Seeing the 1000% full energy they put into every song on this video just blows my fucking mind. The power, the tightness, the skilled musicianship by all of them, and most of all, the pure hardcore adrenaline without even a hint of cheesy heavy metal. Way ahead of their time, under appreciated, ripped off by their record companies, living in punk rock poverty yet giving it their all, every fucking song. You can tell they're having fun, but also that they take the music seriously...like they were all tapped into something bigger than the sum of their parts. They must have practiced all the time to make it look so easy. Best punk band ever.

I’ve been to about 50 RKL show and I would say that they are the best Punk/Rock band of all time. Always a big influence and impact on my hometown of Bakersfield CA. RKL should’ve been huge. Got to good friends with Bomer when I lived at cap street studios. Thank for posting these videos. Marc Mad Dog from The Mentors.
saw them in Philly(1985ish) with Dr Know and NECROS... their set changed my life... my band does a cover of THINK POSITIVE 2019 34 years later... my favorite band ever!!!
Ok Now watched about 300 times. A tip for it sounding good, I have a hifi amplifier and by putting on the 'loudness' setting, turning the treble down a bit and the bass up a bit, now I have it at huge volume and it sounds balanced with the a nice deep bass.
the top band back then in top shape. absolutely unmatched und wem angesichts dieses auftritts nicht die spucke wegbleibt, dem ist leider auch nicht mehr zu helfen. setlist couldn't be better in any way too and while the whole band is at their zenith here it's jason and bomer at their best.
They were at their peak at the wrong time and also because of Jason's vocals. Good frontman, but in reality, he was a terrible vocalist. For musicians of their caliber, they needed a singer of the same caliber.
They should have been huge. I hate saying this, but Jason is what really held them back. That, plus they were a 'punk' band...so in the late 80's, getting huge wasn't really going to happen. But despite being a good frontman, Jason's vocals were not appealing. Especially not to those who weren't into them. He always sounded like he was playing a character to me..and always sounded exactly the same.

saw them twice in the 80's . Second time as supporting act, they were looking after the gig for a place to party and sleep.
Jan Drost Josh Brolin was the drummer of RKL in the early days

Why did they newer blow up??
They were at their peak at the wrong time and also because of Jason's vocals. Good frontman, but in reality, he was a terrible vocalist. For musicians of their caliber, they needed a singer of the same caliber.

I love Jason's voice! Keep Laughing got me hooked and I never looked back. RIP Jason and Bomber!
We have seen the result of RKL without Jason: Reactivate. Without Jason there is no RKL.
Yes they did great without him... RKL is Jason ☠️
