I can't count the number of times me and my buddies would be headbanging to this on the Garage Days ep only to then find out years later it was an original by Queen. After I found that out I went and checked out every damn thing I could find from Queen.

Metallica were influenced by Queen. They then covered Stone cold crazy.

Sorry. I prefer Freddie’s version. Even live, you can understand the lyrics.
Brian May is still using the Red Special to this day, touring with Adam Lambert (yuck!) He built the guitar with his Dad because he wanted a certain sound. They also used the Deacy amp (designed by John Deacon) to give May’s guitar “orchestral” sounds on other Queen songs.

Thanks for the info! I think I ultimately prefer Freddie's version too, but Hetfield did a great job :-)

Yes, May is still playing his original axe, common knowledge information. We both thought that it was a rocking version and was a fitting tribute to the dearly departed Freddy. Thanks for watching and commenting.🤘

I always loved this cover by Metallica. The first time I heard it on their Garage Inc. album, it knocked me out of my socks. It's hilarious.
So, when are you going to demonstrate to us your favourite King Crimson song? Or, maybe, Van der Graaf Generator? Something metal from them, like Ship of Fools? ruclips.net/video/e4IVF-h10g0/видео.html

No need for Hetfield's usually excellent rhythm guitar on this track as Messieurs May and Iommi clearly and most-ably handled all six-string-duties on this particular azz(!)-kicking RAWK ditty! Not to mention, Roger Taylor's excellent percussive prowess/backing vox and the fact
that John Deacon actually looked like he was having a good time. FYI: Great studio version of this track by Metallica on the 40th Anniversary
of Elektra Records "Rubaiyat" 2 CD collection. Long live Mr. May, King of Staccato!!
