This is the Juan brujo interview I've been waiting for for decades.. Raymond and dino playing together again would be a dream come true for all the real brujería and fear factory fans!

Sad to say that he’s passed on and this will be the only long form interview of his. If you can get Fantasma (Pat Hoed) on hear to continue telling his story that would be awesome. RIP JUAN BRUJO EL PATRÓN!!!!

So cool to hear these stories in English. Brujeria changed my musical life when I was subjected to it in high school back in 95. Never thought I would ever see them perform live and was lucky to see them in Fort Worth, Texas in '07. The first 3 albums are absolute crushers. It was always fun to get my friends and coworkers of mexican descent to try and translate some of the lyrics and seeing their response to this white guy blasting the tunes at high volumes on lunch breaks. We all want more from stories from Juan Brujo. Matando Gueros!
i remember being in middle school 7th in 2003-04. went to my friends house to sleep over for the weekend and his brother who was 10 years older than us would play Deicide and Brujeria. I just got intom Rage Against The MAchine and Slipknot and this new stuff is Spanish was mindblowing. still a fan 20 years later.
Dude Brujo is an institution! His energy sparks magic and he created one of the greatest sounds in music. Super lucky to see them live down under and they slayed. Viva Brujeria!

But man, hearing him cry regarding his relationship with Dino was so heatfelt. These are the kind of dudes you need in your life. This dude is REAL, he'd have your back. Dino clearly needs to wake his ass up and see the bigger picture. He ain't getting any younger and these are the relationships that are for life. Ain't too many dudes out there crying over him, I'll tell you that. To have someone willing to put themselves out there like this, in public no less! Brujo clearly cherishes his time with Dino.

I bought Demoniaco! EP at a Fear Factory show in 91 (supporting Soul of a New Machine). There were 50 people at the audience and it was incredible. The band was very approachable, Dino was like "I play in this band with Billy from Faith No More, buy the ep"... and man it was a game changer. Great episode Chris!
Thank you for finally giving Juan Brujo the respect he is long overdue!!! This was a huge treat for old scool Brujeria fans!!! We need mas Brujo!!! He has so much more to tell about the metal / grind scene from so many years of experience. This man is the truth!!
Seeing Brujeria open for Napalm Death was life changing…. Small venue, not even 500 maniacs!!! Oh yeah…. Frozen soul opened for them!!!! Helluva show!!!!!
There is so much history behind this band, a mile stone for sure for the Mexicans death metal scene. Juan is like that cool ass Tio telling awesome stories. He’s really lived the rock star life.
I think Brujeria is the main reason I began to love Mexican and Latino culture as a gringo from the east coach US and become eventually near fluent in Spanish.
