Genres weren’t so refined back then; the “Punk” scene covered RKL, Sex Pistols, Minutemen, Butthole Surfers, Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Bad Brains, The Descendants; even crossover metal like DRI, Dr. Know and The Accused. The creative variety is what made this era so cool imo, even fashion was all over the place; half of the time the bad just looked like a bunch of tired 20somethings in stretched out old t shirts and unkempt hair while the crowd was a mix of skate fashion, mohawks, skin heads, fashion unconcerned folks and everything in between.

Everything after that has this sound. There is also an unreleased Demo of a few songs they recorded just before the band disbanded. Just search for "RKL unreleased last demo" or "RKL demo 2005".
