@@MrKeefy1967 series 1 they hadn't quite worked out the format and how it'd all work...Alex Horne has said as much in interviews, things like the shopping centre task asking members of the public their age, the dynamic between Alex and Greg is different, the editing and set different. It's still watchable but definitely a work in progress.
If we want to get KB into Taskmaster, series 1 might put him off. Better he comes back to it later imo.

What's that .... I'm not sure I've ever seen one here in Ireland. Maybe I should have been digging at more peat bogs during the height of summer.
Mosquitoes are 100% more annoying imo, but flies are still right up there. I even had to pause writing this comment to stop a fly going in my coffee 😂

I saw Greg in Bristol a few years ago and yeah, his stories are hilarious, especially the ones featuring his mum. Saw him the next day in the street, I didn’t approach him as he was in his own little world but I will say this, he’s very very tall !!
Greg Davies 'school nicknames' makes me laugh out loud every time. I think it was on the royal variety.
Best teacher that all the students at my secondary school liked was the drama teacher, if he ever spotted me in my home town on the weekend he always called my name like I was an old friend, so sad that I heard he had a breakdown that finished his life, really miss him

Hope you react to the full Greg Davies standup shows, "The Back of My Mum's Head" (2013) and, "You Magnificent Beast" (2018). His show, "Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog" (2011) is OK but it seemed like he hadn't quite found his footing yet.
All his stand up shows are good. Flies don't eat you. Flies puke on your food and eat the juices. You have to do the nicknames bit.
Indeed, I saw him at a jongleurs (or however that’s spelt) before he had even done the inbetweeners, he was really good but he wasn’t even the headline back then so he’s come a long way!
Have you watched Greg Davies in "The Cleaner". He writes the TV series and stars as a forensic cleaner, who specialises in cleaning the mess up of human remains, blood etc. One episode co stars David Mitchel.
We don't get many mosquitos in Yorkshire, or, at least, not around here!! 🙂

We don't get mosquitos in my part of the UK or even most/all of the UK so flies for me.

Hey Boomer, there is a great sitcom he did called " The Cleaner" . He cleans up crime scenes. Well worth a watch.
With the screens you should check out Dave Gorman stand up he uses them a lot in his shows

Actually most of the sound a fly makes is the sound of it breathing,not with their mouth though they have holes down the sides of their thorax called spiracles, Housefly wings beat up to 1,000 times per second, but the majority of a fly's buzz comes from the movement of air in and out of their breathing holes (spiracles) along the side of their body.
I've lived in 4 countries. Mosquitos are more annoying by far in Spain, China and Indonesia; but they aren't really a thing in any of the UK cities I've lived in. They exist, but they seem to mostly leave you alone. Maybe it's different in London or other parts of the south. I don't think I've ever been bitten by one here. There are little mini ones called midges that do bite you; but the bites are nothing like as painful as real mosquito bites and I've honestly never seen one enter a home like real mosquitoes do.
Honestly, I think we're quite blessed with that, because they were really annoying in Spain and Indonesia and an absolute torment in China.

Funny thing is...the noise that flies make doesn't come from the wings at all. It's made by their spiracles which is how they breath. So yeah, they basically are shouting XD

Worse than a fly or a mosquito is a singular cricket in the middle of the night, keeping you awake with its intermittent chirping until you finally locate it nestled between the motherboard and case of your PC ...
We don't really get mosquitos very much in the UK. The odd one or two that got lost in Africa maybe, but not much of a thing.

Love Greg Davies. I'm a teacher myself and I have a lot of stories lol. You might like Dave Gorman if you like visuals with comedy. He is similar to James Vietch but I seem to find him both educational and funny lol. A RUclips search will get you his most viewed. Seriously recommended even if not done as a video.
Flies or Mosquitos? Except for honey bees, I believe in dealing death out indiscriminately to all flying insects that come near me or into my home.

Mosquitoes (Australian living in Brissy so have a great deal of both, come summer). They emit a High C noise to attract males, and it's fricking _infuriating._

Mosquitoes are worse, but if you think about what flies do then you wouldn't like flies either. They eat carcasses and so on and then fly to your food and eat it too.
I've actually been getting a one or two mosquitoes in the house in the last year or so, and I agree that they're a pain to deal with (if for no other reason than them being too fast or most conventional methods of dealing with insects). I'd say flies are more annoying just by virtue of them being more common, but I could definitely imagine flies being almost a non-issue if you had to deal with an abundance of mosquitoes. Also have you reacted to Taskmaster? That of course has Greg Davis as the host.

I mean… if you want more Greg there’s currently 17 seasons and 6 specials worth of Taskmaster to crack into… 😊 Not to mention that some of his former man down and inbetweeners cast mates turn up as contestants. As do people from a bunch of other stuff you’ve watched
I visited sweden last summer. after an evening outside i counted 150 mosquito bites, just on my feet from the ancle down. There were plenty more on the rest of me but i gave up counting. im Danish and one summer as a 9 year old child in the 90's i had a single mosquito bite on one knee swell so severely that it looked like i had two knees on one leg. not helped by the fact that for a few days, every visitor we had at home, my dad showed me off to like some circus act 🤣🤣really hate mosquitos!🤣

The worst are the ones that start buzzing as soon as you turn off the light to go to sleep. And then it starts. No way you're going to fall aslee with that buzzing, so you turn on the light to deal with the matter and, mmediately... the buzzing stops! You know it's ging to start again soon, so you look for the culprit every effing where, but it is nowhere to be found. So you go back to bed and turn off the light again and immedatelly... Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! You try covering yourself up over the head, and ignore the sound, but it just gets worst, t's as f you just made the bloody thng angier. So you turn on the light again and... complete silence! No mosquito in sight. Light off again, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Light on, silence! Off, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Off, silence! Off... you get the picture.
Eventually you do fall asleep, out of sheer deprivation. And then in the morning, although you slept, in the heat, all covered up, you'll still find at least one bite mark on you, that you didn't even feel when it happened. I mean, FFS, if you're going to bite me without me even noticing it, you could at least let me sleep in peace, no?! Nope, the mosquito says. I hate the freaking things.
Flys are more annoying for me, but then again i live in britain mosquitos are not exactly all that common
and when we do get them its not for long (it gets too cold for them)

Why do so many people in these comments think we don't have mosquitoes in the UK? We do! Loads of em. There are 30+ species of mosquito native to the UK, and yes, we have ones that bite humans! You've almost certainly been bitten by a mozzy in the UK, and just blamed it on another insect.

Also flies annoy me, we get them in the house every summer, I think they follow my wife in. Too fast to swat, and spray doesn't work either, so now I just use a vacuum to get rid of them. ( I use the vacuum cleaner on the flies, not the wife) just to clarify. I tried vacuuming her, but she doesn't fit up the tube, so I guess I'm just stuck with her buzzing around and being annoying.
Flys are annoying, mosquitos are demons, they fly over everyone and bite me, but I'm convinced that wasps are from Hell.😢
