair+ guitars+ great voices and dont forget the kick ass crowd
Joe Elliott was the perfect person to sing this song and to be the first to sing with Queen as a frontman after Freddie..... must have been enormous pressure but he nailed it. Slash, well what can you say about him other than phenomenal.
