I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
Great overview Patrick! However, I’ve never run into the issue you were talking about with having to reboot the mini to plug in the EVF. I’ve always been able to plug and go. While yeah, it takes a second for the EVF to boot, I haven’t had to shut down the camera, plug the EVF in, and reboot from there.
I came here to say the same. I hot plug all the time (I work a lot of Mini on Mōvi Pro jobs) and have never had an issue. The EVF does take a few seconds to turn on, but it always works.
You have enough shortcut’s on the body to adjust basic camera controls (EI, WB, SA, ND, basic playback, format card + programable user buttons) without the EVF, Web remote, third partie apps with the CAP of the camera or trough any WLCS (WCU4 or CPro). Just simply hold FN + UB1 for exposure en WB controls. FN + UB2 to format the card, press UB3 two times to execute. FN + UB3 for playback use UB 1, 2 & 3 as transport controls. 😉
That backdrop cutting right through your dome...c'mon Patrick! Super happy to see the studio up and running, can't wait for this to be a regular thing!
I'm not going to be able to call it anything other than Milf now and that's going to confuse the shit out of the ppl that know me. Also, I'm pretty sure Arri's going to hate you for this now Pat because it's going to stick. haha!
Err wait, the original mini didn't need to be rebooted to attach the EVF, it was always hot swappable. I've done it several times on gimble setups. The one up side is the new lemo connector for the new EVF is infinitely better placed and designed than the original and that does actually help
The early (and maybe current?) medium format digital stills cameras had stuck together sensors. It was great; you used to get a pic that was purple on one side and green on the other. You then had a file for your camera (only) that you applied in post to sort it out.
Finally something regarding the mini LF.....thank you. Good to hear good things about it.....mine is reaching next week. Tho I have a question.....does the S35 mode work now on your mini LF or we will have to wait for it ? And regarding playback with the mini try looking into smallhd cine 7.....it’s awesome & worth it.
You can actually pull up a menu from the buttons on the side of the orginal alexa mini. It is annoying to use, but much better than working out the wifi.
Tutorial how to shoot with it please.... from turning on camera, record, play back, and copy files to computer. Because I perhaps will never see it immediately in front of my eyes... lol
The media placement was by far the biggest fix. that was the one thing that i found myself cursing at on every single shoot. It cost so much time so many times, specially on hand held work where my AC couldnt just take the 10m seconds to reload while i held the camera, no...had to hand its over, set it down blah blah blah, now its 4minutes and now everyone has walked away, Starbucks orders are being placed, director went to take a piss. Poo
“You can only get this look on the LF.” That’s just plain wrong. There is a one stop difference between the LF and regular Alexa in terms of maximum shallow dof. There’re very few lenses that are fast enough to create a shallower DoF than the Master Primes on super 35 @ T1.3. Even Arri’s own Signature Primes have the exact same amount of shallow DoF wide open. But they let in a stop less light, which means you’re gonna need to raise the ASA, which is fine noise wise because of the larger sensor, but your dynamic range won’t be as good for low light as it is on the regular Alexa with a lower ASA. And that’s just regarding the supposed full frame look, that’s not talking about what you do to your storytelling when having every shot hell’a blurry in the background.
I get it, you guys are cinematographers but I'd prefer you'd thoroughly light the product you are reviewing. Oh and a razor thin depth of field is useless to me. I WANT TO SEE THE PRODUCT. Thanks.
It's awesome to see real working professionals on youtube, not just vloggers. Keep up the great work!! Have you used the signature primes yet?
I'll answer my own question to anyone who's curious: Podcast ep. 174
New studio 👌🏼 sound treatment panels FTW
ha! i might have went slightly overboard on the sound panels
looks and sounds really good.
@@wanderingdp Never.

maybe i was doing it wrong all along. i wouldn't put it past me

Same here haha. Never ever rebooted the camera plugging in the evf. Never heard anyone doing that!
@@wanderingdp never had a problem with this either. Also, you can press function 3 to playback so you don't need the evf for that at all anyway!

Your RUclips setup looks like straight out of a movie. Oh So Filmic. And of course, content is great. Love this channel! Subbed.
RED Dragon owner, Using one for the first time on a feature starting Monday. #excited
Dude, so happy to see a new vid from you. Video is dope thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Amazing, informative video, thanks so much for putting in time to make it
Love it man! Excited to see more stuff.
thanks Jesse
Awesome, this is def out of my budget for a camera but shows promise for future gear when the time comes. Thanks for the tutorial.
Great Video, super excited to see the work coming from this beast.
That backdrop cutting right through your dome...c'mon Patrick! Super happy to see the studio up and running, can't wait for this to be a regular thing!
it does make you wonder...as someone who is so critical of other's framing choices would I accidentally put a 12x12 backdrop directly through my head?

Lmao
Awesome set up
thanks
Nice video man! I hope there are more to come!
Holy shit I recognized the voice then saw the name of the channel. First time I see your face after listening to the podcast for months

Those are great improvements, I can't to try it out! Also looking forward to '1917,' filmed by Roger Deacons, with the MiniLF & Master Primes.
*Signature Primes
Amazing! I just got mine love it! Question, What aspect ratio did you use on camera and final export for this video?
You can actually pull up a menu from the buttons on the side of the orginal alexa mini. It is annoying to use, but much better than working out the wifi.
I really love the look of this video! Could you say some words about postproduction / color work on this? :)
Hello everyone today we are reviewing the ISS
A+
Been listening to podcast for a while now. can tell me who is Wanderboy ?
ONE DAY!!! 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥😍😍😍
patrick bro get some sleep. you look rough brudda. ur still awesome though
the saddest part is I look better than I feel
Was this video shot on an Alexa?
I'm really curious about this lighting set-up for this review, anyone has any idea? Thanks!
It’s all about managing contrast ratios. Once that’s locked down, you can duplicate your aesthetic in nearly any location.
Wa woo we woah very a nice studio
Tutorial how to shoot with it please.... from turning on camera, record, play back, and copy files to computer. Because I perhaps will never see it immediately in front of my eyes... lol
can the zeiss standard prime cover the whole sensor for the arri mini lf?
Lmao wait did he just say.."MILF"?
Dude I love you!
What camera was this video shot on?
very nice.
Was this video recorded on the Mini LF or the LF? Cheers !
Mini LF
Ohhhhh so I finally get to put the voice to the face
white background
Change it
Vid is low key but txt having wht bg is blinding.....
Content is informative and helpful.
:) 👍
I have listened to your podcast for ages and never once considered that you might have curly hair and a beard. Ha.
The MiLF...That's gonna stick hahahaha
Can't playback footage yet? Yikes. What's the work around?
probably your VTO records sdi signal, but you you wont have slomo playback. so it kinda sucks actually

Love your videos but they do look kinda dark on iPad Pro.
Is it just me, or does this video have some serious audio compression?
Me : ohh.. it the mini version. I think i can afford it.
( Me checking price on Google )
Ummm.. i think canon 1500d is better
the background music is just like 3-5dB too loud. Great video though
the beard!!
#beardlife
woah wth, you're standing? On feet?
where u from bro?
I get it, you guys are cinematographers but I'd prefer you'd thoroughly light the product you are reviewing. Oh and a razor thin depth of field is useless to me. I WANT TO SEE THE PRODUCT. Thanks.
