    Quick correction, Extended Sensitivity isn't dual-base ISO (Arri imaging is intrinsically dual-gain and always has been), it's actually a form of temporal noise reduction.

    I don't get it, is there an embargo on Alexa35 footage? There's no new footage on youtube.

    We want to offer one clarification after talking with our friends at ARRI: Extended Dynamic Range isn’t called Dual ISO because its not the same thing, but causes a similar effect. Cheers!

    2TB codex are needed with the new 35 to shoot 4K 120 Arri Raw, which isn’t the case in mini LF only 1TB is enough & it doesn’t go that high in fps. I blv 100 fps in HD
    35 have two EVF port front & back.
    Side plates are build into the camera, much easier now to dismantle the cage if mounting on R2 or Movi pro.
    And the most important thing, the side display. Gives you fast access to shutter, fps, iso , ND , white balance & so many more,not available on the mini LF 🥰🔥
    35 gives you 4 x 24v output now too.
    3 more custom buttons, total of 9 vs 6 in mini LF

    @1:32
    Can someone please explain why the Amira with the 16:9 sensor can't accept anamorphic lenses? Btw I am so confused. In Arri's site it says for Amira: Super 35 format ARRI ALEV III. So it is a super 35 (isn't that less than a Full frame DSLR?) but can't do anamorphic? Soooo confusing. The world of cameras is so messed up. I can't keep up with all the different names and sizes.

      You can do anamorphic on 16:9, but if you want the “correct” 2.4:1 aspect ratio, you’re limited to 1.3x anamorphic, or you can use higher squeeze factor lenses (eg 2x) and crop the sides off in post. This isn’t ideal, because you’re then using a crop of a crop (see below)
      The full ALEV III sensor is roughly 3:2, but older Alexa’s and the Amira only have a 16:9 crop of the sensor enabled. For 2x anamorphic, you want to use the full height of the sensor (eg 4:3, 3:2 or 6:5), but the Amira can’t do this. Meaning if you take the “chop the sides off” approach, you’re cropping the 16:9 crop, leaving you with something like Super 16.
      You CAN do this, it’s just not ideal (in terms of quality and workflow) and not really something you should be doing if you’re at the level where you’re using Arri cameras and 2x anamorphic PL lenses
